Weekend Trip to Our Farm in Strasburg, VA
Don’t even think about it. Best glamping experience! The hosts are very responsive. Get their blueberry scones! Loved that the space is very private with beautiful views. We enjoyed the sheep right outside our window. The amenities are excellent. Thank you for a lovely weekend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the Full Moon dome. 2 adults and 3 large dogs had PLENTY of space both inside and outside to rest and relax. We LOED watching the sheep outside the large dome window while drinking coffee in the mornings (French press provided!). There was plenty of firewood for the firepit and a propane grill nearby - we had such a peaceful experience.
Highly recommend ordering some popovers and banana nut w/ chocolate chip muffins! We ordered the night before and Remy had them made and packaged in a wonderful picnic basket by 08300 the next morning! And while you're there, pick up some fresh grass-fed steak for grilling bringing home.
Directions: site navigation was very easy. Custom road, parking, and site signs made it very easy to find the dome at night,
All linens for both bed and futon are provided so we didn't need to worry about packing bedding/pillows etc Traveled in early November and didn't have any issues with bugs like mosquitoes or ticks.
Compost toilet in the dome was such a luxury and easy to use.
Tips/tricks: bring a bucket or bowl for gray water. You'll need a way to wash plates/utensils, french press, hands etc.

The Almost Heaven Bridge campsite at Stoney Creek Campground is definitely a winner - a beautiful misty morning over the the river bend. Andrey is a responsive host; we found the site as he described it and provided access info. Amenities were satisfying; a fire ring with turning grill filled all we needed for the night: campfire and cooking platform. Plenty of space with privacy. Bathroom assigned to our site/group exclusively, was clean and within comfortable reach even at night. Couldn’t beat the hot shower after a cool night! A convenient camp store with all the typical things one forgets for a camping weekend.
Would definitely recommend and come again.

We loved the Full Moon Tent at Remy’s Farm! The tent was spacious - which came in handy during a rainy evening. Bed was comfy, plenty of blankets and pillows to stay cozy for a lazy morning or cool evening. The views were lovely. We had fall colors, lots of open space, and a perfect getaway from the city. We’ll definitely be back!

Second time staying at Stoney Creek Campground, this time at the north site and had a blast. Mid October was a great time to visit for a peaceful getaway and view the vibrant changes in foliage with the fall season. Our group had a great time at the north site, which was spacious and well maintained with a beautiful view of the river and excellent access to the water. We made use of the camp store for firewood and supplies which was operated by friendly staff. Additionally, the bathroom was well maintained and stocked upon our arrival. We’ll definitely be back again and look forward to our next visit to Stoney Creek Campground.

My husband and I (and our dog) needed a weekend away from the city noise, and Remy’s place was perfect! The quiet getaway we needed. We bought some bratwursts from them and they were delicious! We’d never been to Strasburg before but there’s a lot of amazing coffee and food downtown as well if you need something to do. Definitely will be coming back!

The place is very private, which is great if you’re with a large group of friends. It’s also nicely separated from the other camps, so you get plenty of space and quiet. The bathrooms are within walking distance — they’re okay, but the water smells pretty bad, so I didn’t even want to brush my teeth or take a shower there. The river is nice to look at, but not really for swimming since it’s not deep, at least not in the south campground where we stayed. During the day, the sun hits directly and there’s not much shade. Besides that, I loved the privacy — if that’s what you’re looking for, this place is perfect.

This property is perfect for large groups who want to enjoy nature but also not be too far from modern amenities. The location is beautiful, with many scenic vistas along the Great Cacapon River. There is plenty of camping space. Each camping zone has it's own unique attraction. There are ample clean and convenient bathrooms, and ample parking so that your vehicle can be very close to the camping areas. Because the country store is there, you never feel worried that you will have to run out because you forgot something. The food they serve is also really good, and you can pick up beer, wine, ice, and firewood too! Our party used the pavilion for live music and movies at night. Andrey was exceedingly hospitable and helped our goup feel welcome and and answered every question I had -- which were many!

1 night at Our Farm in Strasburg, VA
Beautiful spot that is secluded and private, yet plenty of space with a perfect view of the night sky. The dome was very cozy and homely and felt like you were staying inside something like a cabin or private home.
It does get pretty warm inside during the day if the curtains are left open; there was a ventilation fan and also two flaps on the exterior to help move air and control the temperature. It was also chilly during the night (our visit was in early-September) but there were extra blankets for nights like that. It also gets very dark once the sun goes down but there were two lanterns that helped get around and also several small lights around the interior.
If I were to give any suggestions for the host, it might be beneficial to look at setting up solar so there’s power to charge electronics and maybe even set up some hanging lights inside. The rechargeable lantern had plenty of battery for our stay since it was just for one night but would not have lasted for two.
Overall, I highly recommend booking a stay here! The host was very friendly and communicative and the property was well maintained and furnished. The dome is secluded but has plenty of open space around you and has a beautiful view of the night sky! I also loved that firewood was already provided and whoever thought of including a wagon with your stay deserves a raise! Will be definitely be back soon!

What an incredible time we had... it was our dog's first camping trip and she loved it. Our host Remy made it an easy and enjoyable stay. You must order her scones and coffee - it made a great start to the day. She provided firewood and kept us in supply. We stayed at the half moon and we look forward to staying at the full moon one weekend.

This was my 6th time at The Full Moon Dome. It is always stunning at night and in the morning. We enjoyed the mountain views and stargazing. The partially fenced area is also a plus.

The campsite was exactly as advertised. The bathrooms had hot water, and the store on sight had good prices. Being right on the water was great and you can kayak or canoe up and down the river. Me and the boys are definitely making this our spot for an annual trip.
