It’s a truly peaceful outdoor getaway. As hosts, we typically greet our visitors at some point during their stay, though we are very happy to respect total privacy. We have a few other campsites, well-spaced apart, so you can expect to see other campers periodically throughout your stay in passing or in common areas such as the toilet. You will be able to enjoy privacy and all the serenity that the outdoors has to offer! There is cooking grate on the fire pit so you can cook up some delicious meals. We’d suggest bringing some camping chairs if you’re tent camping to enjoy your meals or your morning coffee, as we do not have a picnic table on site. You can also enjoy cozying up by the private campfire and toasting some marshmallows at sunset. We have potable well water for our campers as well as a shared double stall composting toilet for your comfort. The toilets are set up near the campsites for added convenience. 3 nights at Solar Trails Retreat

Wow. What a fantastic stay! Jason went out of his way to make sure we were all well cared for and comfortable! And he answered all messages within minutes, sometimes instantly! The access to the bathroom and kitchenette setup was perfect (a nice hot shower is a wonderful perk while camping)! Everything was clean - he even left some towels, soaps, and shampoos for us to use! Definitely adding this to my favorites list. We will surely return!

We enjoyed the beautiful weekend in Afton/C'Ville area. The site was perfect for our needs. Host provided good amenities (hot shower, coffee maker) and safe and quiet place to park and plug in our Camper van. Would recommend this place which is close to breweries on 151 and vineyards all over the area.

I stayed at campsite #3. Campsite had a picnic table and an area for a fire. The campsite is located about a 3/4 of mile from the main road. Very quiet and remote, perfect for camping. A small creek borders the back of the campsite and the sound of running water at night makes sleep come quickly. For anyone interested, I have Verizon and could make calls and receive texts, but don't expect to do any streaming. I would definitely use this campsite again.

Awesome, private , well kept campsite. We loved it. We had a large group (family) and there was plenty of room to spread out. Two campers 13' and 16' and two tents all on unique sites. No problems getting in or out. Russ is right, 16' is probably the max you can get down there. We hip camp a lot and Russ's spot has moved way up the list of favorites. Russ was great, very responsive and helpful. Thanks Russ. Just what we were were looking for.

This is a great spot. Very quiet. Close to a brewery and a wineries. I have stayed at Misty Mountains Campground that is a few miles away. I will skip the campground next time and stay with Jason again. I love the quiet, no drunk people or generators running. The private bathroom with a shower was perfect.

Dave's property is remote but easily accessible. The property sites are visible but well spaced apart. Both had electrical and water available. The road noise was noticeable but died off at night. The only thing we heard in the morning was the "clip clop" of the horse drawn buggies of local farmers. Dave was very friendly and knowledgably about the area and local history. The weather was beautiful, which made our stay that much better. We will definitely stay again and highly recommend.
