Weekend Trip to Indian Blanket Ranch - Utopia Texas

This is an amazing find and a great weekend getaway! It was my favorite HipCamp find so far. The cabin is very secluded and quiet. The nature trails are beautiful and very well maintained. Leann was very responsive to messages and a great host. There is a gate around the cabin to keep your fur babies close. We had clear skies and enjoyed star gazing in the hot tub. I can’t wait to return!

My family and I LOVED staying here with our pups! It was the perfect way to get some non-campers into relaxing in the outdoors! The beds were comfortable, the interiors were simple but absolutely stunning, and our surroundings were so peaceful. I found myself wanting to wake up before sunrise every day :) My dogs have been all over the country with me, but this is definitely one of my favorite stays with them. Getting an additional golf cart was also a very convenient addition to easily get around property! ALSO It turns out Outdoorsy has two more locations in Colorado and outside of Yosemite--so I may look into trips there as well!

Surrounded by scrub brush and with our container workshop as a privacy wall you will enjoy the feeling of having your own space as you enjoy some relaxation around a camp fire or in the hammock. Nestled in the Texas Hill Country is A Peace of Heaven. Come relax, swim, bird watch, hike, play volleyball, ping pong, build a fire and roast marshmallows. We offer catch-and-release fishing in our springs or go horseback riding nearby. Enjoy tubing down the Frio River in Concan. and don't forget to catch the Frio Bat Flight. We have 3 fully equipped log cabins that sleep up to 7 persons each. 2 separate bedrooms & a day bed in the living room. Full kitchens with a stovetop, oven, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker & coffee beans, and grinder. All dishes, cooking utensils, linens, and towels for bathing are supplied. All cabins have AC and Heat 3 10 x 12 luxury tents sitting on a 10 x 20 deck with a queen size bed, linens, wood stove, 2 Androick chairs, grill/firepit, 2 rocking chairs, picnic table with storage and food prep area, pots & pans, dishes, utensils, collapsible sink, campfire coffee pot, chemical toilet, solar shower, solar-powered charging port, water cooler, garbage can, first aide kit, clothesline, and fire extinguisher. Heavily wooded acreage with goats, horses and donkeys. There is no light pollution and if there are no clouds you can see the stars very clearly. We have a ton of wild birds. Owls and Cara Cara are common. There are deer, feral hog and two resident packs of coyote. We also have ring tail cats, which are nocturnal and rare. The best seasons are October 1st thru the end of April. It gets VERY hot and dry in the summer and can just be miserable. We have a shared bathroom and an outdoor shower and tub. If you are a single woman or a family with children, we don't take other bookings while you are visiting the farm. You will have the place to yourselves. The only exception being my family and I, if we are working or staying over at the farm. We should have a second bunkhouse up and running by fall of 2025. If you are tent camping, you may camp anywhere on the property but there are certain spaces that may make curious horses your roomies.
