The sunseeker tent was so cute!! I highly recommend for groups, especially with doggies:) the outhouse was so nice and clean, and the land is so beautiful and well maintained.

Weekend Trip to Fern Haus
The Stargazer Bell Tent was a lovely little spot! There was a creek that was easy to get to and just adorable. The campsite itself and the tent were nicely cared for and the people nearby at the other campsite weren't much of an issue (except for leaving the outhouse quite messy, causing us to clean up after them). The outhouse was surprisingly very nice, for an outhouse! You can tell a lot of love goes into this whole spot at Fern Haus. The only tiny complaint I have is that all of the furniture pieces (chairs at the table inside the tent, chairs by the firepit, the picnic table itself, and the chairs by the creek) were cheap, flimsy, unstable, and rickety. I did not feel safe sitting in anything supplied at the campsite. I was glad we brought our own camp chairs! But other than that, we had a great time! Comfy bed, too! Thanks for the adventure!

Frankly speaking. this was one of the best camping trips we ever had. Booked it at a very last minute and upon getting there, while rather basic, the whole experience just blew us away. Such a peaceful and tranquil place! The mornings were surreal, no car noises, no airplanes, just birds and nothing else! Furthermore, to my surprise our kids were spending hours around sheep and never mentioned they were bored (WIFI is only available in around the outdoor kitchen) and we didn’t have a reception, which was great, a true gadget detox 🙂. Once again this was a great experience and we can’t wait to get back there!

Camping here was amazing!! The peace and the natural beauty were amazing! The composting toilets didn't smell at all. So refeshing. The outdoor kitchen had all the basics with a fun vibe!

The host is absolutely amazing! We hosted a campout on the whole property and everyone only had wonderful things to say. She was very attentive and helpful! I couldn't recommend this place enough!

Weekend Trip to Fern Haus
What a beautiful stay! Less than an hr from Portland, and really a nice drive once you're out of the city. The grounds are really pretty and well maintained, makes it nice to wander around on.
The campsite itself wasn't quite as private as I expected. We were kinda tucked away, but still within shouting distance of the next campsite over. But there was a lil trail wandering down to a private section of the creek which was nice to get your toes into. They even had chairs beside the creek which was nice to sit beside at night and look at the stars.
The bell tent was very comfy and had all the basics needed. And the outhouse was surprisingly clean and comfortable.
I definitely want to come back and maybe check out one of the other sites. The geodome looked really cool!

Definitively the nicest toilet I‘ve ever experienced while camping/glamping. Peaceful, private and large tent with attention to detail. Waking up to roosters and a running creek is a plus. :)

We had the best time at the sun seeker site!! Such a great location. Close to the creek for dips, lots of shade, two fire pit areas. The bathroom was impeccable! The tent was able to fit a couple more cots to fit 6 people total, and then a few areas to pop up tents as well. Loved having the extra amenities. Firewood all around! We had the best time here. Also, it being such a large area of land and only a few sites kept the area quiet. Would definitely come back here with another group of friends for memory making.

Den’s place is a great place to get away from the bustle of life. I stayed in the red yurt, which was large enough for me and my 55lb dog, and her dog bed. Our space was private and shaded in the trees.
The outdoor kitchen is super charming and has everything you need to cook up some food, charge your phone, or get some filtered water.
I chose this place hoping to avoid the sound of fireworks over the 4th, but unfortunately they neighbors off yonder didn’t mind risking a forest fire. So my poor dog and I had to pack up and leave early for our sanity.
Den was friendly and welcoming, along with some other folks there helping out.
I would definitely go back for another stay.

Just as everyone has mentioned, the location is beautiful spacious and peaceful. I stayed in the blue tent near a magical maple tree. I heard called grandmother Maple. Den was so welcoming when we first got there.

3 nights at Elkenmist
Everything went well. Nice private site. Staff super helpful. Den answered my questions before I arrived (on a gold wing trike and wanted to make sure I could get to site. )
Beautiful property, eclectic. Outdoor kitchen was great to have. Outdoor shower worked however needs a little work.
Nice walking trails. A must if you wish some of nature’s grandest beauty.

Weekend Trip to Fern Haus
This was a beautiful property with easy access but very private feeling. We were super impressed with the accommodations. The tents were roomy, well decorated, and cozy. Everything was so easy and needs were anticipated - from the firewood available for firepit and stove, to the earplugs by the bed in case of excessive nature sounds. The composting toilet/outhouse was clean and quaint and looked downright fancy. We enjoyed our time and will definitely keep it in mind for future quick gettaways!
