My brother and I built it from the ground up and did our best to replicate a 100+ year old mountain cabin. Surrounded by woods, nature and lots of wildlife. Keira's Kabin sits down in a very quiet area on the property along side a spring fed creek. It's very easy to get to and can accomodate up to 4 people. The bunk bed allows 1 person to sleep up top and 2 people to sleep on the bottom. There's also a lounge chair that folds out that another person can sleep on. All the bedding is available at the cabin, but if you want to bring your sleeping bags, you are more than welcome to. There are some eating utensils available as well as a variety of cooking tools (frying pan, tongs, spachulas, etc). You can choose to use the campfire to cook or you can use the propane camp stove if you choose. We also have a hot dog and hamburger holder, popcorn maker, marshmellow spears and sandwich makers that are used for cooking over the campfire. There is great cell service at the cabin but no wifi. Other area services include, Kengo gas station near the entrance of the property and within 7-10 minutes you can be in town to get anything you need. My buddy and I had a great weekend getaway to relax at the Woodsman Cabin at Starr Mountain Retreat on 23 acres in the Cherokee National Forest near Reliance, Tennessee. This place is the real deal. It is quiet, private, and surrounded by woods with that perfect peaceful vibe.
The cabin is spotless, well laid out, and seriously comfortable. The queen bed in the main bedroom and the twin beds up in the loft were both very comfortable. They have literally thought of everything. There is a full kitchen, gas fireplace, grill, and all the little details that make it easy. You could literally show up with just a suitcase and feel like you’re checking into a hotel room. No scrambling for basics.
They even had an abundance of dry firewood ready, and they thought of the little things like dry kindling in a bucket ready for use. The fire pit served us well for some great evenings chilling out.
The owners were responsive, and it really shows in how well the place is set up. We felt that the advertisements for this location actually undersell just how excellent it is. This is a first-class spot in the woods. Already talking about coming back. Highly recommend it for any guys looking for a solid relaxing getaway. Thanks Nola and Brian! 🙌

Absolutely the perfect cabin. The cabin had everything we needed and only needed to bring our clothing and food. Nola has thought of everything for this cabin all the way down to the kindling for the fire. The beds were comfortable and the hot water was hot. The AC worked great and we loved the fire pit and front porch.

We stayed in a really cute, small barn-style space that clearly had a lot of handmade character and charm. You can tell a lot of it was built with a personal touch, which gives it a unique feel. That said, the ladder leading up to the loft was very petite and a bit difficult to use. Overall, it has potential and a lot of charm! We loved the plants and garden.

We enjoyed our stay in the hangar! We stayed the other night in the historic train and then last night in the hangar. We appreciate that Dean took the time to explain some historic features of the hangar (he also let us know about the historic train that used to be a kitchen train during WWII). We were impressed by how spacious the hangar is; it is also very clean and organized. It was very peaceful and relaxing here, and it was nice being greeted by the dogs. A big thank you to Adrienne and Dean for their kind hospitality!

We had a great stay at Adrienne and Dean's remodeled hangar. It was beautifully decorated, super clean, and stocked with everything we needed. Their dogs were very friendly and we loved having them around. Highly recommended as a relaxing retreat that's not too far from the Smoky Mountains.

Such a cozy cabin in a low flat field. Caution if it may have suffered from rain, the field may be soft. Ask for a PIN to follow on Google Maps to the actual site because it's not at the address or pin that Hipcamp provides. We had an awesome time on our trip this past weekend. The temps dropped into the mid 20’s and we stayed nice and warm in our shelter. It was so well made and nicer than expected. All 4 of us were able to fit comfortably for 2 nights. The site itself sits right on a small pond and a short walk to the porta potty. This was the perfect spot for our little family adventure. The hosts were so wonderful to check in as we arrived and after the first really cold night so make sure we had enough fuel for the heater. Heater and battery were very appreciated even though we came prepared. Stores nearby if you forget something. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Had a great time at the cabin. We came in the off season on a rainy weekend that turned pretty cold, but overall it was a great stay. The cabin was very easy to find, had plenty of firewood (absolute must, no insulation) and secluded enough from the main part of the property to really provide that peace and quiet we were looking for. It could use a little tlc, but again, we came in the off season so it's hard to take any points off for that. Would absolutely stay here again.

This loft perfectly met our needs for a quick, comfortable stopover mid road trip! The appliances all seemed new, the bed was comfortable, the shower was hot, and our fur babies had plenty of space to move around. The host seemed experienced and thoughtful with little touches around the loft (ice in the freezer, shampoo in the shower, hot chocolate and mugs ready for a nice treat, tv on a swivel arm so you can watch from the bed, gate on the patio to keep your dog contained etc) and clear instructions for where to find everything and what to expect. The craftsmanship around the loft was also impressive (well built doors, countertops etc). We would definitely stay here again!
