Running Water Creek is a unique, fully off grid campground just 20 minutes to downtown Chattanooga. We have 80+ campsites spread out over 120 acres. Most of the roads are accessible in any small car, but some roads require 4x4 (they're marked with a sign). We have a bath house with toilets, showers, and sinks and even offer hot water! Our well and cabins are all solar-powered as we are not on the electric grid. Some info about the property: -we DO NOT have water or power hookups -we have gravel roads with a 5 MPH speed limit on the property (if you drive too fast the roads will seem rough) -we are right next to a highway and train tracks so there will be some noise (some days are better than others and we have no way of predicting how many trains will/will not go by) -none of our campsites have picnic tables (please plan accordingly) -most campsites have fire rings built, but if you choose a site without one you need to build your own

When purchased the home was a small non descript cottage with a pole barn in the back field. It has grown to support grape, blackberry and muscedime vines.The original home has expanded through time and around 20 years ago, the pole barn was converted into a large 1200 square foot cabin with modern conveniences. My husband and I actually enjoyed living full time in the cabin for a period of 5 years before returning to reside in the main house. The cabin consists of 1 large common space room with sitting area and kitchen. The antique farm sink has hot and cold running water. Also available is a large refrigerator, toaster, microwave oven, hot plate, coffee pot and portable dishwasher. The antique Hoosier cabinet holds cooking utensils and silverware and located above the kitchen counter you will find plates, bowls, cups and glasses for your use. The water is well water, pure and delicious without chemicals. The cabin is equipped with a full size pool table for our guests enjoyment. The master bedroom offers a comfortable sleigh bed, full bathroom with shower and just outside the bedroom is a comfortable patio to enjoy, complete with table and chairs for two and outdoor fire place. Also available is a twin bed tucked in the corner of the area between the main room and bedroom. For guests wishing to continue their exercise routine, a modern treadmill is available as well. Walk the spacious well landscaped yard with multiple seating venues including a large hammock. For a quiet night of movie enjoyment, bring your favorite movies and make use of the DVD/VCR machine and wide screen television. Nestled on five peaceful acres near Arrington, Franklin, Nolensville, Murfreesboro, and Nashville, this cozy barn retreat is the perfect escape to relax and recharge. Designed and built by a husband-and-wife duo, it blends rustic charm with thoughtful touches—featuring a king-size Casper bed, a cozy loft with a double bed for kids, and front porch rocking chairs ideal for morning coffee or evening sunsets. The kitchenette includes everything you need to make a hot meal—cookware, dishes, utensils, and a small refrigerator/freezer that can be pre-stocked with your favorite drinks upon request. There’s also a cooler on the porch and a small bar top that doubles as a workspace with a view. Guests can enjoy outdoor amenities including a fire pit, a stocked fishing pond, and fresh eggs upon request. You’re welcome to stroll the property, but please avoid the main residence’s deck, pool, and front yard. Fishing poles and tackle near the grill area are free to use—just return them after. Children must always be supervised around water. Please park on the gravel driveway only. Chickens roam freely during the day, and while they’re friendly, the rooster can be protective. Our dog, Petty, may wander by to say hello—let us know if that’s an issue and we can make arrangements. The tree swing and swing set are for children 12 and under. The barn accommodates two adults, and the loft is for up to two children. Please use caution with the ladder and never leave children unattended. Guests must be at least 25 to book. Your unit is part of a larger barn; the remaining space is used as a personal workshop that owners may occasionally access. These areas remain securely locked. This charming space offers a peaceful country retreat with the right mix of comfort and adventure. Whether you’re roasting marshmallows by the fire, fishing in the pond, or simply rocking on the porch, you’ll find plenty of reasons to slow down and stay awhile.

We only stayed one night at the tent but loved every minute! Grant called before we arrived to give us directions to the site so we would be prepared when we arrived in the dark. Everything was easy to find, just as he said. The trampoline was more comfortable than we expected! Bring extra towels in case of condensation. The area under the trampoline was perfect for food prep and hanging out. Above all, the waterfall was BEAUTIFUL! The short “hike” from the tent to the falls was easy for us and our German Shepherd to navigate. We had a wonderful time- can’t wait to return!

Great area to explore and thankful for a safe location to park the rv with hookups. Jenny and Tim made everything feel like home. They were closeby and helpful when needed however allowed for privacy . The dogs were able to explore the field and be a little feral in nature.

A charming little cabin on a beautiful property! I stayed here with my three dogs, and they loved having the space to roam freely. The cabin was cozy and comfortable, and the modern bathroom was a nice touch. Both the main room and the bathroom have their own window unit. Keith was wonderful to chat with, a friendly and welcoming host.

What an amazing campground this is! I chose a primitive tent site A1 and was so glad I did. The tent pad was perfect; mostly level. I was glad for the tiny slope, as it allowed all the rain to flow down from under my ground tarp and 3 season tent. I stayed 100% dry. The outhouses were very clean. And the update B bathhouse was heated and immaculate! I didn’t think I would use it/need it, but a warm shower after the cold rain was a treat. Staff was friendly, responsive, and helpful and informed about nearby trails. This is a place I look forward to returning to!!

Amazing set-up!! Beautiful location and scenery. I stayed in the glamping tent and it was clean, comfortable, and safe. I went by myself with my dog and she loved having all the space to run around outside the tent. We also hiked down to the waterfall and a little further, and I know there were plenty of other trails nearby too. A perfect getaway! Grant and Becky were super helpful and very sweet! 10/10 recommend booking here.

We loved the glamping cabin and the views. It matches the description well. Great place to stargaze too we spotted some meteors as well! But it was super chilly and there was just one heater so that was little hard to sleep we assumed there would be more. But in summer I think it would have been the best. We didn't get to interact with hosts a lot but they were super responsive. Would definitely recommend but come geared up.

Nice campsites with picnic tables and fire pits. Plenty of trees for your hammock. Full hookups were nice. Pretty in the fall. Only drawback was the sites were a little tight and it took a few tries to get in. If you have a long trailer, it might be difficult.
