Purchased in 2013 after a fire came through the area. We've spent the last 7 years regenerating the land, planting trees, building our house and collecting places for people to rest their heads. Masabaje is the first two letters of each of our parents names (Margaret, Sandy, Barry, Jerry). We offer five listings - a converted schoolbus, an Airstream, retro trailer, truck bed glamp pod and tent spot. Meet Birdy, a semi-converted Blue Bird school bus with a comfortable queen mattress, couch, two recliners, dry kitchen, cooking utensils, and camp stove. There is access to a toilet, shower and sink (clean up area) in back room of main house (about a 4 minute walk). Birdy sits at "Top Pond", farthest from the house in a super quiet and private spot. You must bring your own bedding or sleeping bags, pillows, etc. (available here for an additional fee). There is no electricity available in Birdy. Devices can be charged up at the house. There is also no heater in Birdy, overnight temperatures in September and October can dip down into the mid-low 40's or lower. Meet Tin Man, we found him after he had been in an accident. We bandaged him up and he became the first place to sleep when we bought our empty land. He has a comfortable double mattress, couch, chair, kitchen, cooking utensils, and two burner stove. There is access to a toilet, shower and sink (clean up area) in back room of main house (about a 30 second walk). Tin Man sits on our driveway round-a-bout and is closest to the house. You must bring your own bedding or sleeping bags, pillows, etc. (available here for an additional fee). Ellensburg is known for its wind and our land is just down from a wind farm. We cannot control the wind, but Birdy sits in a pretty wind protected oasis. Masabaje is a clothing optional space. We are less than 2 hours from Seattle, 1 hour to Yakima wine country, 40 minutes to Vantage, 40 minutes to Leavenworth, 50 minutes to Snoqualmie Pass, 15 minutes to Ellensburg, 25 minutes to Roslyn, 25 minutes to Yakima River Canyon for floating and hiking, and so much more!

We do not take late comers as we are a farm and are early to bed and early to rise. I'm sorry! We are the third generation in this location and the great grandparents had the adjoining property. My father was born and died in this house, and I was raised here also. After teaching for 32 years my husband and I inherited the farm from my folks who have since passed. There are no orchards left on the property but we are moving on with a vegetable and flower garden, goats, chickens and a llama. Philville is 3.85 miles from US 97 on state highway 153. Near Pateros wa., the property is ten acres and includes 3 acres of tent sites, 3 rv hookups and 3 cabin rentals. All sites are riverfront and the adjoining property is a state fishing access and boat launch used by rafters and fishermen. The site is at the very end of the popular "Black canyon" section of the Methow river. Rafting and fishing guides use this property regularly. There is ample space for boat and trailer parking. There is a winery in walking distance that offers a beautiful oudoor tasting experience. Winter opportunities include cross-country skiing and snowmobiling. Nearby the recreational opportunities abound. Alta Lake is a popular tourist area only 2 miles away. 4 miles away is Lake Pateros - home to many popular species of gamefish with massive runs of salmon passing eagerly anticipated each year in summer. Upon entry to property if you need to disconnect vehicle or trailers, there is a large space Southeast upon entry. Caretaker lives on site in the farmhouse. This was the perfect weekend away - largely in part to Masabaje camp! The land was beautiful, the Tin Man a sweet and cozy landing place for the evening, and Pluto, Sun, and roaming cats were the sweetest new pet friends. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

I cannot express how lovely my night here was. We arrived late after dark and we were greeted so kindly by the host. Waking up in the morning to see the most beautiful property was a treat. I would absolutely stay here again, I only wish I had more time to stay there!

Stayed in Bedford on a Monday night and it was extremely peaceful. Bathroom was such a nice treat for a spot like this after long hiking days. The dogs Sun & Pluto were a major highlight while missing our dog on this trip! Would absolutely stay again!

Weekend Trip to Secluded goat pasture and lake view

Sari has done wonderful job converting her flower barn into a quaint room. The Bouquet Barn was a unique and cozy stay. Sari was a wonderful host, and her animal friends were fun to interact with. The flower field was in bloom, and the view with Lake Chelan in the distance is spectacular. The barn itself features a comfortable queen size bed, a lamp on a side table as well as overhead lighting, a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. The outdoor dining area features a table with 4 chairs, an umbrella and a mat underneath. It ended up being little too cold for us to use the outdoor shower (cold water only), but she has a good shower setup on the deck. She did have a solar shower bag, but the overcast weather made heating the water difficult. The outhouse is in an ideal proximity to the barn. Sari had good, clear signage in the outhouse about the operation of the composting toilet. I would recommend the Bouquet Barn to anyone who is looking for cozy and affordable accommodations for a night or even longer.

2 nights at Masabaje Camp

I slept in Bedford and the mattress was super comfy and it was warm inside, despite a crazy windstorm. There was a power strip inside and cute string bulb lights for nighttime that plugged in. There was a lot of storage under the bed too. The spot was a little bit away from the other cabins giving it privacy, yet it was a quick walk to the bathroom and kitchen. It was super cool to have a fridge, stove, flush toilet, and showers. Delightful! The pond was cute but I didn't get to it much, too windy. The dogs were adorable and I fell in love with Pluto. Matt, the property manager, was awesome and very attentive. There was a group camping there too, and they were so generous and included me in all activities and meals! As a solo camper, it was a great experience. I would absolutely stay there again.

1 night at Secluded goat pasture and lake view

Sari and Rick were so lovely. We chatted while petting baby goats after arriving. The property was way high up, a beautiful view of the mountains and Lake Chelan. It was seriously incredible. The Bouquet Barn was cozy as hell, even getting down to 38 at night it was still so warm with the covers and very well insulated. The baby goats and other animals were so cute, and we got some petting in. They have two dogs, Rip and Moose and a little cat named Thomas. All so sweet! I kept leaving the barn to take in the view. Not just from the lake but behind the house, the rolling hills look like a painting. Rick and Sari, thank you for having us so early in the year! It was a much needed break from the city.
