Cloud Peak Llamas was established in 1987 and is known as one of North Americas Llama Pioneers. They continue to raise quality llamas for fiber, packing and disposition. We started as the first llama packer in the state of Wyoming and now we welcome campers to come and spend the night with us. While you are here, shop in the wool room where we carry luxurious alpaca and llama fiber and all kinds of llama gifts. Relax and enjoy the firepit. We are a working ranch and do not provide any hookups such as water, electricity or sewer. That would change the experience you get while staying on the ranch. RV's are welcome to use their generators. Water is available for drinking and to fill up your tank. The bathroom is closed for the season and will not open until the weather improves. We have two dog runs available. Your dogs need a rest while traveling so feel free to let them off leash in the dog run. We have a lot of open room so we will help you park in the pasture where you will be surrounded by the animals. We have a short dirt road leading into the ranch. If you love animals and want a ranch experience this is a campsite for you? There is not another camping experience like this. You will love it!! Absolutely loved this spot! The views were incredible and I couldn’t help but smile the whole time while walking around and seeing all the furry friends on the property. I really enjoyed chatting with Barbara too! I will definitely be back!

Weekend Trip to Cloud Peak Llama and alpaca ranch

Barbara and her husband are great hosts. They have a beautiful ranch with awesome animals, which it made our experience more special. This is a working ranch and there is manure scattered around the ranch, which might bother some folks. My husband and I didn’t mind, it is a ranch after all, it’s expected. We had a great time hanging out with the donkeys, goats, the horse, and pony! The view of sunset and sunrise on their property is amazing! Barbara also has fresh eggs for purchase to take on the road, they are the best eggs we’ve had! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone traveling through Wyoming.

Very fun place to stay. Donkey, goats, llamas, alpacas, cats, dogs, ponies, horses, and while antelope everywhere. Once inside the gate, they have you pick whichever spot in the pasture you want. The donkeys come up to you for pets and will lean on you to ask for more. The llamas keep to themselves but so cute. There were multiple baby donkeys and baby llamas that were cute to watch. One baby llama had been born that day and was so adorably small. The outdoor bathroom was a compost toilet in a small shed that was kinda finicky but clean. Heads up though, even though the listing says campfires are aloud, there is a fire ban in Wyoming right now so there was concern with butane stove. The host gives you a cute flier telling you about the farm’s history. He also brought me a tray of coffee with cream and sugar in the morning which was so kind. Don’t forget to take a moment and check out their little shop of alpaca socks and scarves!

It was a unique and great experience spending a night in such a friendly and lovely farm that has Llamas , alpacas, donkeys, horses, goats and chickens coming to greet you. Dwayne was a great host and we love chatting with him and his hospitality. It is definitely a place you should consider to spend a night when come by Casper Wyoming.

Single gal and this spot is very very safe. Toilet was clean and usable. Overall awesome stay. Only thing I would let people know is you are literally staying in the same space as the animals so you need to be comfortable with that and with everything that comes with animals to include the stuff they leave behind. I thought the whole thing was awesome and would 100% stay there again. Host is engaging and kind and I could not recommend this place more.

With the Spring Break and a couple of beautiful days I decided stay for one night to the Cloud Peak Llama and Alpaca Ranch, we arrived and we meet Dwayne and Barbara, they are really nice and helpful, great host. My daughter loved the ranch and stay around the animals, they are so cute. Definitely we going to come back again, we had a great time and we bring a home beautiful pictures and memories!
