Strategic Location for peaceful camping with lots of nearby options. Camping is very primitive and rustic as new amenities come online in planned future. The best time of booking is the weekend at present. We have: Wooded/Grassy hills with plenty of tree cover and open space to spread out . A uniquely positioned community fire pit is available with an impressive view.  It is very rustic and primitive, but well kept, quiet, secluded, with developing  surroundings.  There is direct access to Jefferson National Forest and miles of hiking, biking and horseback trails. Equestrians encouraged, but is Bring your own horse and Tie Line. Nearby sites include Bark Camp Lake, Guest River Gorge, Bear Rock, Little Stony Falls, Chief Benge Trail, Devils Bath Tub, and High Knob. We are also located along several driving and scenic routes to include: Backroads of the Cumberland's, Appalachian Backroads, Virginia Wildlife and Birding Trail, and Thomas Jefferson Scenic Byway (Rt. 72). In addition, within a short drive there is an ATV trailhead in the local town. The Clinch River is not far at all as well.  There is a small quaint downtown less than 5 miles with grocery, gas, supplies, and a few places to eat. Mission: The original idea for CR Adventure Outpost came many years ago. We grew up visiting "Grandparents" in Wise County and developed a deep love for the area, the outdoors, and all it had to offer. There came a point, , when we realized that the amount of outdoor activities and authentic cultural experiences could indeed support visitors. It could also support many business opportunities once everyone became aware of what was all around them. At that point, a process began of research and planning on ideas some thought were pointless. People deeply want to get back to nature and withdrawal from a fast paced materialistic society, at least long enough to realize what is really important in life. We really only slept here! But it was very pretty and quiet despite proximity to the road. It was super accessible from Gatlinburg/PF. The toilet/shower was great! We did worry we were bothering the people in the little cabin each time we started the pump. We noticed upon our arrival the firewood area wasn’t stocked, but some time over that first night wood appeared. The two little solar-powered lights in our site did not work, and none of the tiki torches would light. Something splashed around in the creek a couple times, but no crazy wildlife encounters.

My family of 4 and I enjoyed our stay at this property (4 year old and 8 year old included!) The property is 5 minutes or less from a Family Dollar and a Walmart market but is back off the main road far enough you don’t feel like you’re in the busy of everything. My kids loved the swing, hammock and being able to just run around all where we could keep an eye on them. You’re within 15 minutes (on a busy day) to Dollywood and Splash Country

We had a great stay in Tree Solo! The hosts at GlampKnox thought of everything— we had a bug net to keep the tent insect-free, our own outhouse, water, power, fans, and lanterns. The land is beautiful, and the horses and barn cat are an added bonus! Would definitely recommend.

Good campfire, close to town so it isn't inconvenient, it is well set up and clean which was nice. We were the only site with campers the night that we stayed there, if there had been multiple more sites filled it may have felt a little cramped. Well designed though and I would stay again.

Absolutely loved this place. Teesolo is the best site in property. The staff was incredibly accommodating. The facility was beautiful. The outdoor shower was so cute and the bathroom was clean! I was also super surprised that there was also an outhouse by the tent. The tent stayed perfectly dry and I had no issues with mosquitoes or anything of that nature. They even provided an extra bug screen incase I slept with the door open. My pups and I Absolutely loved this place. The front porch Absolutely was the icing ontop of the cake. 10/10 could not recommend this enough. Id love to come back and stay for a longer period of time.

5 nights at East Tennessee Hilltop Campsite

Pastoral farmland isn't typically my go to for camping, but I was looking for a spot that offered a dose of nature while having enough connectivity to allow me to work remotely and this spot fit the bill! Cell service was not really strong but was adequate, and the spot had clear skies which allowed me to use starlink for faster speeds. The property is nice and the directions were good. We had no issues finding or accessing the property. The spot is farm land with a beautiful mountain backdrop. Gorgeous sunsets and peaceful days. The site listing mentions trails. If they exist, I didn't find them but the driveway is long enough to make for an enjoyable evening or morning stroll down and back. Wildflowers, honeysuckles and fragrant evergreens surround the property edges and make the stroll more pleasant. The property is well maintained and had everything we needed. Located a short driving distance to other scenic areas like the paint creek corridor and jones meadow. We also enjoyed driving around the immediate area which is very picturesque farm country. A few things to be aware of - the parking pad was not very level, bring leveling blocks if you are not in a tent. Its on the edge of working farm and an equestrian facility. There are farmers doing farmer things and equestrians doing equestrian things. These were not disruptive to our stay in any way, but campers should know these are possibilities.

We loved our stay here! We were in an area just to ourselves and even our own bath house. The bathroom and shower were made out of a horse trailer and were very clean and had hot water! They were very nice and explained to us how to use their facilities. We enjoyed being able to make our dinner by the river in the new fire pit. They even provided fire wood and kindling! It felt very private and was a big site to stay at. This was definitely my favorite place I have stayed at to camp and we would definitely come back!

Beautiful spot. We stayed in the solo tent which I recommend if you want extra privacy. The barn is so beautiful. The outdoor shower located at the barn is such a great space. Everything was super clean, the host was really responsive through the app, and they provided clean water for dishes. Easy to find given the written directions. Just an overall great space. Would stay again!

This was my 2nd booking with Adam at this site. We returned for our 2nd trip; as we were road-tripping across the country.I contacted Adam directly about the site avails and he was very responsive.Upon arrival, the driveway to the campsite is now marked with Hipcamp signs.The land has had improvements to the driveway, as this is all now gravel and sides of the driveway are now fixed with rock/drainage.We were pulling a 15 foot camper with a rear-wheel drive Sprinter Van and did not have any issues driving up the hill.Once the camper was set up; electric/water hook up on the gravel pad at the top of the hill; we were able to use the full-size propane bbq to cook up some fresh local steaks, as we took in the views and the perfect sunset.The 2 dogs had an absolute blast being able to run freely and play.Hung out under the stars after dinner to star-gaze.Was able to sleep peacefully with our camper AC on, without the noise of our generator or any other campers next to us.The privacy and electric/water hookup is unbeatable!Woke up to a clear morning to make some breakfast and sip coffee while doing a little computer work from the picnic table before we packed up/headed out. AT&T, Verizon and TMobile all have service. There is a metal firepit for use, BYOW.Closest place to purchase wood is 10-15 min away, on the Ashville Hwy.This is a bring in/out site w/o facilities, so have garbage bags and personal waste bags. All in all, a great stay.Will definitely come back for a third time.
