Granite Creek Ranch is a 4th generation working cattle and horse ranch established in 1921 operated by the same family for over a century. Meadows, crop fields and forested mountains cover the ranch. 230 pairs of cows and two dozen horses call it home along with herds of Elk, Mule and Whitetail Deer, Moose, Coyotes, Redtail Hawks, Bald Eagles, Cranes and many other bird species. Ranch covers over 4,000 acres and the campsites have a couple hundred acres of hiking to enjoy. My family really enjoys the ranching and country life and want to be able to share it with others!

The smaller of the two parks in Caribou-Targhee National Forests, Caribou is a welterweight not to be underestimated. Just south of its older brother, this land spans Utah, Wyoming, and Idaho, and is a crucial spot for supporting caribou populations. None of the animals here are bashful: bison, moose, deer, mountain lions, falcons, elk, and even black bears abound! Beautiful to snap shot from a distance. Just south of the forest, Bear Lake is a fun spot to take a dip after you hike one of Caribou’s dozens of peaks (Mead Peak and Hawks Peak have gorgeous views, as does Big Elk Mountain at the northern tip of the park). At the south end, you’ll find campgrounds, fast flowing creeks, and the Minnetonka Cave at St. Charles Canyon. This is a site to see, but it stays 40 degrees down there all year so be sure to pack a coat, even if you’re sweating above ground. When you’re done, stop in the charming small town of Montpelier, surrounded by rolling hills and full of retro grocers and kitschy eateries. Yum!

The Shoshone and Nez Perce Native American tribes spent their summers in this area hunting and fishing the many streams in this valley.   Trapper's used the area until the U.S. market collapse of the beaver skin top-hat in the late 1830's.  Mormon pioneers began settling here in the 1890's.  My great-grandparents settled in Teton Valley after moving from Nebraska in 1917.  They farmed this land; growing potatoes, barley and hay.  Today we raise alfalfa/grass hay that we feed to our horses.  In the bottom of our field south of the campsite is Trail Creek, which is the headwaters of the Teton River.  It flows out of the southern Teton mountain range in Wyoming and into Idaho.  This water eventually joins the mighty Snake River near Rexburg, Idaho as it continues it's journey to the pacific ocean.  Summer's here are usually warm sunny days with cool, chilly nights.  Our location sits at an elevation of 6,300' above sea level.Learn more about this land:Located 1 mile from Victor, Idaho along the Old Jackson Highway. Amazing opportunity-you simply could not ask for more hospitable hosts. They're incredibly kind and went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. And my last night there, they even threw a small bonfire for all the guests to join and share their travel adventures (which I very much appreciated since I was traveling solo). The views were incredible of course, between the starry night sky, the surrounding hills and the nearby national parks. But I think the people are what made this stay one to remember. I cannot recommend this opportunity enough.

The cabin was cozy, bed was comfy, and bathroom worked well. Used the A/C because we couldn't open the two windows up front, which restricted a beautiful, cool airflow. No toaster. No utensils. All bedding was there and clean. Hosts were friendly and a good resource if local information. Price was right! We would stay there again.

Great site for exploring Teton National Park! The site was well-leveled with gravel. We loved having a picnic bench—not just for meals, but also for tying up the dogs. We enjoyed being the only camper, and of course, nothing beats having water and electricity onsite. :) K’Lea was super communicative and checked in a few times to make sure we had everything we needed. Victor is a cute town with everything you need to stick around for a few days. Highly recommended!

I stayed here with my dog while attending a concert in Jackson, WY. Quiet, serene location. Beautiful scenery. The cabin was cute and stocked with towels, basic toiletries, and a few disposable kitchen utensils. The cabin was cozy with comfortable beds. I utilized the TV, refrigerator and coffee machine with no issues. We enjoyed spending time relaxing on the porch. We would definitely stay again!

Weekend Trip to The Park at Swan Valley

My friend and I LOVED car camping on Bryce & Nellie’s land! Literally the best camping experience I’ve ever had. Everyone was incredibly friendly and so welcoming to us. Definitely stay here, it’s worth it! There’s horses, a clean community kitchen & bathroom, and an hour 20 minutes (ish) from the Tetons!

Super nice hosts and common area. Shower + laundry are really nice!

Our roof top tent was a great set up, but site #2 seems easily accessible by any vehicle.

Beautiful campsite! Very nice to have a platform. No flat ground if you’re in a van like we were. The portable toilet is also quite a walk away. Otherwise well worth the views.

Weekend Trip to Hover Campground in Swan Valley!

We absolutely loved our stay at this adorable cabin in Swan Valley! The cabin itself was so cute and cozy, and the AC was a lifesaver after being out in the summer sun. The host was incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The whole campground was beautifully kept, peaceful, and had such a charming atmosphere. It truly felt like the perfect little getaway spot. We will definitely be coming back again~ we loved it so much! :)

1 night at Secluded Ranch Camp

I loved tent camping here! It is private, secure and quiet. There is one other site but its so far away you feel like you are by yourself. And the views!!!! Chefs kiss!!! AMAZING scenery. My dog loved exploring the space around camp and having the freedom to roam. Wish I could have stayed longer.
