If you're needing a camp spot anywhere in the area - this is the one!
We've stayed at many hipcamps all over the country and I'd have to say that Rich's camp was the cleanest, nicest, and over all best one we've stayed at so far.
The site:
It was peaceful and surrounded by woods. Rich put a lot of thought into designing the layout and it absolutely shows.
We were far enough off the road (dirt and quiet) that the few cars that did pass were no issue at all. You can't even see the road from the situation your camper .
The gravel pad was perfectly level and didn't even require leveling blocks (a first for us). We had the place all to ourselves, except for the wild turkeys who would pass through occasionally.
The view of pines from every window was just so nice and relaxing. There was also a gazebo with picnic table provided that was fantastic. Clean, sturdy and very important - spider free!

What a truly nice man! The world would be a better place if there were more people like Rich.
He reached out before check-in and gave us directions to the spot, eating recommendations for in town, activity ideas, and checked on us day of to see how our travel was going. He stopped by to ensure that we were doing ok during our stay, and stayed to chat for while. It was lovely.
Needless to say we would absolutely stay again.

This is an amazing site! We came in after 10pm and we were still able to register for a spot and directions were sent through the app. It was so easy to find. There was motion sensor lights to help us back in our RV. Only the lights at our site went on which was nice so if there are other RVs then their lights wouldn't go on and disturb them (though we were the only ones there). It was so quiet and peaceful. No traffic noise even though you are very close to the highway. No problems and felt safe. Very easy hook up, even for people that don't know much about RVs. :) Wonderful experience! 100% recommend this site!

Great spot close to Coeur d' Alene. It was nice to have electrical hookups. Loved the string lights! It did get a bit noisy at times with the proximity of the highway and a shooting range close by. We loved the surroundings and our site felt private. The goats were adorable! Would stay here again.

A very nicely appointed site a short drive from town and plenty other great outdoor activities. It's the perfect base camp for exploring the area of Northern ID. Sites have full hookups, are level, private and wide, with a covered picnic bench and a small, lockable shed. The amenities at this Hipcamp reset my expectations and are now the baseline by which all others will be judged. Other than a short semi-steep climb off the road, it's very easy to get into your spot (even for large rigs).
A few FYI's to be aware of. First, bring Yellow Jacket traps. They were constant when we visited in late August. They're chasing moisture, so keep wet stuff away from you and you'll be fine. Second, this is the real Idaho. There's a sandpit a few miles away where people shoot, as well as a local competition on Sunday at another location near the Hipcamp. Both are shooting away from your location, so you're not "down range"...but something to be aware of.

The site was fantastic. Power, trash, table and lights were all great. I wish a tent site was a little more level but it was totally fine. The trail to the goats and garden was wonderful. My kids loved it and begged to go ever chance they got. We met the owners down there and they were very friendly and welcoming. We would definitely recommend.

This is a really special place! We loved our wooded site. It was quiet and peaceful, and located in a lovely rural area. Our daughter was able to ride her bike around a gravel loop, and we all took walks down to visit the goats and chickens. It’s very welcoming with light strung up and a sweet sign with camping “rules” (all the things to enjoy when camping).
And it’s only 10 minute drive from Silverwood, Would stay here again for sure.

These hosts deserve 5 stars for excellent communications! We booked in late (8pm-ish) and arrived after dark. They were so helpful with ensuring we had throw directions through text, as we were concerned about not having data or service, coming from Canada.They’re such lovely people with an amazing property!
We were so stoked on the beautiful valley view from the site and private outhouse that was very clean and didn’t smell… at all!!
The walking trails connecting the site to the sunset trail and communal space are well maintained and a beautiful taste of nature and the property has to offer.
We had so much privacy and felt well looked after. We will definitely be returning! <3

Norman‘s land was amazing. He was an even better host. You have quick easy access to Silverwood and triple play both under 20 minutes away. It was nice and quiet! Loved that he had both 50amp and 30amp right at the camp sight and no need to run cord long distances. The Kids loved the kids “goats” a quick walk down the hill. The walking path was just enough to burn off your children’s energy while you drink your morning coffee. 10 out 10 would recommend again. We will definitely be back!

This is the second time for us staying at Norman's land. Both times was during our visit to Silverwood. The place is at a convenience distance from the park. It's secluded and quiet, perfect for a well rested night between our two days adventure. We will definitely be coming back again.

Nearby camping areas with wifi, full hookups, and a self-service RV wash make it easy to head to Turnbull for a day trip.
