Located just minutes from Shenandoah National Park, we offer intimate nature-inspired cottages and camping on our 120-acre working farm. Three of our spots require walking away from your vehicle, short distances. We have four drive-in sites that will accommodate two or three vehicles. We do not allow RVs or trailers on our main farm due to our narrow mountain driveway. Wisteria Camp has a private driveway, it can accommodate small RV/Trailers. Camper vans are welcome at the main farm! Our farm store includes our Animal Welfare Approved products such as Eggs, Chicken, Beef, Pork, Lamb and Dairy, as well as produce, jams, coffee and other items from our local community. We offer camping essentials, local art, bike rentals, farm experiences and tours. The property has miles of trails along mountain spring-fed streams, a small pond and access to three private acres on the Robinson River, a stocked Trout stream, just 2 miles down the road. Our property is centrally located to White Oak Canyon (20 minutes) and Old Rag Mountain (10 minutes) trailheads in the Shenandoah National Park as well as many vineyards and breweries. From the flat land at the bottom to the top of the mountain, this is a place where you can find a spot to sit and think, draw, paint, nap, or identify over 30 medicinal plants in their natural habitats (absolutely NO harvesting of medicinals or wildflowers!). Listen to the many birds, spot the wildflowers. Some areas are accessible by wheelchair, while others are not, but all areas offer something to sustain your spirit. I stayed at Conus SKY Farm (now known as Camp Comus) multiple times in my RV. I love the farm animals, the Camp Hosts, the solitude, and the feel of the forest. 20, 30, and 50 amp electric, bathroom, and central water source is available. I will definitely be back next year.

We loved camping at the Harmon Homestead! Extremely quiet and relaxing. Friendly hosts that go the extra mile to make your stay amazing. When you go ask to meet the animals. They have goats, pigs, chickens, emu, and the friendliest pup who may come to say hello. Highly recommended.

Weekend Trip to Watercress Inn at Landon Farm
Perfect location for a family camping trip. Jen is a fantastic hostess with great communication ahead of time. In addition to camping, we got to help feed the animals both mornings and our kids were thrilled. Theres lots of room for them to run wild without worrying of bothering camping neighbors and the site had everything we needed.

Had a great time!! It is a very special property and Jennifer was kind to show us the animals and tell us more about the history. The little cabin was comfortable and had all the basic cooking items we needed as well as plenty of water for dishes/handwashing! We enjoyed a complimentary wine tasting at a nearby winery that Jennifer gave us, but overall just hung out at the property and enjoyed the peace and quiet. Also, the outhouse is difficult to see if you arrive at night, but it is there, just a few feet off the trail by the solar lights :)

Weekend Trip to Comus Sky Farm
My husband, myself, our kids and grandkids all met up at this amazing farm just overnight for a wonderful and rare campfire get together, but wished we had stayed longer. The grandkids loved all the animals but especially Zeus, the big, super sweet dog of the property! The expansive property accommodates RVs well with plenty of space to be private yet camp amongst the animals. Our camp host greeted us, got us set up with power, and told us all about the workings of the farm and all that was available to us on the property. These extras that you don’t normally get at most Hipcamp properties was really cool! A barn with a restroom and gathering area where chili was available the night we were there along with many homemade and local goodies like shortbread cookies, honey, dried lavender sachets and produce for purchase. We happily donated a small amount toward taking care of the rescued animals on the farm. A couple of our kids and their families live in the area so we will definitely be back! Thanks Juanita it was a pleasure!!

pretty property and great for our group! we rented both areas of the camping land, but we all camped at kitchen camp. be aware that cars cannot travel to the other camping area (with the gazebo), which makes loading and unloading more difficult. nice to have basic composting toilet available as well.

This was my very first Hip Camp, and my first time camping alone! Butterfly Camp was perfect. I felt very safe and I had everything I needed and more! I met Jen at the Farm Store and she was kind enough to take the time to share some info on the farm and Shenandoah. There are very easy trails throughout the land to explore if you want to stay around camp. And of course you’ve got primo access to Shenandoah trails! I’ll definitely recommend this spot to friends.
