Creature comforts
Enjoy the comforts of home—including flush toilets, showers, and a kitchen.
Your simple getaway retreat in Teller County, Colorado, is around an hour drive from Colorado Springs and the majestic Pikes Peak mountain. This clean, quiet, remote mobile home feels like camping in the woods but has all the amenities we've become accustomed to. You deserve an affordable vacation! Do you like to spend time outdoors? In under 25 minutes, you can visit the Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument. In just 40 minutes, you can view one of the most beautiful sites in the area called Eleven Mile State Park where the large reservoir is famous among anglers for its amazing fishing including reeling in trophy rainbow, pike, brown, and cutthroat. Maybe you love to take a hike and a quick dip in the cool waters of Paradise Cove/Guffey Gorge located just 10 minutes to the mobile cabin. The Royal Gorge is a short 45 minutes to the SW with an amusement area, zip line, and river rafting much of the year. Want to stay in the woods but enjoy some city life? Historic Manitou Springs, Pikes Peak and the COG Railway are just an hour away. With dozens of restaurants, natural mineral springs, and a historic game arcade, there is fun for all. Maybe a quick trip to a casino is on your agenda. Historic Cripple Creek is known for its amazing casinos and one of the largest gold mines in the world. With much of its historic homes and businesses still in existence, the short 20 minute drive from the cabin will be worth your trip. While in Cripple Creek, pop down to the historic intact and former gold mining mecca of Victor, CO. (Ask for Rita) And if you have curious children, a 40 minute drive into Woodland Park will certainly result in a trip to the Dinosaur Resource Center/ Museum. The mobile cabin is located on two wooded acres and has the amenities you'll need for your "camping" trip. You'll enjoy two bedrooms with full beds, a bathtub/shower, flushing toilet, delicious triple filtered well water, a full size washer and dryer, a full size stainless refrigerator and freezer, a full-size stainless convection oven with propane stove, dishwasher, central heat, a wood-burning cast iron stove (just in case), and an outdoor deck with view of the west side of Pikes Peak. The kitchen has most everything you'll need for food prep. Come stay with us.
