Located in Boyd County, Ky (less than two miles from US 23), our 50 acres are on a one-lane, dead end road which makes for a peaceful, quiet night’s sleep under the stars and amongst the trees.
Our sites are completely primitive (no running water, no electricity, no sewer) hike-in or 4WD accessible only, in several locations on the hills behind our residence. Potable water (2.6 gallons in a jug with spout) and portable toilet in privacy tent, or shelter, provided. *Permanent privacy shelter on two out of three sites*
All sites are ideal for tent campers, overlanding-style rigs, or possibly a small, off- road trailer/camper, with fire ring and firewood provided at each site. You will have access to all trails (for hiking only) and shared access to the fishing pond (Catch and Release only at this time). There are plenty of trees for shade, hammocks, etc. There is also an abundance of wildlife: Birds, deer, turkeys, rabbits, squirrels, bobcats, coyotes, and even an occasional black bear.
Large firepit at pond for socializing, if desired (Quiet time from 10pm to 8am as a courtesy to other campers).
We are pet friendly as well as off-leash friendly (on leash on trails or pond area if not friendly). *We do have two off-leash dogs on our property as well*

We are an 8 minute drive from Rush Off-Road - a 7,000 acre off-road park with over 100 miles of trails with new trails being opened up regularly.

Kelli was a terrific host and the description and pictures do not do this camp site justice. I made a reservation on very short notice and arrived about 20 minutes later. Kelli and her husband had hauled 2 gallons of water up to the campsite, set up a portable compost toilet, made sure firewood was stocked, and greeted me when I pulled in. They offered to haul my camp gear up to the site in their quad runner but I was able to get up on my adventure style motorcycle (in retrospect I should have taken them up, it’s not a very long trail but it is challenging). All of the campsites are set up beautifully. There are hiking trails around the property. Everything is so clean and managed. And it is quiet and beautifully set. This was one of the best sites I’ve ever camped. The price is a bargain. I highly highly recommend this location. Thank you so much Kelli!!

Great spot! Even though I booked last minute (and in the rain) they let me come by and set up camp. Definitely need 4WD to access any of the sites by car, hosts also have a vehicle to get you there if you don’t. Thanks, I’ll stop by again when I’m passing through.

This was so much fun. The animals are really wonderful and it is so serene back in nature. I would recommend to anybody who's looking for a total escape! The owner is absolutely wonderful and super accommodating. I cannot hype it enough and we definitely will be back!

Weekend Trip to Prayer Mountain
Spending a day and night at Brandon's A-frame cabin was a positive experience my partner and I will never forget. The cabin itself was cozy and stocked with all the essentials. The surrounding area is what really made for a memorable experience. We came in late, well after dark, and were greeted by a small persistent goat attendant who kept us company while we got settled. The next morning, we were greeted by several more, as well as peacocks, emu, pigs, and donkeys. We had no idea there were so many animals and were delighted to hang out with them all morning long.

4 nights at Walnut Falls Escape
Highly recommend! This cabin is perfect. Not only is it beautiful, but it is clean and fully stocked with anything you might need. The wood burning stove keeps it incredibly warm and cozy in the winter. The property surrounding the cabin is beyond beautiful! There are hiking trails and a stream that can be heard from the cabin's porch. The site is very private and quiet. I also can't say enough good things about the host Craig! Incredibly nice, quick to respond, and willing to whatever to make your trip perfect. I can't wait to go back!!!
