Karen was great, highly communicative, and extremely friendly. They went above and beyond and made sure trees that had fallen due to a storm the night before were taken care of and provided no safety issues! Nestled in a beautifully wooded 9-acre lot, this spot offers the perfect mix of seclusion and serenity. The trees provide plenty of shade and privacy. The site itself is well-maintained, with a nice flat areas for our tent. There was plenty of space to explore which made you forget how close to city life you were. Whether you’re looking to unplug and unwind or just want a peaceful base for other adventures, this spot is great for either. Highly recommend for anyone who needs a private spot to pitch a tent or park an RV.

Bill was a wonderful host, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay by the pond. It's the perfect spot to bring your dog and unwind in tranquility. I’m definitely looking forward to coming back.

Tammy was very responsive and accommodating to our last minute request to camp at her place. We never got to actually meet her, but she made us feel welcome and gave us good directions to our parking place. We felt very safe and comfortable, although it is quite close to a highway so there was a bit of traffic noise. We would happily stay there again!

2 nights at Pheonix meadows

Pheonix Meadows was the perfect setting for the peace and tranquility I needed this past week. I backed my truck camper into a a beautiful little nitch in the woods and settled in the the sounds of the forrest. The echoes of Barred owls in the evening and the exciting gobbles of the wild turkeys in the morning were welcoming sounds of the approaching spring..I was surprised by the bundle of wood provided by William and I enjoyed sitting by the fire each exening, so grateful for the privilege of being able to camp on this beautiful farm. I can't wait for the opportunity to return with my grandkids in the very near future.

It rained and our suv struggled up the muddy road to the site but we eventually made it there was lots of firewood and it was quite secluded we kayaked that was cool - he let us borrow two of them 5 stars

A great night stargazing last night, complete with a shooting star. Absolutely no light pollution from the site. Very low noise except frogs in the distance and light breeze in the trees. We’ve added this one to our favorites list and plan to come back. Great host on a working farm!

3 nights at Dylan’s Cozy Hideaway

What a cool spot! We stayed on the far right side of the property and there was a private trail to a firepit. Far enough away from the owners house to have privacy. Dylan was so nice and accommodating, he built us a table! I absolutely would recommend if you're OK with limited amenities. Lots of cool places to hike such as Victoria Bryant State Park and is only 15 minutes away from downtown elberton.

This property was ideal for our family gathering! The kids all had a blast, and Ray and Cindy were such excellent hosts. There are horses, goats, donkeys, chickens/roosters, and a nice little trail around the property. Having the barn with full bathroom and full kitchen made life a lot easier. We also enjoyed spending time in the heated/cooled living area. Would definitely recommend!

This place will exceed your expectations. Really nice folks own/run the place. Beautiful land with friendly animals no complaints at all. The barn and common areas are just a huge cherry on top from what I was really expecting when I set out to go camping.

Weekend Trip to Beautiful 400 Acre Horse Farm

My hubby and an employee stayed at Jill’s property- they’re there doing storm clean up work. They loved it- the quiet, the nature- everything. They loved the owners dogs hanging with them and seeming to ‘guard’ them from the wild life- We absolutely recommend Jill’s property- hands down! We are hoping to take a trip there (non-work related) and be able to stay there. They wanted to explore, but they had a short time frame, and were super appreciative of the property owner allowing them to stay!

Free use of kayaks and a canoe on an undeveloped 18 acre lake is included when you camp here. Several miles of trails, dirt roads and streams wind through hundreds of acres which you are free to explore. The property has been owned by members of our family for 75 years or more with areas of it family-owned since the 1800's. A large portion of the property is dedicated to sustainable loblolly pine forests dating back to the 1980's. A significant area of the property is dedicated to native hardwood forest and has some of the oldest and largest white oak, poplar, elm and shortleaf pines in the upstate. The remainder of the property is pasture; home to Black Angus cattle. We look forward to sharing this unique property with you!

In just about 2 hours you can be in the Asheville area where you can enjoy and take in the local attractions and gorgeous mountain views. Another short jaunt into Georgia takes you to Hartwell and it's quaint southern atmosphere near Lake Hartwell. Additional short trips and you'll find more water, fishing, fun and sights on scenic Lake Russell and the Savannah River. My husband Ray and I purchased this property in 1982 when we made this our home. We raised two wonderful children who have moved on to pursue their own careers. Now we are retired and enjoy farming and ranching. We are a couple of miles away from Lake Murray, built in 1920's, and displaced thousands of families, farms, towns, churches, and schools. There are still homes, graveyards, Wise Ferry Bridge still underwater. A B-25 Mitchell plane crashed into the Lake during WWII. Our traffic circle was accidentally bombed one Oct. night in 1944. We are 30 miles from Columbia, SC, our state capital. Learn more about this land: We are a working farm of grass-fed beef, free-range laying hens and ducks, seasonal vegetables; fruits, honey hives, goats, donkeys and horses. We are surrounded by families who have lived on their land for many generations. No subdivisions. Great place to star gaze without street lights. We have 2 sites with water and electricity for camping. Our large barn has a full kitchen, full bath and den area for campers to share. Yet, we are just a few miles from 2 boat ramps on Lake Murray which offers fishing and boating. Also, we are just 30 miles from metropolitan Columbia, historic Newberry, and 15 miles from the town of Lexington, SC. The Capital City of Columbia, just 30 miles east, offers Riverbanks Zoo, Richland County’s Congaree National Park, Saluda Shoals Park, EdVenture Children’s Museum. The Newberry Opera House is 36 miles away and The Big Mo Drive-in Theatre is in Monetta, 13 miles. Indian Trail Public Golf Course is 15 miles in Leesville. Or just hang out at the farm, view the animals, or fish in our pond. We have stalls available for equestrian travelers and a trail around the property to walk or ride your horse. Pets must be on lease or voice control and poop scooping is not an option. No WiFi yet.
