My husband, dogs, and I stayed in The Hideout and it was the perfect cozy space with everything we needed. Communication was top notch and river access for fishing was a definite perk. We saw plenty of wildlife during our stay as well.

My friends and I had an absolute blast on the pasture mingle campsite. I will say though, if you’re looking for a lot of privacy, you’ll probably want to go with the mother tree location. Since this campsite is next to the barn where horse rides begin, there were people coming in and out a lot during our stay. Didn’t bother us, and we preferred being right up next to the horses, with two sheep roaming and playing around for us to watch. I’d recommend this spot to families with kids who like animals, and the mother tree location for people who want more of the private river spot. Overall we were very pleased.

My girlfriend and I had a magical weekend at the ranch. It was easy to find- close to Georgetown which has a nice market on Saturdays- yet remote enough to stargaze. We rode horses and played with the goats, ponies, and a litter of 8 7-week old puppies. At night the hosts brought us plenty of firewood for our spot near the horse pasture. It was a very fun and friendly experience all around.

I have nothing but positive things to say about Wendy and Kevin. They are super nice people and came by as I was getting checked in to make sure I got settled. When I accidentally left something at my site, Wendy reached out to me and we were able to get my items back to me. I am looking forward to my next trip to the area and will definitely be staying there again. The facilities clean and well kept. The grounds were beautiful. I arrived in the dark and it was nice to make up to the rolling, tree-covered hills.

The setup was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed for a camping trip without the hassle of packing heavy gear. Gorgeous piece of land! We pitched a tent at the RV spot and the views were gorgeous. The fire pit was great with the built in grill, making our campfire meals easy. The river was beautiful and clear and we had a blast catching fish and little frogs in our nets and cooling off. The animals were wonderful too, and my 6 year old son can’t stop talking about riding the horses! (The more reluctant 4 year old had fun too, even if he didn’t want to admit it.) It was so sweet that they let us hang out with the new sweet litter of puppies as much as we wanted! If you’re staying here within the next few months, beware… you might accidentally take home a new family member!

Wonderful camping spot near Hamilton. Showers and bathrooms were very clean. There’s even an indoor area to cook and relax. We were very happy here especially since it was so hot out. The tent sites were very leveled and clean. It had a picnic table and a fire pit and grill. Wendy was also a great hosts. I would recommend this place.

Lost horizon was a great experience for us. I’m in my 40’s and we enjoy camping but I am not into communal living or multiple units close together. This offered the seclusion we wanted and a fair price. You will need a 4x4 vehicle or at least a full size suv to get down the last stretch of road to the sites. Everything else is just as noted on the site and within the website for the property. Don’t hesitate to book!
