The whole experience was awesome! Great layout and property. David was super friendly and quick with communication! Amazing setup for the dogs too! Highly recommend this place!!!

I give it a 4 star, here’s why…
First, the pictures are misleading, not the host’s fault, just be aware that the water is not adjacent to the RV pads.
Second, the winterized hydrants is understandable, but did not realize the faucets were capped until after someone came out to check the water connection. The caps blend well.
Lastly, I always turn off all breakers , faucets, accessories when I am done at a camp site. Not knowing that the gate was tied into site ones breaker box there was a bit of frustration while trying to exit the “compound”.
HOWEVER…. This would be a very nice place for family gatherings/ camp outs. Large fenced lot, dogs and kids can run freely within. Awesome pavilion with many accessories, plenty of level areas to park campers, RVs, tents.
Host was very quick to reply to our inquiries also. So maybe a 4.5 star.

We had another great camping experience on David’s property. The property was well maintained as usual, which made the whole stay comfortable and stress-free. Everything was clean, organized, and clearly cared for.
One of my favorite parts of the trip was taking morning walks on the trails — they’re incredibly peaceful and a perfect way to start the day. It’s such a relaxing setting, especially if you’re looking to unwind and enjoy nature.
David is also a very responsive host, which makes planning and staying there even easier. He communicates quickly and makes sure everything runs smoothly.
I’d definitely recommend staying here if you’re looking for a quiet, well-kept place to camp!

What a beautiful property! This time I saw ducks at the lake! I also saw lots of seer tracks.
I have camped here many times but this was the first time I had to contact David with a question.
He responded immediately and was so kind.
Of course I look forward to our next visit.

David’s property was, as always, exceptionally well maintained. We had a great time riding the trails and fishing in the pond. This visit, we also spent some time on the gun range, which was a fun addition to our trip. Looking forward to coming back again soon!

This was our first Hipcamp experience, and it was great! The space was so perfect for us with our dogs. The covered pavilion with fans and lights was wonderful in the evening. We had a fantastic weekend, and would definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed Travelhick. The two travel trailer sites were spaced by several hundred feet apart making them very private. The fencing that surrounds the campsites allowed kids and pets to roam freely. The property has, it seems miles of manicured trails suitable for ATV or walking activities. Also available is a shooting range and a pond creating an outdoor paradise. We plan to visit again!

We loved the large, fully fenced area. It makes for a wonderful space to let kids and pets play safely. The trail network throughout the property is extensive. The pond is quite large and has a nice covered dock area to fish from or just hang out. My son and I enjoyed taking the boat out on the water and did some fishing.

We had a wonderful 2nd visit to David’s property. Land is well maintained, so many extras & beautiful slice of relaxation! David has truly thought of everything! From the gazebo area with lights, fans, water & bug zapper to the pond and range everything is meticulously cared for and prepared! The fenced in area is huge and our dogs love it, the trails are clear and beautiful and it’s so peaceful!

This is a great halfway stop between Atlanta area and Panama City or Forgotten Coast area.
The place is secure and convenient. It's much more than a place to park. We loved the pavilion with fans,, tables, grill, and lights.

We had a great stay at Camp Travelhick! Very secure gated camp ground. We did check out the trails down to the fishing pond. Very nice facilities.

We love CampTravelhick! It’s just the right amount of space for us to enjoy a lazy weekend of camping. The fire pits perfect to drive off the bugs or the chill and the kids enjoy roaming the trails and fishing the pond behind the camping area. The dog even enjoys the large fences are to run and stretch his legs. And the full hook ups don’t hurt either!

Dave's property is ideal for enjoying the rural Alabama. The shelter, pond with covered dock are a great bonus. The fenced in area was great for the dog. Thanks David for sharing your wonderful place.

Nice open space with a country vibe. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others, especially with kids and pets, as the trails, pond and fenced area are a great bonus! There is a Highway close but you get the peace and privacy that you don’t get in comparing it to RV parks on a highway.

We had such a fantastic time at Camp Travelhick! We spent our days wandering the trails, getting range time in & lazing about by the pond! Our dogs loved being able to roam the campsite and the trails out back! David has truly developed the perfect campsite!
The trails are well very maintained (I was literally able to drive my MINIVAN down to the range to grab our gear after a long day of walking through the woods/shooting/fishing and make it back out without issue). The pond has an amazing deck with covered seating and plenty of space for a few people to fish comfortably. The range is an awesome addition that we took full advantage of- 3 railroad tie backstops at varying distances and a well built shelter to keep you out of the sun while shooting. The shelter is setup for both standing or prone/seated practice which was a really great touch! Again, David really did think of everything! There is a small creek that runs along the property that was fun to walk along and let the dogs splash in too! The pavilion with fans & lights was great for meals!
Honestly the only “complaint” we had if you want to call it that is the road noise up at the campsite-being so close to a major highway; but even that was not a big deal and by the second day we were able to tune it out

Love love love the acreage of fenced in land for doggo. The rental spot makes me so happy and we will always be a repeat customer.
