Amazing location with panoramic views of the Vermont Green Mountain range, this property adjoins a public 9 hole golf course. Located on over 260 private and secluded acres, property also has a 2 acre pond for swimming, paddling or just relaxing.
There are several miles of maintained hiking trails meandering throughout the forest, ranging from an easy walk, to hilly and somewhat challenging. Many varieties of tent locations or places to park an RV, pop up, or car. This is considered a "Primitive camp site". There is no shower, toilet or electric available at this time, but well water can be had from our residence, via a hose spigot on the side of our home. This is our 3rd year of hosting, and due to the overwhelming popularity of having an abundance of privacy, we will continue to be only hosting one party at a time. Which means you'll get the privilege of not having to share your surroundings with anyone else! Your own private camp ground! We are hoping this all works out and intend to continuously improve amenities, activities and overall experience. We are excited to offer this amazing tipi camping experience on our working horse property. The tipi design is the basic Sioux design; the makers of our tipi were chosen to provide all the tipis for the movie Dances with Wolves because of their respect for authenticity and excellent craftsmanship.
The tipi is 18' W x 15' H. Inside, it is roughly 16' in diameter and 13'2" high. It has a 6' entrance with a zippered door and mosquito mesh. There is mosquito netting around the top smoke flaps and a critter guard mesh that covers the bottom circumference where the tipi and floor meet. To keep things warm on those chilly nights or take the edge off the crisp morning air, there is a small wood pellet stove inside.
There is a queen-size futon and plenty of space to sleep on the floor with your own sleeping bags or cots. The maximum occupancy is 6 people. The campsite setup is a mixture of Indigenous and Cowboy Western culture. It features a dining area close to the tipi with a picnic table.
You can relax at the fire pit area beside the Kampfire Cauldron (handmade on-site!) and enjoy cookouts, campfires, and great conversations with friends and family while listening to the calm waters of Giles Brook a few feet away.
Firewood is included in your stay. An outhouse is also located nearby, so you don’t have to entirely "rough it." Potable water can be provided if you do not bring your own.
Local activities include: hiking trails, parks, lakes, horseback rides, kayaking, fishing, motorsports, relaxing by the creek on-site, axe throwing, range, skiing/tubing, and so much more!

We are also almost within walking distance of Camel’s Hump State Park and the Long Trail. Our road along the Winooski River is close to I-89 and a 15 minute drive to Burlington or Lake Champlain. In the other direction, we are a 15 minute drive to Bolton Valley ski area or a 40 minute drive to Sugarbush/Mad River Glen or to Stowe. Some of the best rock climbing in the east is also right next door. In the summer Richmond has some awesome swimming holes.

Located in Vermont’ Green Mountains, we are right next to some great hiking, climbing, biking and boating. Challenging mountain bike trails are literally next door to both of these sites. We are also almost within walking distance of Camel’s Hump State Park and the Long Trail. Our road along the Winooski River is close to I-89 and a 15 minute drive to Burlington or Lake Champlain. In the other direction, we are a 15 minute drive to Bolton Valley ski area or a 40 minute drive to Sugarbush/Mad River Glen or to Stowe. Some of the best rock climbing in the east is also right next door. In the summer Richmond has some awesome swimming holes.
Our primitive high meadow tent spots at the top of our ridge offer you the feeling of being in the wilderness while still having close proximity to all of the other things Vermont has to offer.

If you're looking for a cozy winter glamping experience with silly alpacas, sweet cows, a welcoming cat and an adorable dog, look no further!
I had the best weekend staying in the pool house and relaxing with some books, embroidery, yoga and a big afternoon nap. I came back from my trip feeling rejuvenated and for that, I am so grateful!
Les and Jenny are delightful and I'm so grateful to them for sharing their retreat space!

The host accepted our last minute request on a holiday weekend! Great private spot in open field. Easy communications with host, family friendly and great for dogs. The river is a nice addition for the kids/dog. True to VT, it’s close to nothing, nearest coffee is 20 mins away. Great escape.

Stellar view and lots of privacy from this high field. Great place for a tent or camper van. We enjoyed the firepit, cute outhouse and outdoor shower. And trails to explore in the woods. Hosts were welcoming and the gift of fresh eggs was a bonus!

A beautiful well maintained campsite. Kathy and Tim were very friendly and helpful. The eggs they gave us on arrival were delicious and there was plenty of firewood for us to burn on the cold October nights. Everything was immaculate and clean, especially the out house with some luxury touches. All the extra details show how much they care about their guests camping experience. The property was fun to explore as well as visiting all the animals on the farm. Easy to explore the area from their place, loved the small town general stores and local creameries. Look forward to visiting in warmer weather.

Lovely, secluded campsite in the woods. Potable water and trash (plus recycling and compost) located at the barn, about 300 ft away. The provided firewood was excellent, kept dry underneath a tarp at the site. Picnic table and bench, as well as two Adirondack chairs, were a nice touch. The composting bucket toilet, located under a small permanent structure at the site, was very clean and did not smell at all.

We had a spectacular time at Coy Mountain Camp. Kathy and Tim were lovely and the site was amazing. Every little detail, from the provided firewood to the carton of eggs gifted on arrival, was so thoughtful and made the experience even better. We will definitely be back!!

We loved camping on Kathy and Tim’s land! This place was beautiful, peaceful, lots of privacy, and felt like heaven! So much open sky, being surrounded by the mountains and sounds of nature. The night sky was absolutely spectacular! Perfect for those who are into astrophotography. We felt so welcomed and the amenities were super thoughtful. 100% will be back, we cannot wait!

Had an amazing getaway from Boston at Peter’s property. The campsites were private and quiet and all amenities were as described. Each site had a fire ring, picnic table, and a charcoal grill. A clean stream runs along each site. There was enough water in the stream to float on a tube even during a recent drought. My partner and two dogs had a great time and can’t wait to be back. Highly recommended

My partner and I booked a camping trip at La Lu's Farm and we loved it. We were there in early October and the foliage around the property was beautiful. We stayed in one of the Yurts and it was super cozy. The goats were super friendly too! Also, I really appreciate how responsive Constancia was to all of our questions!

Evan’s place was awesome! He was super nice and accommodating. The best part has to be the view. The camp spot is in a nice grass clearing, right above a beautiful field of wild flowers. The view of the mountains is amazing, and the stars even better at night! Dark sky area for sure. His friendly dog Reggie also came and checked on us a time or two and our older lab loved running around with him. I will say it can be a bit windy (You’re in the mountains), but not a deal breaker at all, just be prepared. 10/10 recommend if your looking for peace and quiet with too notch views!
