Seclusion seekers, you’re in luck: the abundance of vegetation that grows up between the campsites at Tomoka Campground actually provides a bit of privacy. Nestled in a shady hammock, each of the 100 sites here come with water and electric hookups, a picnic table, and a grill. Bonus: you might not be able to see the water through the trees, but the Halifax River is right at your doorstep (tent-step?), on the east side of the campground.

Some sites are close together, but still have trees between them. Weekends are busy, but the weekdays are fantastic. You can rent kayaks on site or bring your own and explore the Intracoastal.
