This is a great property with a lot of potential for adventure. You can burn almost everything around responsibly. There is a lot of firewood. Right now there are no bathrooms or facilities of any kind except for a small goat shed. there is a ton of scrap metal and random random things in a pile great for digging and scrapping in all free. Finders keepers.
There are some really old giant trees on the property. One is probably the largest tree I have ever seen in Collin County. There is a seasonal creek that runs through the back and sort of a swappy pond in the front.
The Prairie in the front is some sort of different grass than usual. It might be native buffalo grass or something else weird like that.
The property needs a lot of cleanup, so I would make a good to work campers or groups wanting a working party. The land could use some work, I could contribute a lot of free beer and food to people cleaning up the place before I build my house.

A really wonderful place. We met Jamie and her father-in-law, and were able to help feed the horses. The trails down to the lake are very well kept; even with a large 2-person fishing kayak we were able to get down to the water easily with a kayak cart. This is not on the busy end of the lake. We kayaked and fished for 3 hours and saw only one other boat (although it was a very windy day) so peace and quiet was constant. You can't find places like this on a lake without having other campsites right next to you, and Jamie is an absolutely outstanding host who was eager to help with anything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. We will certainly keep this site bookmarked.

Lovely private camp site with direct access to lake trails! The host was very nice and accommodating! It was storming the night we arrived and they let us park our van in their large insulated shop.
Our dogs also loved running around the big open field and exploring the lake trails.
Definitely recommend staying here and we hope to be back again soon!

It was a great spot for tent camping if you want privacy. I could have my dog off leash. They also have a great fire pit plus trails going down to a lake and around the property. Great communication for the very nice owner.

My son and grandson loved tent camping at this beautiful, private, and peaceful place. Campsites are widely spaced so there's no noisy neighbors right beside you, or humming generators all night.

This is our second time coming here and we are convinced this is our new recurring spot. Rick's land is so peaceful and full of beautiful camping spots that we're excited to keep exploring. Rick is always so attentive, helpful and so sweet to us, making our stay extra special. The horses and donkeys are a dream and makes the experience even more magical. I loved fishing on Susan’s land. Beautiful day in late December, caught lots of fish. Spend the day kayaking around looking for the ultimate big bass. Finally, caught the big one right before I packed up. My two dogs had the best time running and swimming for hours. I was able to meet Susan and her husband, super nice people. I would highly recommend this place.

I loved the dispersed tent camping area, a perfect place for my dog to run around and I could see how it’d be easy for a large group! And the flexibility of being able to go to the tasting room up the hill to grab a wine bottle or two cannot be overstated. Very nice, would recommend.

My family and I had a great time! Rick was a perfect host. We mentioned wanting to do some fishing, so he put us near the pond. We were able to catch some decent-sized largemouth bass and bluegill. At our camp, we were visited by many of the animals roaming around. Willie and Doc really enjoyed hanging around our camp.

We loved this spot! My dog is older now so it was really nice to have him be able to run around in a big field with soft grass. I put his booties on when we walked through the trails. The lake is gorgeous and peaceful, the woods are fun to explore, and the campsite is clean and private. Jamie was so welcoming. We will definitely be back here.
