We do not take late comers as we are a farm and are early to bed and early to rise. I'm sorry!
We are the third generation in this location and the great grandparents had the adjoining property. My father was born and died in this house, and I was raised here also. After teaching for 32 years my husband and I inherited the farm from my folks who have since passed. There are no orchards left on the property but we are moving on with a vegetable and flower garden, goats, chickens and a llama. We have a gorgeous view of Lake Chelan but can only offer dry camping at this time. Our area has a multitude of things to do!

Exquisitely beautiful area formed by melting glaciers forming the "Alta Coulee". The campground is situated at the South end of Alta Lake, owned and operated by my grandparents in 1946 until my father took over in 1980 adding commercial Outfitting and Guide services by Sawtooth Outfitters. The lake is 220 acres known to Anglers near and far. Plenty of room for the sunseekers wanting to play in the water on paddle boards, kayaks, jet skis, and water skiing. An 18-hole Golf Course resides at the North end of the lake and white water rafting just a few miles down the hill on the Methow River. For the foodies, Chelan is just 30 miles south and Twisp/Winthrop is 40 miles to the North, also abundant with events, wineries, and shopping.

Stay in a vintage 1966 Road Runner restored trailer just 9 miles from the town of Leavenworth and 5 miles from Plain WA. Our Road Runner is like staying in a tiny cabin out in a field with electricity, water and a comfy double bed. There is an outhouse with a compostable toilet very close by. My husband & I put a lot of blood sweat & tears into making this a place our kids would enjoy during our weekend vacations to Leavenworth. We love hiking & there are a ton of nearby hikes. Despite it being located on the other side of the train tracks, we always seem to have a good time. We hope you enjoy it too!

Outdoor enthusiast will enjoy this glamp spot! Utilize the dry cabin equipped with two twin size beds, a pullout couch bed, a dining table with 4 chairs & extra seating. With plenty of space outdoors, feel free to pitch a tent or bring your RV for friends! It is a dry cabin meaning there is no running water. We have it powered with a solar panel which should give enough electricity to charge phones & lights as needed. There is also an outhouse with a compost bucket if you'd like to use that. The downside to this lovely parcel is it's on the opposite side of the train tracks, so there will be occasional noise. Maybe it adds to the uniqueness? Just keep that in mind as once in a blue moon, the train does stop so you may be stuck for a few minutes. Oh & those power lines sometimes make a crackling noise. Sometimes we notice it & other times we don't. Now that we got that out of the way, the pros are it's a great place to explore. There are a ton of nearby hikes. This spot is in between Stevens Pass & the famous Alps candy store, with each being about 15 mins away. There is a gas station/convenient store, a few diners, and a rest stop within 5 minutes. Historical Leavenworth is about 20 mins.
There is a spot for campfires, a small 2 burner propane stove & an ice chest for your convenience, but you will need to bring the propane.

We've spent the following years regenerating the land, planting trees, building our house and collecting places for people to rest their heads.
Masabaje is the first two letters of each of our parents names (Margaret, Sandy, Barry, Jerry).
We offer multiple listings - the cottage, a converted schoolbus, an Airstream, truck bed glamp pod and tent spot.
Meet Birdy, a semi-converted Blue Bird school bus with a comfortable queen mattress, couch, two recliners, dry kitchen, cooking utensils, and camp stove. There is access to a toilet, shower and sink (clean up area) in back room of main house (about a 4 minute walk).
Birdy sits at "Top Pond", farthest from the house in a super quiet and private spot. You must bring your own bedding or sleeping bags, pillows, etc. (available here for an additional fee). There is no electricity available in Birdy.
Devices can be charged up at the house. There is also no heater in Birdy, overnight temperatures in September and October can dip down into the mid-low 40's or lower.
Meet Tin Man, we found him after he had been in an accident. We bandaged him up and he became the first place to sleep when we bought our empty land. He has a comfortable double mattress, couch, chair, kitchen, cooking utensils, and two burner stove. There is access to a toilet, shower and sink (clean up area) in back room of main house (about a 30 second walk).
Tin Man sits on our driveway round-a-bout and is closest to the house.
You must bring your own bedding or sleeping bags, pillows, etc. (available here for an additional fee).
Ellensburg is known for its wind and our land is just down from a wind farm. We cannot control the wind, but Birdy sits in a pretty wind protected oasis.
Masabaje is a clothing optional space.
We are less than 2 hours from Seattle, 1 hour to Yakima wine country, 40 minutes to Vantage, 40 minutes to Leavenworth, 50 minutes to Snoqualmie Pass, 15 minutes to Ellensburg, 25 minutes to Roslyn, 25 minutes to Yakima River Canyon for floating and hiking, and so much more!

Beautiful tiny home made with love and great craftsmanship. I was surprised to find it equipo with a stove and small fridge. The home felt cozy but not too tiny. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching the river go by.
Peaceful solitude along the river.
We enjoyed the visits from two friendly cats and a beautiful friendly pet dog. We were able to climb the ladder to the comfortable loft bed that has an amazing view of the river. Might not be easy for older folks or someone with an injury but we did just fine. The host and his family were welcoming but also gave us privacy. It was the perfect place for us to stay while we visited Twisp.

This spot was amazing! The wild flowers were in bloom & the access to the field was perfect for my dogs to get their energy out while not endangering them. There is a creek that runs the back side of the property that was really cool. Don't let the size of the trailer intimidate you! Its small, but was perfect for 2 large adults, 1 GSD, and 2 small dogs. The bed was spacious and adequately long enough for my 6'2 partner to stretch out. Candida met us when we got there and gave us a super quick run down, and even provided a complimentary bag of ice.

It’s our third time staying here but our first time at Birdy. Loved being greeted by Pluto and Sun. Our 2 year old loved Birdy! She’s been wanting to ride on a bus. We loved camping in Boxcar Annie! It had all the modern conveniences and was sparkling clean. The land was well maintained, quiet, and a short walk from the river. Weekend Trip to Redstead Riverfront
It was a little toasty in the tiny house/cabin when we first got there. But once we settled in & got the ac going, it cooled down nicely. Well lit inside with string lights & a small USB lantern to move hang where we needed. Two of the sweetest barn cats visited us at dinner & again for breakfast. The river was great for paddle boarding (we brought our own), with a little walkway to our own private entrance to enter. Loved our little one night staycation.

We had the perfect time staying in Scott's tiny home on the river. Highly recommended. He is a gracious host and the dippable river along with spot to chill made this trip quite memorable. We floated from his place down the river to Carlton where there is a market for cold drinks and a great swimming hole. Twisp is about 10 minutes away for supplies. Perfection, just stay here. We will be back for sure.
