Weekend Trip to Bolivar Suntastic

We love staying at Suntastic! The gated yard is such a pleasure. Our pup can have free run of the place and not have to be on a leash. We utilized the picnic table to play games and enjoyed the fire pit. We will be back!

Weekend Trip to Bolivar Peninsula RV Park

Beautiful park. Lovely host and fellow campers. How amazing to experience the Crystal Beach scene- you can walk! There are three options for dining even closer!! Everything tip top - electric, water, bath house etc plus the grounds are very ample - nicely mowed grass and one or two small healthy trees per site. A wonderful vibe.

5 nights at Bolivar Suntastic

This was our second visit to Bolivar Suntastic. It was awesome! Jennifer was great once again and helpful when I needed advice on a local tire shop for the RV. All in all we had a nice quiet week and look forward to returning again soon. PS... I brought a 10 ft extension for the 30 ft. 50 amp power cable and it made things much easier this time.

1 night at Magnolia Gardens Park

It was a little confusing as there was no designated Campspot. Just a lot of picnic tables. So we parked near one and set up camp with our RV for the night. We loved how private it was and quiet it was. Now that I understand how it works. I would definitely go back again.

It was the perfect camp set up. A hill overlooking the river and nobody crowding your site. The Managers were sincere and friendly. Maria brought fresh coffee at 7 am and hung out with us. Real good people. Loved everything about it! Definitely coming back!

Weekend Trip to Bolivar Suntastic

We really enjoyed Jennifer's property. Having the fenced in yard made camping with our pup a pleasure. We were sure to pick up after him so the next guest would have a clean yard just as we did. The whole place is very neat and tidy. The camp is on a beach access road which was a popular thourofare, but the fence made me feel safe and more comfortable with the traffic. The outdoor shower was great for rinsing off the beach sand! The new firepit is a great addition. No one in town was selling firewood so we will bring some with us next time. Love the easy access to the large Ace Hardware/ grocery store down the road. Great for picking up things you forgot like food, bug spray or sunscreen.

8 nights at Hazel Park

We camped for a week in our Argosy Airstream. The road is paved right up to the campground. It was peaceful, quiet and nestled among the trees. We camped during Christmastime and visited with family and friends during the holidays. There is a train close by but it wasn’t too loud or often. We would camp there again!

Another amazing trip to Suntastic.... it was cold, rainy but had an amazing time... a short walk to beach, fenced yard for the pups to run off leash. The host is amazing and had it all set up and inviting for us and she helped us set up a great last minute Christmas trip. She is always available for questions and very accomadating Thanks again. We will definitely be back soon

Nice place along a beautiful the river. Not a lot of other folks here in December so you have your choice of camping spots. Bring bug repellant. Two things to note, the gates are closed from 7pm - 7am. I believe you can make arrangements for later arrival but I would do so well before arriving. Also, there are a few off leash dogs that seem to be full-timers. They keep to themselves for the most part but consider this if you have your own pets with you.

One septic hookup is available No toilet is available there yet. There is a septic dump. Adjacent to this area is a private pond for fishing. Off road vehicles are welcome. Lake Conroe is located about 6 miles west. The Sam Houston National Forest entrance is about 18 miles north. Beyond the national forest is Huntsville and Sam Houston State University 24 miles. To the East is Lake Livingston 35 miles and a continuation of the national forest. To the south are the cities of Conroe, The Woodlands, Spring, and Houston. Downtown Houston is about 49 miles away.

The top is transparent, so you can fall asleep wishing on a star. This dome is anchored to a sturdy wooden deck. There is a retractable awning that covers each dome reducing the green-house effect during the daytime and can be opened to reveal the beautiful skyline during the day or the wonderous starlit sky at night. Inside you’ll find a cozy king bed and a trundle that can comfortably sleep up to four guests. There is air conditioning and heating inside as well as a full private bathroom. The bathroom even has a clawfoot tub! Toiletries are provided for you during your stay. The dome is located in Sam Houston National Forest on a beautiful ranchette of almost 8 acres. On the ranchette you’ll be able to see chickens, turkeys (seasonal), goats, pigs, rabbits, and a garden near the home as well as livestock grazing in the pastures. Wildlife is present in the forest, so there are some food restrictions inside the dome to keep you safe. (See “rules to keep in mind”) A pathway that is clear during the day and perfectly lit for your convenience at night takes you directly to a fully equipped outdoor kitchen. There, you will have access to a BBQ pit, an outdoor pavilion, pool, hot tub, and pool house. If you’d like to have some fun, games like corn hole, oversized connect-four, chess, checkers, tic-tac-toe, hop-scotch, water volleyball, and horseshoes for you to enjoy. If you’d like to relax, kick back in a hammock and take a nap in the fresh breeze. The fire pit is open to all guests! Feel free to make s’mores, hot dogs, burgers, or whatever you’d like! Campfires are the perfect way to end any summer day.
