In the past, before I listed this property for camping, travelers would stop and ask to camp on my land.
There are not many options for camping on this stretch of Hwy so I decided to offer up my place.
So far guest have either loved it or hated it.

This is a very nice and safe place to stay. Nothing to do in town but if you are on the road and need a place to stop and rest this is a safe comfortable place to be. Very quiet with no light noise just you and the stars. This is our second time staying here and our go to on the road as we cross the country. We highly recommend it.

It is basically a dirt field with a rustic fire pit and 30/50 amps plus hoses for water. The price was right and the area is very remote so we were thrilled to find Sheffield Camp. The sky was lit with a full moon with no light pollution. We felt very safe and the sheriff drove by a few times. We didn’t see another soul and no other traffic. Thank you!

i went camping with my 30 amp rv for two nights and it was amazing to stay at a campground with not many nearby. not much to do nearby but it’s still a great place truly . we met a couple friends of the guy who owns it and they were so nice!! i totally recommend if you are trying to get away from normal crowded campgrounds and just want a quiet getaway!

This camping spot is always a great place to stay when I’m traveling between AZ and TX for disc golf and work. It’s beautiful, reliable, peaceful, and welcoming. James is extremely communicative and accommodating, which makes the stay even better and stress-free. The night skies here are pretty unbelievable—some of the most gorgeous stars you’ll ever see. I highly recommend staying here and will definitely continue to stop whenever I’m passing through.

I have a camper shell on my pickup truck that I use for camping on public land out west. However, in Texas regular RV parks and camp sites often have rules against people sleeping in their vehicles. This place was a perfect pit stop along I-10 for my setup! Wish there were more places like this. For people used to self contained camping this place is perfect
