I work out of town occasionaly and dont like to waste money on motel rooms. Itd great there are places like this where someone can just pitch a tent, and enjoy the quietness of the outdoors. The campsites themselves were great. A small open area surrounded by trees. There were chairs provided around campfire pits. A portapotty was provided, which is a great benefit you dont get while rustic camping. The price was unbeatable! I will definately be back to spend some more time with the awesome hosts, and the adorable animals!

The privacy was fantastic! The proximity to everything yet out in the country was good. Lots of livestock of all kinds around the area.

Nice friendly hosts. Don't pass up the Tour, you will learn a lot. Nice camping spot. They even bring a porta-potty to your spot and have water available if you need to fill up a jug.

Great campsite. Good location to explore different hiking trails in the area . I enjoyed the little table and chair at my site. The hosts were very warm and friendly.
Really enjoyed the farm tour! It was very educational and would recommend doing this add on.

This Hipcamp experience was well beyond expectations. LeRoy and Paula are excellent hosts and are very enthusiastic about their Alpaca farm. I would reccomended the farm tour to anyone (regardless of age or interest) as it was just an all around fun and interesting experience. Learning about how the Alpaca fleece is processed - with hands on training - even further pushed the value of this Hipcamp. The campsite experience also was well above expectation as it was perfectly flat and spaced well enough away from others for a private and quiet evening. I highly recommend this campsite to anyone looking for an affordable yet dynamic camping experience.

Wow! This Hipcamp experience at Double G Alpacas far exceeded expectations. The Alpaca tour of the farm, store and fleece processing operations is well worth the visit alone. Paula and LeRoy are incredibly welcoming and cordial Hipcamp hosts. The campsite also far exceeded expectations as it is perfectly flat for tent camping and they are positioned far away enough from each other for sufficient privacy. The mountain views in every direction produced nothing less than absolutely epic sunrises and sunsets. I would highly recommend this Hipcamp experience to anyone (regardless of age or interests) as it would be just flat out interesting to anyone. Thanks again LeRoy and Paula.

Paula and Leroy were fantastic hosts so welcoming and friendly. I loved taking the tour of the alpaca farm! The campsite was large and clean. We usually dispersed camp but we were very comfortable. The space felt very private. And it was very nice having a fresh clean porta potty at camp! We will definitely camp here again!

Really calm and peaceful place. I didn't take the tour unfortunately but I would definitely recommend it. Leroy was there when I arrived and brought the (very clean) porta potty out to my campsite. He was very friendly and accommodating. I loved my stay!

Amazing stay with incredible hosts. They brought out a clean and fresh Porta Potty. Huge property with lots of firewood and a beautiful starry night sky. Our site had a huge ant hill, but we didn’t get bit at all. A tour of the farm and artisan gift shop are a must! The animals are extremely well cared for. Leroy’s passion and knowledge were inspiring! Highly recommend.

The secluded camp area was so nice and clean. Very rustic so come prepared with cooking equipment. Ideal for our love of the outdoors. The hosts were so friendly and accommodating and we were able to choose when to have our alpaca tour. (Worth every penny). There is a clothing studio on site and they sell the tastiest cage free eggs as well. We had a unique and wonderful time!

We had such a wonderful visit. Paula & Leroy were so great, definitely do the tour, so many interesting fun things to purchase, we got a couple things, we love the soap! ! The animals were precious and the weather was perfect.. So close to town if you need, we will definitely be back.

We really enjoyed our camping experience at Paula’s land. Area felt safe and we didn’t encounter much wildlife around the camp site. The property had walking trails which we enjoyed, area was clean and well kept. Porta Potty was clean as well. As others mentioned, if you are looking for a quiet camping experience, you may be disappointed by the donkeys, horses, alpacas and dogs in the area. The donkeys were friendly and come up to the fence to say hi. The noise wasn’t an issue for us. The farm tour was great! Highly recommended.

The campsite was beautiful, very private and under the mesquite trees as mentioned in the description. The toilet was very clean and we were able to make a nice fire. When you visit make sure you bring your own wood or be prepared to collect the mesquite wood which has thorns. These thorns also like to get stuck in your shoes.
At night the dogs in the area were howling quite a bit, so if that bothers you bring earplugs. We could also hear the horses and the alpacas which was nice. They are close, but not too close.
The hosts were very friendly. They live close by but you don't actually see them unless you deliberately go over there. We definitely enjoyed our stay and would love to visit again in the future!!!

Loved the place all around! We got to the site a little late and they were very accommodating! The site was clean, well maintained and stocked up firewood to get a fire going. Other reviewers saying “it’s the cleanest porta potty,” it’s true! Leroy and Paula are incredibly friendly people and have an awesome farm! Definitely making another trip to their campsite!

We had a great time staying at the Alpaca farm. Leroy is a great host with plenty of neat info to share about Alpacas and the farm life. Camping among the mesquites was beautiful and the neighbors, two donkeys, are incredibly friendly. Sweet. Fun. Unique. Secluded just enough to feel like it’s the middle of nowhere. The stars are endless once the sun drops and the cool desert night makes camping perfect.

Who wouldn’t want to meet Alpacas, a pot belly big, miniature horses, goats etc etc etc. I had so much fun on the tour and enjoyed taking photos of all the animals. It was very informational. I also highly recommend the goat milk soap wrapped in alpaca fur!!!
The site was as advertised. The bathroom was clean.

Easy campsite to get to, hosts were easy to communicate with and provided a guide out to the campsite. Cute little spot, quiet. I was just passing through but I would definitely stop again if I ever needed somewhere to camp in the area.

We loved the location of the camp! Close to the city of Sierra Vista but out in the country with all types of livestock around. The campsite had a lovely tree for shade as well as a table with chairs for our use. Would stay again and recommend to friends!

We found the hosts very nice. Nice big campsite. We could sit up a big tent, a screen tent, and a shower tent with plenty of room for everything. Plus have room for our van to park and easily move out.
However, it was just too noisy throughout the night with the nearby dogs and donkeys sounding off all around us. We spent two nights and didn't sleep much with the noise.
