Excellent Stay as always. We had our 7 grandchildren with us. They were able to ride bikes and play in the creek. Many memories were made this weekend. Thanks Adam.

One of three cabins for family camp

This was my fourth stay at Thunder BRidge in the last three years, and somehow I think I came away loving the place even more this time. This trip was a little different from my previous visits because we turned it into our first big family camping trip. There were 13 of us altogether, spanning three generations, including four senior citizens. We rented three of the cabins for the campers and the Airbnb on the property for the older folks who wanted a few more comforts. Honestly, I can't imagine a place that could have worked better for a group like ours. As always, the campground itself was beautifully maintained. The bathrooms were immaculate, and the pavilion ended up becoming the center of our entire weekend. All 13 of us could comfortably hang out together, play games, cook hot dogs, and put out a full spread of food without ever feeling crowded. Having a space where the entire family could gather made an enormous difference. Adam is also a fantastic host. Over four stays, I've found him to be consistently responsive whenever I've had a question or needed anything. He answers promptly, takes care of the property, and makes the whole experience incredibly easy. The location is almost impossible to beat if you actually want to explore the Natural Bridge area. Devil's Marbleyard is only about five minutes away, Natural Bridge State Park is roughly 10–15 minutes away, Virginia Safari Park is around 15–20 minutes away, and we went tubing with Twin River Outfitters in Buc

Bunny 5

The campground was lovely! We enjoyed Bunny 5, which had a lot of space to spread out in and lots of nice trees. There is a little trail from the back of our site that leads to a beautiful creek -- it was wonderful to wade in. The common area was fun, there was pingpong and various other games. If you need food, the DG Fresh about 7 minutes away is surprisingly not bad at all! Our campsite was set back from the road, it was about a minute walk from the car to the campsite. This wasn't the case for all of the sites, some of them where close to where you would park your car. The bathroom stalls are VERY small -- I'm not a large person and I struggled. It was workable, but just be aware that it is tricky.

Adam was a great host! Our site (Woodpecker 5) was so quiet and peaceful. The campgrounds and bathrooms are well cared for and clean. We plan to return!

BRidge Cabin

Loved Adam’s cabin. We saw some people walking by but other than that really private and did not hear anyone camping around us. Very spacious and lots of seating areas inside and out. Loved the back porch with the swing. Definitely would come back again.

Tent camping at thunder bridge was great! We had a creek to cool off in when it got hot and when we had one day of poor weather we hung out in the club house and we were able to charge all of our equipment. There is a water hole not far from the campsite that was beautiful and fun! It’s very close the natural bridge and the zoo and Dino park 2. Over a great time!

Great place to be at. You will feel completely disconnected from the fast pace life here. We spent our July 4th weekend there which was supposed to be super hot, but we didn’t feel uncomfortable and not hot at all. The creek and the trees help to cool down the temperature which was prefect.

This is a wonderful campground! Each of the campsites is spacious and well organized with a tent pad, fire ring, and picnic tables. We stayed at Woodpecker 7 and loved the size of the site, the proximity to the creek, and the privacy. Adam is a great host! The entire facility is something to behold! Very cool place and close to many attractions.

Really Special Place

Full disclosure, I rent a painting studio at Thunder BRidge so it was already special to me; it has a very compelling balance of resplendent natural surroundings, historical significance, and artistic whimsy always in progress. When family or friends are here with me I'll often rent extra space to stay- this was my first time staying in the RV lot with a kiddo and it was a blast. Really safe for biking and exploring, plenty of room to kick balls, and the lodge is a great place to play games. The night music is an orchestra of whippoorwills, crickets, frogs, and owls, beautiful for falling asleep to. The hosts love what they do, and Adam is always on top of things and happy to accommodate. Also two terrific farm stands nearby. Highly recommend :)

Adam was very accommodating. Even brought over a 30 amp adapter incase we were without. Contacted us ahead of time with more complete directions and video of driving into the site. Campsite and property was very quiet and clean.

Woodpecker 1 was absolutely beautiful! It was close to the creek and we even hunted down one of the swimming holes! It’s also a very easy walk to the bath house and the bathrooms were well kept and clean.

This was our second time staying at Thunder BRidge. Even though it was the hottest weekend imaginable, we still had a great time. The primitive “cabin” was perfect for our friends who don’t typically go camping. We visited a couple swimming holes near by to cool off. We will be back in the fall!

Bunny 3

Visited Bunny 3 just before Fourth of July weekend during a record heat wave, and thanks to the mature trees and natural canopy, we barely felt the heat. When we wanted to cool off, the swimming hole was just a short drive away. I camped with my 3-year-old daughter, and this site was conveniently located near the pavilion and bath house. Adam was a great host. He delivered the firewood we purchased through the app and included a campground map. The arrival video was especially helpful since we lost cell service once we entered the campground. We loved seeing a family of deer roaming near the entrance, and the site itself exceeded our expectations. Two picnic tables, a bench by the fire ring, a large stone fire ring with cooking grates, the gravel tent pad that was easy on the knees, and perfectly spaced trees for hammocks made this an incredible stay. This was only our second camping trip ever, and Bunny 3 has officially become our standard for what we’ll look for in future campsites. We’ll definitely be back!

Enjoyed our stay. We were looking for somewhere close to Natural Bridge and Devils Marble Yard. Can’t really beat the exact middle. Facilities were clean as expected. Cabin was as described. Recommended to our friends already.

Thunderbridge

Adam is incredibly attentive to the needs of guests. Always quick to respond if you have a question and last minute delivery of wood needed? He’s there. I’ve never gone to a site that isn’t clean and tidy, and you can’t go wrong with any of the sites. He really did a nice job of trying to make sure sites are on top of each other. After the day of hiking or hanging out at the lake, you could have the devil’s back brewery for a bite. Highly recommend.

Woodpecker 3

We found Adam’s campground on Google Map and searched on how to book it. The process was easy and the review showed Woodpecker 3 was close to the bathhouse and had a cover over the picnic table. We also purchased a pack of wood that sufficient for our stay. We had a great experience and Adam was very responsive and stopped by to say hi. The facility is clean and quiet. Nice place to chill after a day of outdoor activities. Highly recommended.

Bear 3

The camp was great! It felt very isolated out in the woods which was fantastic! It was only a short walk to the pavilion so it was pretty easy to grab a shower/connect to WiFi if needed. The property is large enough my wife and I were able to get some long runs in by just doing a few laps around. The camp site is close enough to a water tap in the field so it's easy to get water. Adam was extremely helpful and professional. The entire campground is really well kept. Very great experience!

Bunny 4

This was a great spot! We were close to the bath house that we could walk but still far enough off the path that we had our own space away from everyone else. Adam was a great host and even met us at the front entrance late at night to guide us to our site. We had a great trip!

What a great location…but this seems to be some tripe of abandoned youth facility, kind of like a boys camp. Bathroom super clean, tent spots way better in the woods on the creek. RV spots kind of on an old baseball field. We were the only Rv in the campground, nice but a bit eerie. All in all if they keep upgrading this will be a solid campground.
