Our tent and sleeping gear is the only thing we had to bring - everything else is so nicely set up.

Small 15 acre ranch in central Texas, 45 min north west of Austin.  Tent camping, and Rv that self supporting.  There a pond, when it rains,  we have horses and chickens, small wooded area. Tucked away near Colorado Bend State Park, you will find our off-the-grid ranch. Small 15-acre ranch in central Texas, 45 min northwest of Austin you will find our humble oasis that is home to not only our family but too small chickens and horses. You will still have a fairly private site but don't be surprised if you hear animals and other campers. Relax on the patio or by the fire pit with the family while you stare up at the stars. Fish at one of the three rivers within a 5-mile radius.
About the Listing 
Take your pick from our many grills to cook some great camping classics while you camp under the stars. You will have access to 2 restrooms and a shower so you can relax, recharge and enjoy this off-the-grid site.  Some great activities we offer are yoga and art supplies for crafting.
We provide art supplies upon request. 
A firepit is also available to snuggle up to during the cooler nights. 
We do offer WIFI but encourage our guests to connect with nature.

We are an old Texas General Store near Colorado Bend State Park.
 We have a funky laid-back vibe.
 Folks out here are nice.
 We have amazing food and many famous music artists play here.
 After they play it is quiet and peaceful out here.
We also have a store with basic groceries.  
Our food has been featured in many media outlets.

Close to Austin and Fredericksburg. North of Enchanted Rock and on the way to Big Bend. Private camp site with exclusive bathroom, shade and electricity right on the river. No need to drive to the river, you are at the river. Perfect for families and couples seeking a fun, easy, socially distant retreat on a quiet country road. Adventure awaits.

Terrific birding and wildlife viewing all year with an ever-changing array of critters. When it is warm, your children will see tadpoles during the day and go to sleep to the sound of hundreds of frogs. In fall and winter the riverbed is a superhighway for deer, foxes, and flocks of migratory geese and other birds.

Valentine Lakeside RV/Cabins/Camp

Valentine is a vintage lakeside property with RV spots and Teeny Houses listed here.  Camping is allowed in the RV park, and sometimes on the Hillside RV spots. On-site rentals of kayaks, canoe and swim mats. Fishing pier. Pool. In-lake swimming. Bring your boat or personal watercraft and rent a boatslip for easy on and off the water.

We also rent cabins, suites, and houses.

Valentine Lakeside is on 5 acres of tree-studded shoreline of Lake LBJ in Kingsland, a town with shops, restaurants and music venues.

Please note our calendar does not sync with HipCamp, so "availability" isn't accurate. WHEN YOU INQUIRE, please let us know if you are tent camping, or what size RV you're bringing if any.  We work hard to respond to booking requests very quickly!

Comanche Oaks Ranch

Learn more about this land:Hipcampers can expect to see one of the darkest skies in Central Texas, located far enough away from Austin and Dallas light pollution to clearly see the Milky Way on a cloudless night. Drive carefully on the dirt roads leading to the ranch; as deer are plentiful all around the property.  Wildlife viewing is exceptional, with a wide range of animals typical of the rolling hills of Central Texas Hillcountry. The property has patches of open meadows speckled with hundreds of large, beautiful heritage trees including Live Oaks, Red Oaks, Cedar Elms, and Pecans. There are two small ponds on the property, with plenty of frogs and typical aquatic species providing a natural soundscape at night.  Feel free to explore the site on foot or vehicles, but please keep vehicles only on existing dirt roads (no off-roading allowed). Feel free to use the RV hookup at the green metal building, and enjoy the stunning sunset views of the Texas Hillcountry from the elevated wooden deck connected to the building. The large propane grill (propane provided) on the wooden deck is also available for camper use. Campers can make a campfire in the designated fire pit only,  and you must bring your own firewood.  Campers may use the outdoor shower station, but you must bring your own water and mobile shower bag to hang from the hook at the top of the shower station.
