Beautiful, serene place with friendly hosts. Great place to camp or "glamp it", like we did, by staying in a cabin. Its off the beaten path but still within reasonable drive of a city. Will definitely return

We really enjoyed our stay at belle and beau we stayed two nights unfortunately it rained on our second day there but did not deter us from enjoying our stay right on a brook as we stayed at camp site 2 a little bit of hike up hill on your way out but I am 56 and a little chunky just took a rest as needed. Only animals we saw were frogs and one snake not sure if it was a cotton moth or just water snake either way we was in the water and it avoided us so it’s all good. To make a long story short Christine has a wonderful place and I will definitely be back

We had a wonderful experience at Belle and Beau Acres while celebrating a birthday away from the city. The property was peaceful and charming, exactly what we were looking for. Christine was incredibly kind and responsive, always ready to help with any questions we had throughout our stay. One of the highlights was the waterfall hike. It was gorgeous and our service dog, Moose, absolutely loved it! We even found a small rock with Crinoid fossils, which was such a cool surprise. All in all, it was a relaxing and memorable trip. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

We chose Belle and Beau Acres for our family camping trip due to its local proximity, affordability, stellar reviews and captivating photos. From start to finish, our experience was fantastic, largely thanks to Christine, the host. Her excellent communication, patience, and helpfulness made our first family camping trip in years smooth and enjoyable. The campsite is stunning, located a mile off the I-40 exit, nestled within walking distance of a serene waterfall and creek, offering post card views and tranquil setting. The sites are well-spaced, ensuring privacy despite the presence of other campers. However, as a primitive campsite, it lacks electricity, running water, and sewage, which might be challenging for beginners. We visited in June, and while the days were beautiful, the hot, humid nights brought relentless mosquitoes, which was tricky to manage. The convenience of parking right next to our site made bringing water and managing without electricity manageable. My only suggestions for improvement would be adding a few more attractions and possibly central sewage/outhouse given ample water access from creek and waterfall to enhance comfort. Despite these minor drawbacks, Belle and Beau Acres is a gem for those seeking a true nature escape. We highly recommend it and can’t wait to return with friends!

Due to circumstances beyond our control, we are broken hearted to announce that we will be closing our doors at midnight on July 13th 2025. We want to thank everyone that has came out to the farm over the past five years and supported us. It was a genuine pleasure to have the opportunity to meet each and every one of you, and to share our beautiful family farm with you, your families and friends. We will be refunding anyone with reservations after the 13th of July 2025 and hope that you all can find another hidden gem like ours, and continue to enjoy and make memories in the great outdoors. Thank you so much for all of your amazing support, reviews, and recommendations over the years. Our hipcampers are what made The Slab such an amazing place, and we are truly sorry that things didn't work out to where we could stay open. Kent and I are still looking into other options as to how we could move forward in the future with the part of the farm that we still own. So stay tuned for announcements for 2026. You never know what the future holds...

My grandparents, Donald Clayton Russell & Jewel Geneva (Davis) Russell, purchased this little piece of heaven to get away from the hustle and bustle of Cincinnati life. Judy was born in a little cabin just down the road. Judy & Don along with many family members have made cherished memories here over the years. We want to share its beauty with you and your family. Please consider, Clayton Geneva is a primitive campground, gravel drives and left as natural as possible. This is not a sculpted campsite or a concrete campground. The primitive area is as such, gravel, grass, sand terrain accessible by a one lane gravel drive that leads over the hill and around the cliff to the riverbank. This drive is absolutely passable however is left bumpy to keep traffic at a safe speed as pedestrians also walk the drive. It is passable by any vehicle as long as the vehicle is not overloaded beyond its ability and/or has an extremely low profile. Any area that is not an actual campsite is left to nature, not manicured, trimmed or sculpted. As you’ll find all the sites are clear please don’t expect micromanaging of wild growth of our native plants in areas around the sites as we reserve those areas for the wildlife to enjoy. Please consider all the above mentioned details, primitive campsites are not for everyone and that’s ok.

A short list of what to expect on site includes: PRIVACY - ADVENTURE - GETAWAY Quick response time/Clear communication Spacious, shady, leaf-bed campsites 360 degree views of relaxing nature 27 Foot Waterfall (365 days of flow except during severe drought) Rock shelter under Ledge Waterfall Two shallow lazy rivers for soaking Hiking trails onsite Multiple spring-fed creeks Countless water cascades for exploring Star gazing over wide pastures Old forests for ample shade and hammock hanging Cellular reception at campsites (usually at least 1 bar) Please read the site descriptions carefully to match your style of camping with the appropriate campsite. BBA guests frequently camp with a tent, vehicle, smaller camper, hammock tent, roof top tent, pop-up camper and similar styles. Most photos in this listing are taken onsite. Please keep in mind this is primitive and wild Tennessee landscape that may also contain poisonous plants and wildlife in or around camp. Access to fresh water fun is a short down-hill hike for all guests, with the exception of our hike-in campsites which are positioned alongside the river. Each spot has been strategically selected to provide as much privacy as possible, and comfortably accommodates groups with two vehicles. We provide a rock fire pit and heavy-duty, cast-iron grill grate. You provide everything else, including drinking water and personal toilet waste bags if you plan to use our system. The hike-in sites come with extra seating. Every guest must be included on your reservation, and adult guests may be required to provide identification. Thank you! COMMUNITY COMFORT STATION: There is a comfort station with an outdoor shower stall for hanging your own solar shower bag. The comfort station also includes a changing room which doubles as a private place to use your portable camping toilet. A toilet seat and bucket system is provided but guests will need to use their own waste disposal bags, available at most camping supply stores. The backside of the comfort station has a rain barrel (not potable) collection system for extinguishing fires. OFF-ROAD CONDITIONS: Due to the primitive nature of our location, all reservations should expect hilly terrain and potential bumpy or some muddy road access, especially after heavy rain. We ask all guests to help us minimize impacts by driving with care. Vehicles with low ground clearance or low-profile tires are no longer permitted to use the off-road drive and must park at the entrance. If you want a campsite with the shortest walk from the entrance parking area, you will want to select campsite 5, 9 or 6. When the road is open during unusually wet periods, we recommend AWD or 4WD as a precaution. We are continuously working on improvements for our off-road drive. Belle and Beau Acres is a farm homestead with a personal campground, conveniently located less than five minutes from I40. Expect nothing short of 360 degree views of relaxing nature, privacy, and spontaneous adventure when recreating at this agritourism location. Central to the most beautiful middle Tennessee destinations, BBA is the perfect home base for hiking, biking, kayaking, and fishing excursions to at least 10 nearby state parks and lakes. Conveniently located on the Eastern Highland Rim between Nashville, Knoxville and Chattanooga in the lower Appalachian mountains, this area sits at the Upper Cumberland Plateau and is part of Tennessee's largest micropolitan area of Cookeville.
