This is our family farm, though you probably will not see us much. The campsite is located on a corner of the property on Cummins Creek and once you get there you will feel secluded in nature. Matt grew up here swimming, fishing and exploring in this creek...the creek has taught him more about life than anyone ever could. This cedar cabin was built in the late 1950's and was the first building in Birch Creek Subdivision and was used as the real estate office when selling land for Subdivision. Joy Moore bought this fixer-upper in 1986 when the oilfield went under, at a youngster in her early twenties and has owned ever since. Lake Somerville is known for the best fishing lake in Texas. My daughter and I rented The Happy Place for a few nights and it couldn't have been more perfect. Everything was set up so nicely in the glamping tent and the location was private, wooded and very quiet. Dana was very courteous and helpful and I'd highly recommend staying here ---I'll be back for sure.

We had such a great time here! It was perfect for the 2 of us, plus our dog. It was very comfortable and cozy, and we found a few good restaurants with patios so we could take our dog. She got to run around and play, and we got to relax in the hammock chairs and enjoy the fresh air. Wouldn't change a thing and will definitely be back! Jennifer was so nice and accommodating, and gave us a lot of info about where to go and what we could do. Absolutely recommend this place 1000%!

We came in the offseason over Spring Break and it was the perfect camping getaway. We stayed in one of the prepared Tents (Happy Place). All the fun of camping without the hassle of setting up tents, sleeping equipment, or overheating in the tent. The camping area was a great size for a family.
Showers were warm and clean (with some friendly frogs to keep you on your toes). Only amenity I would improve is the toilets (standard port-a-potties, for the same price you can stay at a 3-star hotel)
The boys loved running around the wooded camp areas (we were all alone so they had complete freedom). Barely any bugs in March so we enjoyed sitting by the fire for hours

This trip was mega cool. The tree house was super comfortable. To everyone considering there I have a message: there is a property full size bed in the tree house. The photos make it look like it's a tiny sofa and you can't sleep on it, but in reality it is a proper bed big enough for two people. Over all I would give this place 5 out of 4 stars.

There is not much to wonder around but is cozy, so you shouldn’t need to. The only thing is that the restroom is not super close, so the only thing I would’ve brought was a portable potty for easy going.

My wife and I had an amazing time at The Magnolia. Jennifer and her husband were super friendly and treated us with kindness. They greeted us and gave us a short intro.
The set up in the tent house was full of thought and essentials. Flashlights, towels, matches, and first aid kit. They also had some outdoor games. Along with coffee cups and a French press! ☕️
We also bought some eggs and they were DELICIOUS! The eggs are a must! It completes the experience. 🍳
Our dog had an amazing time outdoors and really enjoyed his time out there! 🐾
I would recommend if it’s your first time glamming!

Weekend Trip to Colorado RiverBend Retreat #CRBR
I brought my wife here for Valentine’s Day, and we both had an amazing time. The property where the campsite was, was beautiful and serene. It was just the type of environment that we needed to ground ourselves and find some peace. We stayed at Terrys camper site and words can’t described how comfortable, clean, and cozy the place was. The restrooms were very clean and taken care of. This was the best experience I’ve had camping/glamping. This was my wife’s first time going camping, since she’s a city girl, I was somewhat worried on the experience, but it’s safe to say that I won her over to the outdoor life. Thank you Bridget for hosting us. We will be back!

Weekend Trip to Outpost 203 - Camp & Glamp
This place is well maintained and very lovely. Evenly spaced out from other campers. Tons of sticks to collect for a good fire, sorry if we cleared all of them out 🤣. The pirate ship is a good touch. Would highly recommend spending a few days here. We camped peacefully full of laughter and joy at the "zen den" only recommendation would be to put a strand of lights on the string for the front of the tent, at night it was hard to see it and would hate for anything to happen to a person or even the owners property. Other than that its a very warming and lovely place. Btw listen for the donkey and geese I had a good conversation with them. Thank you for an excellent stay and we are looking forward to doing it again one day!!

Great and secluded little spot on the river. There are more tent/rv sites nearby, but i had the whole area to myself. Bathroom was clean, well lit and close by. Camper covered the basics and ac/heater unit kept us comfortable.

So a friend of mine recommended this spot and the family liked the idea of camping Christmas weekend so that's what we did. Booked the cute little camper and pitched a tent outside. It worked out perfect for a family of 4 adults & 2 littles. The camper is so adorable and was very comfortable. They've got a mini fridge, coffee pot w/ coffee provided and even had a TV! Guys were able to watch the football game on a big screen! Oh and did I mention it's air conditioned! Huge fire pit and the outhouse was pretty cool. 2 showers and toilet and just across from the camper which was very nice. Towels and shampoo were provided even. They had canoes to use at your discretion. A swing for small ones. Very much a nice & cozy spot and would definitely camp there again!
