Tucked away near Colorado Bend State Park, you will find our off-the-grid ranch. Small 15-acre ranch in central Texas, 45 min northwest of Austin you will find our humble oasis that is home to not only our family but too small chickens and horses. You will still have a fairly private site but don't be surprised if you hear animals and other campers. Relax on the patio or by the fire pit with the family while you stare up at the stars. Fish at one of the three rivers within a 5-mile radius.

Take your pick from our many grills to cook some great camping classics while you camp under the stars. You will have access to 2 restrooms and a shower so you can relax, recharge and enjoy this off-the-grid site.&nbsp; Some great activities we offer are yoga and art supplies for crafting.

A firepit is also available to snuggle up to during the cooler nights.&nbsp;
We do offer WIFI but encourage our guests to connect with nature.&nbsp;

Valentine Lakeside RV Camp & Lodge

Valentine is a vintage lakeside property with RV spots and Teeny Houses listed here.  On-site use of kayaks, canoe and swim mats, pool. At the lake, you can swim or fish or just hang out. Bring your boat or personal watercraft and rent a boatslip for easy on and off the water.

We also rent studio cabins, suites, and houses directly.

Valentine Lakeside is on 5 acres of tree-studded shoreline of Lake LBJ in Kingsland, a town with shops, restaurants and music venues.

Comanche Oaks Ranch

Learn more about this land:Hipcampers can expect to see one of the darkest skies in Central Texas, located far enough away from Austin and Dallas light pollution to clearly see the Milky Way on a cloudless night. Drive carefully on the dirt roads leading to the ranch; as deer are plentiful all around the property.  Wildlife viewing is exceptional, with a wide range of animals typical of the rolling hills of Central Texas Hillcountry. The property has patches of open meadows speckled with hundreds of large, beautiful heritage trees including Live Oaks, Red Oaks, Cedar Elms, and Pecans. There are two small ponds on the property, with plenty of frogs and typical aquatic species providing a natural soundscape at night.  Feel free to explore the site on foot or vehicles, but please keep vehicles only on existing dirt roads (no off-roading allowed). Feel free to use the RV hookup at the green metal building, and enjoy the stunning sunset views of the Texas Hillcountry from the elevated wooden deck connected to the building. The large propane grill (propane provided) on the wooden deck is also available for camper use. Campers can make a campfire in the designated fire pit only,  and you must bring your own firewood.  Campers may use the outdoor shower station, but you must bring your own water and mobile shower bag to hang from the hook at the top of the shower station.

(YES RATTLERS and COPPERHEADS - April - November).&nbsp;

With 10 potential sites to choose from, campers select preferred camping spot desire based on availability.  Each campsite is unique. Hilltop location requires 4x4 transportation. For all campsites, there are rocks and brush located thru out the property, caution required driving low clearance vehicles. We are not responsible for car or tire damage - so proceed with caution and stay on designated paths.&nbsp;

GREAT FOR A VARIETY OF LARGE PARTIES - inquire with the host. 

Absolutely NO HUNTING ALLOWED. We feed the deer. And the Longhorns! If you'd like to feed them too we can leave a bag of deer corn or cow cubes and you can feed them as well. Hand feeding the Longhorns is a true experience. 

The property is been completely fenced. Please close and secure gate after entering and exiting with the lock provided.&nbsp; Code provided before arrival. There is a manual gate and a automatic gate you will be given the code for both.
