Buffalo Jump RV Site

1 site · RV3 acres · Cody, WY
We are located just 50 miles from Yellowstone park! Please note, our property is not suitable for long-term rentals. In 2004 we purchased the acreage and soon discovered that it is located 1/2 mile from the Horner Buffalo Jump Archeological site. Thus our property, due to its steep terrain immediately took the name “Buffalo Jump”. With its many native trees and bushes the property became an ideal location for an artists studio, and since it had the RV site already in place, we soon had many friends and guests stopping by during the summer months. In 2020 we joined with hipcamp to make the RV site available to select campers. Far back in time the area was utilized by the first campers; Native Americans, who were here living off the land. Artifacts attest to the fact that the property and surrounding regions has been inhabited seasonally for the past ten thousand years.

Southfork Retreat

1 site · RV5 acres · Cody, WY
We have lived here over two decades. Our modest 5-acre property is home to Renée and Sean and our two dogs, two cats, and Maggie the horse. We live and work here full-time and absolutely love summers on the Southfork. We have 4 acres in hay and a huge garden. We both have workshops on the property and enjoy meeting and hosting travelers, since we spend so much time out here by ourselves. We don't yet have bathroom access set up for travelers, so we are offering only to self-contained campers and small RVs at this time. But we can provide electricity, wifi, potable water, and coffee with muffins in the morning. Learn more about this land: We are retired and require arrivals to be here before 10 PM. We can accommodate only self-contained camping vehicles up to 32ft. (This is important – larger vehicles will not be able to turn around). We provide electricity and water, but no bathrooms at this time and no dump station.  Park your small trailer/RV in our Cottonwood grove and enjoy the peace and quiet of the Southfork Valley in northwest Wyoming. We are a retired couple who want to share our stunning mountain views and rural property with travelers who share the Hipcamp values. Easy access to hiking, hunting, fishing, and biking. The elevation here is 5600ft. so even when days are warm and sunny – usually in the 80s – nights cool off into the 50s. You would be close to the house but screened by a grove of trees. We have 5 acres in a beautiful rural area.  We are a 20-minute drive from Cody, in a beautiful mountain valley. Our place is perfect for a night or two of respite from travel and tourist traffic. Sean is a retired wildlife biologist with extensive knowledge of the area. Renée is a designer/educator.

Camp at the Rafter JB

1 site · RV8 acres · Lovell, WY
We have been blessed with this beautiful property and want to share it with others. We have been operating an Airbnb out of the old barn for 3 years now. The barn was the old feed store in Cody and was moved to this property. Buffalo Bill supposedly bought feed from the store. Lovell is known as the Rose Capitol of Wyoming with the climate being perfect for growing roses. The Pryor Mountain Wild Mustangs are just minutes from our place and we almost always see them out there. Cody, only 50 to the west is a town loaded with history of the old west and features Cody Nite Rodeo every night of the summer from June 1 through August 30 as well as numerous museums and other attractions. Buffalo Bill Museum of the West will keep you busy for a couple of days if you are a museum buff. Just about everyday in the summer, you are likely to see a gunfight on the street in front of the historic Irma Hotel. There is also Old Trail Town, a recreated old west town. Further to the west just 90 miles from here is the East gate of Yellowstone open from the end of May until first of November. Thermopolis with their giant hot springs is just about 100 miles to the south of us. The Bighorn National Recreation is just minutes from Lovell featuring the 3rd Largest Canyon in the United States with breathtaking views of the Reservoir from Devil's Overlook. Further to the east are the Bighorn Mountains where you can frequently see moose, elk, deer and other wildlife. Learn more about this land: Traveling in your RV but don't want a traditional "trailer park"? At the Rafter JB you will be the only trailer here, you will enjoy a large landscaped outdoor space which is shared with an Airbnb rental, but there is plenty of room for privacy. You will be away from the main road and can enjoy the pond, fire pit, bbq grill as well as the resident horses.
