The previous owner had plans to turn our property into a 42 site row by row RV Park. Once we saw the beauty of the property, we knew we had to keep it as wild and pristine as possible. On 6.5 acres the perfect number of sites was 18 keeping the large house for short-term rental (coming soon.)

Buck Acres is technically not even an RV park, we just want to share our property with fellow travelers so we added some gravel roads. The only amenities are a Wi-Fi, 50/30/20A plug-ins, a porta-john and water.

"Close to everything, away from it all"

We're in the country but close to city amenities and beautiful Lake Conroe. It's only a few minutes from April Sound and the largest marina on Lake Conroe, 8 minutes to Wal-Mart and Kroger, yet it's peaceful and quiet on our forested property. 

As full-time RV nomads ourselves we know RV park rates are getting crazy, Buck Acres is our attempt to help the community. We've done everything we can to keep rates down. The only amenities we offer are shade, Wi-Fi, electricity, water, and an ADA porta john that is cleaned every week. 

Affordable RV parks shouldn't be sweltering parking lots where you're packed in like sardines! At Buck Acres we have 100' tall hardwoods and pines that have been trimmed up 60' for the safety of you and your rig!

Buck Acres is still under construction and it is a labor of love. All proceeds go immediately back into the park.

Natura Wellness Retreat

Our property

Just 40 mins from downtown Houston and 20 mins from The Woodlands, Natura Wellness Retreat is a 25-acre wildlife preserve that offers three glamping tents. There is catch-and-release fishing at our stocked pond.(no license required). The retreat has trails for hiking and flat areas to enjoy outdoor yoga. The pergola on the pond offers a place for serene meditation or enjoying a cold beer.

Far enough away from the hustle and bustle to feel totally secluded, but within a quick drive to supermarkets, restaurants, and movie theaters. Enjoy the peace of nature in the vicinity of the 4th largest city in America.

Outpost 203 - Camp & Glamp

Bring your friends and family and hide away at Outpost 203 - Camp & Glamp!  You are entering a stress free, tree-filled zone...

Wooded glampground in Plantersville, TX.  Fully furnished glamping canvas bell tents, with premier tents on platforms with electric (and Kuerig coffee pots and coffee!).  Sleep 2 - 10 comfortably, depending on the size tent.  Tents range in size from 10 - 20 feet.  Glamping vintage trailers are available too, and are also fully furnished with electric.  The fully renovated vintage trailers sleep 2-3 people each.  Or bring your own small to mid-size RV, tent, or car/truck/van and pick a cool cleared or primitive site of your choice.  Several new electric 30 Amp hookup sites now available.  Courtyard cabins will be ready and listed soon!  

The camp is surrounded by farms and ranches, wineries offering music options (one is dog friendly!), and is next to a strawberry and pumpkin picking farm with a trophy fishing  (you must reserve and pay for fishing separately with them please...).  Fishing is also available 20 minutes east at Lake Conroe.  

Amenities include a cowboy pool (summertime), courtyard seating and camp fire pit, hot showers, bathrooms (currently port-a-potties), fiber wifi, electric access on office front porch to charge phones, and a potable water/filling station.  

We are in the customer service business, meaning we make it easy to camp (and celebrate!) with our beautiful 4-season canvas glamp tents and glamp vintage trailers.  Just drive up to your tent and get ready to relax.  All tents are fully furnished with made beds and critical supplies, and have picnic tables, chairs around the fire rings, firewood, and charcoal grills.  Our premier platform tents also have electric, A/C and heat, hammocks, Keurig coffee pots, coffee and more!  Vintage trailers have everything you need as well inside and out.  Reservations are available on both Hipcamp and Airbnb.  And be sure to ask about shuttle rides and celebration decorations!

The creation of Outpost Glamping, rustic glamping getaways within 1 hour of the largest metro areas in the US is in progress at Outpost 203.  Now get ready to relax in nature!

Owners Bob and Dana both grew up moving all over the country, and as adults with a family continued that trend from OH to MN, CA, back to OH and then to TX. (Why not? Life is an adventure!) Lake Livingston is a large 23+ mile lake. We bought the property in 2014 and did upgrades on weekends, love the views, fishing, campfires, and meeting people so we opened the first cabin in April of 2018, now have 5 cabins and 9 rv sites and welcome you to enjoy the lake as much as we do. Every season of the year is a little different and all are wonderful!  We are in nature, and across street from wetlands, yet only 2 miles from city grocery store and restaurants! We have a 5 acre homestead/hobby farm that is nestled in the Sam Houston National Forest.  We are off the beaten path with beautiful views, peace and quiet and farm animals!  We have goats, donkeys, rabbits, a miniature cow, a miniature horse, ducks and chickens roaming our property.  We just had a new addition Colt who was born on our property March 12th.  He is our precious little donkey.   

We are a semi primitive camping spot. Come and enjoy getting away from the city without going too far.  Enjoy the beautiful star filled sky.  Feed the animals at 9am and love on them all day. Hilleetla

This beautiful property with big rolling hills, big trees, spring water, creeks and lakes lies deep within the Big Thicket, behind the Pine Curtain. Originally a dairy farm, with the old barn and milk bottles intact, then a miniature pony farm with a miniature stable to match, and later a vacation home for some quasi-urbanites. Now our home, our muse, and our place of refuge. A place to share with friends and family and those seeking an authentic experience here, on the ground. A working farm, a plant nursery, a garden, our forest farm, and our center for creativity, love, life and design. Hidalgo Falls Hideaway

The 13-acre park at Hidalgo Falls is owned by the Texas Rivers Protection Association. It is located on the Brazos River about eight miles from Navasota.TRPA ownership of this property guarantees access to this popular and unique river resource. For whitewater paddlers, it offers a class II rapid with numerous surfing waves, holes, eddy lines and play spots. For flatwater paddlers, it provides a convenient and secure access point for float trips along a very historic stretch of the Brazos as well as a place to learn swiftwater techniques and rescue skills. In the four miles downstream from the rapid archaeologists have unearthed mastodon bones from the riverbank, and the remains of  an early 20th century lock and dam system still loom large in the river. All of this is just upstream from Washington on the Brazos State Park, birthplace of the republic of Texas. Stephen F. Austin is said to have crossed the river often at Hidalgo Falls. It is also said that you could tell if you had a knowledgeable riverboat captain if he could get his boat upstream of the rapid and back down before the river level dropped stranding the boat upriver near Millican or Port Sullivan.The fast moving water and play features of the rapid are rarities in this part of the state. During the year volunteer fire departments in the region use the falls for training firefighters in swiftwater rescue.A 2 mile hike and bike trail are being worked on now and will soon open. Volunteers are always welcome!
