No city lights, a sky full of stars, beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need including spices and condiments for your use. I provide coffee for your quiet mornings on the front or back porch while you encounter the birds, deer, and sometimes even a fox. Enjoy! The space You will have access to the entire space. You will experience lots of wildlife during your stay. Feel free to grill out and build a fire. The property is on a dead-end road, has a huge yard, and tons of parking. There is also a pond on sight if you like to fish. There are 2 back patios and a balcony off of the master upstairs. The house easily sleeps 10. Please refer to the details in the listing as to bed sizes, etc…12 guests can make it work with the air mattress. I am currently painting the inside of the house room by room, so you may see some painter's tape in 1 said room. Thank you for overlooking this as it’s an ongoing DIY project. Our beautiful setting overlooks the West Fork of the Stones River. With walk-in access to the water, the camp is perfect for exploring a thriving river system (2, 6, and 8 mile floats are easy since take-out points are just up the road a piece or just paddle up and down the river, depending on the rains). The river is wadable most of the year. Smallmouth and seasonal trout make for easy fishing. The river is home to an abundance of birds, turtles, and fur-bearing friends. On some days we might have old time music band playing on our side of the river. You’re welcome to join and listen to the music.

We enjoyed our time at this campsite very much, sitting by the fire and hiking the trails right outside our tent doors! Jon was an awesome host, informative as well as kind. The lanterns and bug repellent candles were much appreciated as well. The animals were an awesome added bonus!!

We had a GREAT stay!! Jon-Roy was very responsive and helpful. It was cool to see the cows!! And the tent was exactly as described and even had a heater which we never used because the tent held enough heat (even though it was a little chilly outside). The amenities were great and he really thought of everything. We got a great night sleep and will definitely be back. The little walk to the site wasn’t bad at all. Definitely glad we got there in the daytime otherwise it would have been tough to get to it. We loved our quiet little escape and will be back!

This was a great stay for our short trip—I only wish we had a little more time to enjoy the campground! Jon-Roy was very helpful and accommodating in helping us find the camping spot since we arrived right at dark. My family and I had a great time here. It’s a secluded spot with a nice tent and a happy friendly dog who kept us company. There’s a very short hike to the camp site from the best place to park which makes relaxing in the big comfortable chairs by the fire that much more rewarding. Make sure you do your tick checks! Highly recommend

Beautiful campsite and location on the river. We had a blast fishing, kayaking and tubing. There was a little island across the way that the kids had fun exploring around. Tent was comfortable and the outhouse was convenient. Seth and his wife were very hospitable. Highly recommend!

Fantastic place to relax! The tent is well equipped with a comfortable bed and bedding. Two rechargeable fans/lights, two lanterns, cooking equipment. We loved the little firewood stove in the tent where we made coffee in the morning. Plenty of firewood for the firepit. Wonderful memories were made here- beautiful, private feeling location by the water. Seth and his family were very accommodating- with an extra blanket etc. My husband and I would love to come back!

We love camping at Mr. Jon-Roy’s retreat. It was beautiful and peaceful up on the ridge. This was the first time our boys had been camping and we couldn’t have asked for a better place for that to happen. Mr. Jon-Roy was very nice and accommodating. We will definitely be back.

This was a great spot for my 4 night stay. The view is outstanding! The space is very private but also easily accessible. Host was easy to contact and very flexible. I would definitely stay again.
