This was mine and my husband’s second time visiting the Seco Ridge Campgrounds. This year we stayed in the Bunkhaus. Our best friend and my cousin also joined us for the adventure. The Bunkhaus is nothing short of incredible. It’s more of a tiny home with an awesome patio area with fun lighting, games, and luxury lounging. A HUGE storm came in while we were there and the Haus had no leaks, nothing like that- it is a true experience. The interior is gorgeous with drywall and recess lighting. The bed was incredibly comfy. Owners Woody and Elaine were so very accommodating and kind. They got us fresh firewood and even fresh eggs from the ground’s chickens! In the Haus, there’s a microwave and large mini fridge for snacks and the grounds have a communal fire pit, swings, outdoor kitchen, running water, hot showers and toilets- I have to wear orthodics temporarily which makes it difficult for me to walk and Woody and Elaine set up a chemical toilet right outside the door of the Haus for me. INCREDIBLY accommodating. The Seco Ridge campground itself is the only place I have ever seen the Milky Way with the naked eye. I do astronomy photography and I was able to take some incredible photos. My family and I sang karaoke outside up to quiet hours time at 11, and had an overall BLAST! The Haus is air conditioned, heated, and has just the quaintest and most fun ambiance. It is a pleasure every year and we can’t wait to come back again soon! Weekend Trip to Get Your Frio On
Although my kids and I were only there for one evening and one day, we had an excellent experience. The hosts were extremely friendly and accommodating, even though our schedule for arrival changed quite a bit, and we arrived late. The cabin was clean and well stacked with the usual supplies. We would definitely returned.

What a great setup! We stayed at Bunkhaus, was super comfortable. Vicinity to Garner state park is perfect for hiking. Brought the whole family, 3 boys and dog and everyone had a good time. Highly recommend and we will be back!

Quiet, peaceful, and surrounded by the splendor of Texas Hill Country. My kids particularly loved the volleyball and tetherball. We also loved the mini-pool provided right in front of our cabin. Very clean facilities, and the owners couldn't be nicer. Highly recommend!

Weekend Trip to Get Your Frio On
We love everything about this campground. Hosts were amazing and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect; very good people. Grounds and cabins are well kept. We even opted to stay a day in our little pool right out our cabin door instead of the Frio, it’s that peaceful! Definitely recommend to anyone!

Seco Ridge is a great place to stay for a nice hill country get away. The location is private, quiet, and well maintained. AND it’s pet friendly! Woody is a great host and a great singer as well! We’ll definitely be back!

The Bunkhouse was fantastic! What a relaxing getaway. Conveniently located near Garner State Park. Facilities were clean and well-tended. My daughters (8 & 11) had a great time exploring the campground and reading in the hammocks. The outdoor kitchen was perfect for our daily meal prep. I got to sample a delicious Witbier brewed on-site by the owner - thanks Woody! We will be back!

The Bunkhaus and property exceeded our expectations! Loved having all the creature comforts of the bunkhaus (comfy beds, AC/heat, electricity, mini fridge and coffee maker) while nestled in the tranquil outdoorsy campsite. Home brewery is open on the weekends by the owner right next door- delish drinks and wonderful company (but closes by 6pm so noise is never an issue). We scoped out the other tent campsites on property and they look great too, esp with the common area amenities (outdoor kitchen, shady picnic tables, and very clean bathroom/shower!). We can’t wait to return with a larger group of friends and family! Very kid friendly as well- we had two toddlers in tow with us and they had a blast.
