Purchased in 2013 after a fire came through the area. We've spent the last 7 years regenerating the land, planting trees, building our house and collecting places for people to rest their heads. Masabaje is the first two letters of each of our parents names (Margaret, Sandy, Barry, Jerry). We offer five listings - a converted schoolbus, an Airstream, retro trailer, truck bed glamp pod and tent spot. Meet Birdy, a semi-converted Blue Bird school bus with a comfortable queen mattress, couch, two recliners, dry kitchen, cooking utensils, and camp stove. There is access to a toilet, shower and sink (clean up area) in back room of main house (about a 4 minute walk). Birdy sits at "Top Pond", farthest from the house in a super quiet and private spot. You must bring your own bedding or sleeping bags, pillows, etc. (available here for an additional fee). There is no electricity available in Birdy. Devices can be charged up at the house. There is also no heater in Birdy, overnight temperatures in September and October can dip down into the mid-low 40's or lower. Meet Tin Man, we found him after he had been in an accident. We bandaged him up and he became the first place to sleep when we bought our empty land. He has a comfortable double mattress, couch, chair, kitchen, cooking utensils, and two burner stove. There is access to a toilet, shower and sink (clean up area) in back room of main house (about a 30 second walk). Tin Man sits on our driveway round-a-bout and is closest to the house. You must bring your own bedding or sleeping bags, pillows, etc. (available here for an additional fee). Ellensburg is known for its wind and our land is just down from a wind farm. We cannot control the wind, but Birdy sits in a pretty wind protected oasis. Masabaje is a clothing optional space. We are less than 2 hours from Seattle, 1 hour to Yakima wine country, 40 minutes to Vantage, 40 minutes to Leavenworth, 50 minutes to Snoqualmie Pass, 15 minutes to Ellensburg, 25 minutes to Roslyn, 25 minutes to Yakima River Canyon for floating and hiking, and so much more!

The site is at the very end of the popular "Black canyon" section of the Methow river. Rafting and fishing guides use this property regularly. There is ample space for boat and trailer parking. There is a winery in walking distance that offers a beautiful oudoor tasting experience. Winter opportunities include cross-country skiing and snowmobiling. Nearby the recreational opportunities abound. Alta Lake is a popular tourist area only 2 miles away. 4 miles away is Lake Pateros - home to many popular species of gamefish with massive runs of salmon passing eagerly anticipated each year in summer. The number in 2024 was over 500,000. Winthrop Wa. -a small western themed town is 30 miles away and a popular tourist destination. This is for the adventurous Hipcamper that appreciates the bumpy dirt road. Your Honda Civic or Toyota Corolla won't get you here. Cell service is limited. It is not recommended to arrive after sunset But it is so worth it. Come relax and enjoy the views of the Columbia River and the North Cascades. Plenty of sunshine with epic sunsets, our property is where you come to unwind and soak in the sun when the west side of the Cascades is socked in with clouds and rain. If you want to explore the area, it's about a 10-minute car ride to the Columbia River and 20 minutes to Chelan and all that is offered there. Our favorite activities when we visit are to listen to the birds chirp and take in the surroundings. There are several lava rock piles that speak to the long and volcanic geological history of the area. We also really enjoy walking the dirt road on the ridge. It provides some of the most incredible views in the area. The dirt road section over the ridge can be a little rough and dusty and it's recommended that guests have a medium clearance vehicle, such as a Subaru Outback. However, a guest once drove their Honda Civic down to the site, so it really depends on your comfort level. If in doubt, just ask! We have a security camera on site we use for wildlife sightings and to check the weather. If the idea of having the camera bothers you, feel free to place a blanket or some other type of cover during your stay. We can also turn the camera to only face the entrance. Just let us know. Please respect the surroundings and others' property. There are several other vacation cabins in the area and everyone enjoys their peace and quiet. We provide a privy for guests to use, but be prepared to pack out waste in case it doesn't meet your standards. We try to keep it clean and stocked with TP, but we can only get out to the land every few weeks. If you're looking for peace and tranquility, Sagebrush Hollow is the place for you.

This place is one of its kind. Perfect place to spend a peaceful weekend. We loved the setup and getting up there will definitely need a 4×4 as a small patch of the route up is a bit rough. The host was great in guiding us ahead with the right route to the place and was helpful with passing on some information way ahead. Cellular signal up there wasn't bad for us. I'll be recommending this place to a few of my jeep friends who a package of offroading and camping.

I loved my stay at this little cabin. It’s tucked away in a beautiful spot, with sweeping views of the valley and mountains that make you feel completely removed from the rush of everyday life. The directions to get there were clear, and while cell coverage is minimal, there’s just enough to make a call if needed—which struck the perfect balance between isolation and peace of mind. The cabin itself has everything you need, and the solar-powered battery pack was a thoughtful perk. Nights were especially magical—stargazing here is absolutely incredible. If you’re looking for a place to disconnect, recharge, and soak in nature with a breathtaking view, this cabin is the perfect getaway.

This has to be one of the best Hipcamps ever! The views are incredible, especially at sunset. The cabin is very cute and cozy, and has everything you need. I didn't think the road was bad at all - my Ram Promaster van made it just fine, but it definitely depends on your experience with dirt roads and comfort level. It was so peaceful and quiet, with a lot of deer around. I couldn't recommend this place more!

Staying in this camper for the weekend was nice. There’s running water, an icebox, a gas stovetop, and electricity. I didn’t have any cell service or WiFi but that didn’t bother us any. It was nice having the table and chairs outside to eat breakfast and enjoy a cup of coffee before our day’s adventures. Only 15 minutes away from Leavenworth.

Stayed in Bedford on a Monday night and it was extremely peaceful. Bathroom was such a nice treat for a spot like this after long hiking days. The dogs Sun & Pluto were a major highlight while missing our dog on this trip! Would absolutely stay again!
