Riverwood is your oasis in the high desert: we have a 1/3rd mile walking trail on the Gunnison River and a large pond, which allow for plenty of nature and shade. Guests have the best of both worlds: less than 20 minutes to the Gunnison Gorge NCA and Dominguez-Escalante National Conservation Areas, but only a half-mile to the amenities of Delta including ample dining, minigolf, drive-in and vintage movie theaters and a large rec center. The Campground has nightly rentals, a bathhouse and grill station. Riverwood is your basecamp for adventure, whether that means gold medal fishing the Gunnison, ending a float from the Black Canyon or launching one through the Dominguez-Escalante NCA. Top-rated Colorado wineries, OHV Trails, the Black Canyon of the Gunnison, mountain biking in Fruita or the Ridgway Area Trails (RAT) are all less than an hour away.

Riverwood Inn & RV Park is sitting on 400 acres on both sides of the majestic Gunnison River in the center of Delta Colorado. An amazing hidden gem in the western slope. Perfect for a fishing trip with seven lakes throughout the property. This truly is the Basecamp of the Western Slope!

We enjoyed our stay at Riverwood RV Park slot (#3) backed up close to the river with shade & spot was spacious fitting our 45ft toy hauler. The camp was nicely maintained and very quiet. Would stay again when back through the area. Lorna

We was supposed to be in spot 3 with some shade, they moved us to spot 1 with no shade. Pictures look nothing like it actually looks. Truthful photos, better management, such as not getting moved to another spot with no shade versus one with shade.

Staff here were super helpful, friendly and accessible. I'd just note that you need quarters for the shower.

It’s an okay spot. It’s in an RV park that has clean bathrooms and coin laundry. It’s not really a camping spot but it worked for us since we were just passing through.

The pictures of this park are very misleading. I'm not saying we would never stay again but it isn't high on our list. This seems to be more of a permanent neighborhood and doesn't have the normal weekend camping vibe. We would have had a great view of the river from our camper door but the camper next to us was so close that that's all we could see. There are minimal amnesties for kids and there isn't a great place to access the river enough to fish. The park is difficult to navigate with a large camper. Ours is only 33ft. My husband (who has a commercial CDL) was able to maneuver but not without some frustration. The park is easy to miss. The entrance isn't very well marked, especially after dusk.

Evan answered and accepted our requests on a last minute evening stop before heading to Silverton. The coordination was easy and Evan called to walk me through the pull in site. He even took the time to research open places to grab a bite to eat. It was a late Sunday evening, on Father’s Day, and the RV site was exactly what we needed for a recharge. All hookups were easily accessible and just as described.
