Our homestead is a few acres in East Texas, near Hawkins. The land has been untouched for about 30 years, maybe last used for cattle grazing. We're keeping the property as natural as possible, we live here off-grid and off-pipe. There’s a 17 acre lake that we share with neighbors. It’s full of bass, bluegill, crappie and catfish, we encourage catch and keep fishing since the lake could use a little fishing pressure. We also have a beaver pond, and resident beaver. The entire water lily plant is edible, did you know? Swim, hang out, cool down on the small swimming dock. Canoe and kayak included! Weekend Trip to South Tyler RV Park

Location is easy to get in and out, and it is close to the main road through the town. The grounds are well kept and it was quiet. Site 38 was not level, but I was only there one night, and I chose to be along the back fence. They have larger, pull through spots that are more level in the middle row. Sites are gravel with full hookups. I only used electric and the post looked new and was clean. (no spider webs) They have a nice, clean laundry with clean newer looking machines, which was great since I needed to do laundry. They do not have a bathhouse or restrooms. It was a great spot to stay overnight and I was able to book the same day so it really helped me on my travels.

Weekend Trip to Antique Capital RV Park

It was a very clean park with a few wonderful large bathhouses and a pool, …mostly long term RVers, but everyone I encountered was very pleasant, I would stay again to do laundry and swim!
