Weekend Trip to Arison's Farm Stay

What a lovely space to escape from the world! Great hosts, great kids and great space. Very clean. Had everything we needed and more. Jim was entertaining, the dogs are sweeties, and all the goats! Terrific stay

2 nights at JH Ranch-Haggard Lake

Our family recently had the pleasure of staying at John's cabin, and it was the perfect get away for us. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with the peaceful sound of nature and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. The cabin itself was clean, well-equipped, and well furnished, providing all the comforts of home while still maintaining that rustic charm. We hiked around the property, fished in the lake, and sat around the fire pit at night. John has beautiful land that feels far away from hustle and bustle of our day to day lives. We would highly recommend this stay for anyone looking to get away.

3 nights at 🐮Tiny Town at GSD Ranch🐣 Unique

Our family came to the ranch for a quick getaway over the kids’ spring break and had the best time. The accommodations were terrific - super clean, all that we needed was provided, even some extra board games for the kids to play. The town of Hico was close and super charming. Kara, our host and her husband even met us one evening so that the kids could feed the animals and she was extremely helpful and responsive throughout our entire stay. Highly recommend!

Weekend Trip to JH Ranch-Haggard Lake

This place was a great place to gather with our adult children. The cabin is rustic but comfortable with some great amenities and a beautiful view of the pond and ranch land. John is an exceptional host...very accessible and helpful! We loved the jeep ride and his horses, cows and dogs! We are already planning a return trip! Thank you John for a fun weekend!

Our stay was so relaxing! We picked a perfect weekend to fish and kayak out on the lake. The cabin was perfect! John was accommodating to schedule, and even had a nice conversation with him while fishing. Hope to come back soon!

Weekend Trip to The Tailgate Ranch

We enjoyed tent/car camping at The Tailgate Ranch. Our host Julia greeted us on arrival and made sure we had everything we needed and made herself available if we had questions. This is a great place for camping and boondocking The ground is level and cleared with lots of space. The overall location is perfect. We used it as a home base to go explore nearby towns like Hico and Glen Rose and Dinosaur Valley State Park. The restroom was clean and comfortable with air and heating if needed. There are indoor and outdoor showers and also an outdoor kitchen sink with hot water. This is a pet friendly place with resident dogs and cats who will come say hello. If you're in the area definitely choose Julia's place to stay!

Take a dip in the the 6 acre private lake that also offers great fishing and kayaking. Want some adventure? Sign up for the Jeep tour of the ranch. Serious about fishing? Get the 2 man bass boat with trolling motor. Want to see stars? We are an hour SW of Fort Worth so well away from the city lights. Your well behaved dogs are welcome but please add under extras the $25 additional cleaning fee. If they are don’t leave hair everywhere I will refund it.

Welcome to the Airstream on Arison Farm. While you enjoy your farm stay, watch the chickens and the goats forage on our eight-acre property just five minutes from Granbury’s historic square, and two miles from the closest boat ramp. Soak in the water trough right off the porch, or lounge by the fire pit. Use our farm as home base while you explore the local wineries, breweries, restaurants, antique and junk shops and so much more that Granbury has to offer. We even offer WiFi and a smart TV. Access to the Airstream will be in a field where we keep our goats, chickens, turkeys, and large, friendly livestock guardian dog. Feel welcome to explore our front field, located between our driveway/parking area and the road. We tend to leave grass here high at some times of the year for the wild flowers, but there are paths mowed around and through it. This is where our big green houses (high tunnels) are. The huge tree in the middle is an old native pecan.
