 Our secluded primitive tent camping sites are for you. Includes tent pad, fire ring, access to Community Kitchen & our Shower Haus (aka bathrooms & showers). 14-day maximum per month.

-Ridge Site-

Maybe you'd like to get back to nature in style?

 Enjoy our Ridge Site with Cargo Tent - complete with a fire ring, table and chairs, and swings. This site does not include a bed. 

-THE BUNKHAUS-

Looking to get back to nature with all the creature comforts? Check out our Bunkhaus that sleeps 4, including a queen size bed and a set of bunk beds. The Bunkhaus has electricity,

 A/C and Wifi.

Laf ranch



1100 acres of gorgeous natural land at the headwaters of the Medina River. Crystal clear and clean spring feed water. Fourth-generation family owners. Remote camping. Very private with plenty of varied terrain for hiking swimming, tubing, biking or just hanging out in a hammock enjoying the breeze and peace and quiet. 

About 2 miles as a crow flies from Lost Maples State Park. You drive through a 13,000-acre ranch to get to us. We are at the end of a dead-end road with one way in and one way out. 

NO FISHING

As our topo map shows we have a wide variety of terrain ranging from steep cliffs with huge views to shady canyons. The river cuts through the middle of the place and is surrounded by four hills that each have their unique characteristics ranging from flat oak-covered to rocky steep ridges. I guarantee you will find beauty all around.

We do have a couple of fun areas to try your 4-wheel drive out. Please dont make your own....stay on trails.

There are plenty of places to swim. When the Ladder is reserved, you may not swim there. Please be respectful.

We have 1.5  miles of both sides of the river so plenty of places to swim. It varies a lot in depth and width over the ranch.

Every camp spot has access to all the swimming holes except the ladder when it is booked. The main swimming holes are--

1. Below the Green Cabin

2. Another my brother likes that has a cypress tree submerged you can sit on he calls the 1000 waterfalls

3.  big pond

Utopia Oaks RV park was opened in 2021. It's an incredibly clean, peaceful and serene park. It is located in the beautiful hill country, right outside of Utopia, Tx. We offer a quiet park with inspiring scenery and wildlife in every direction.  Amenities are still being completed, but we have great wifi, a bathroom, and large spaces. We welcome you to come enjoy complete seclusion in the hills of Utopia. Come for a week or stay for a lifetime!

Camp Cold Springs

Camp Cold Springs is a newly renovated RV park situated on 14 acres along the Frio river with approximately 450 feet of Frio river frontage. Located 2 miles north of Garner State Park at 1101 Cold Spring Ranch Rd Concan, TX, we offer 50 full hookup RV sites with 30 and 50-amp connections available at every site. We have pull-through and back-in sites that either live in the shade or soak up the sun. There are two private river access points on the property for guests that lead you down to the cool, refreshing, gorgeous Frio River. Alongside the river, you will notice our spring-fed pond where many of our junior campers enjoy fishing. The river frontage at Camp Cold Springs is perfect for all ages with easy access walking down to the river. We have a large, generally flat, shallow area that is great for little ones to roam around or guests that enjoy lounging in the refreshing Frio waters. The rock island is enjoyed by our more adventurous guests that like to take an aerial approach into the river, while on the southern part of our river, guests enjoy the 2-4 foot deep swimming areas of the river. Camp Cold Springs is pet-friendly and has amenities such as a bathhouse, an office with a store, a basketball court, a volleyball court, and other lawn games.

Rio Frio RV Park & Campground

A family owned and operated 15 acre campground park with full hook up RV sites, along the Frio River, 5 mins from Garner State Park in Rio Frio, Texas, with direct river access on both sides of the crystal clear spring-fed running waters at this magical swimming hole with a picturesque bend that has served as campgrounds for many families since the 1960's that camp, fish, kayak, and tube to Happy Hollow and Garner State Park. The property is lined with massive cypress trees, a pecan grove, vast amounts of wildlife, and amazing starry nights perfect for stargazing, camping, swimming, fishing, kayaking, hiking, tubing, and campfires. Choose from 9 RV spots, 25 tent camping sites with electricity, 50 primitive camping sites, van/car camping sites, many boondocking sites, 3 extra special primitive river side sites, and soon to come glamping sites.

Located on Ranch Road 1120, 5 minutes north of Garner State Park our property is the public access point for tubers and kayakers to jump in and float to Happy Hollow, Garner State Park, Neal's or Andy's. Rio Frio is 10 minutes south of Leakey and 10 minutes north of Concan away from lights and lots of noise. We have firewood available at discounted rates for larger bundles than stores. We please ask that you respect all wildlife as we are in process of becoming a monarch sanctuary. There are many types of birds, butterflies, axis and whitetail deer, wild turkeys, rabbits, armadillos, and fish. No hunting and please have your fishing license.
