Weekend Trip to Deerfield Farms

This is a lovely quiet get away . The owners are relaxed and very friendly. The showers, bathrooms etc are clean and well run. We had a great time hiking and roasting marshmallows around the campfire.

Great experience camping at Utopia Farm. Ray and Cindy are easy going and a pleasure to chat with. We love the horses, so very friendly. Goats are a riot! They we’re interested in what we were doing (Overlanding). We love sharing our adventures with those who are interested. Looking forward to seeing them again and highly recommend camping here!

Thomas was a more than wonderful host! He was very helpful and detailed with instructions on how to get to the camp sites. My family and I enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this peaceful place to others.

Family friendly- We had an amazing time camping and fishing. The family is so friendly and kind. Made sure we had everything we needed. Even gave us fresh farm eggs which were amazinging. The animals were so much fun to see and pet. My boys loved fishing and kayaking in the pond. This is a working farm so there are roosters but not that early like the other post stated. After the second day we barley heard them in the morning. Very quiet and peaceful. We will be back

I highly recommend Victor place. My family went there on a daddy daughter camping trip.The property is beautiful.The fishing is great and he was very helpful. My daughter said it was the best camping trip ever! Only issue we had was using the directions from this app, they were off a little. Found out through him that he also offers twenty dollar day fishing and will absolutely be taking him up on that. We will definitely be back!

This was by far the best hip camp ive ever been to. We are so happy we found Victor’s little slice of heaven. I believe every camper and angler should experience this place!! There are so many things to see or do on this property. We asked where the fish sit in the lake and he told us “wherever you can cast” and he was not lying!! We caught SO many fish this weekend and even cooked up some bream on the fire for dinner. The road was no problem, you couldnt hear it that much from our tent anyways. Even if you feel like it is the property is so big theres a spot somewhere for everyone. Victor even let us borrow a table and an extra chair. The shower and toilet was such a great addition as well. Victor was extremely nice and helpful, and came and checked to see if we were catching fish. He was an awesome host and we will 100% be back ASAP!!

Our time was too short. We only stayed 1 night but it is really a great place. So great to be able to let our dogs (4) have a safe place to run around and work off energy. The paddock is a great asset to an RV site. The owner is very friendly and we could probably have talked for much longer. Clean, quiet and very relaxing. Cannot wait to go back. Oh and you can bring your horses as they have cottages with paddocks also!

2 nights at Lizardsniffer

We had an amazing time at the Lizardsniffer camp! A friend of mine and I stayed for some mommy and me time and our expectations were over exceeded. We got to experience one of the cabins which was very comfortable and luxurious as well as tent camping. We were happy with the tent site as it had everything we needed very close together. Although it was early in camping season our kids still enjoyed swimming in the lake and going out in the kayaks. The land is large and beautiful with plenty of space. We also enjoyed seeing the horses and donkey. Overall we were extremely satisfied with the trip and felt spoiled by Randy and his staff, how can you not with every toilet having a bidet. Thank you for a great time!

My husband and I stayed for three nights with our pet, and it was exactly what we expected—it met our expectations! The place was very peaceful ; and it was calm and quiet. The owners were very friendly and helpful and you can tell they care about their guests. Our site was also perfect for bringing your pet. The beautiful lake, the corrals with gorgeous horses, and the cleanliness of the place are truly commendable. We had a great time. Thank you, Randy and Lisa!

2 nights at Pheonix meadows

Pheonix Meadows was the perfect setting for the peace and tranquility I needed this past week. I backed my truck camper into a a beautiful little nitch in the woods and settled in the the sounds of the forrest. The echoes of Barred owls in the evening and the exciting gobbles of the wild turkeys in the morning were welcoming sounds of the approaching spring..I was surprised by the bundle of wood provided by William and I enjoyed sitting by the fire each exening, so grateful for the privilege of being able to camp on this beautiful farm. I can't wait for the opportunity to return with my grandkids in the very near future.

It rained and our suv struggled up the muddy road to the site but we eventually made it there was lots of firewood and it was quite secluded we kayaked that was cool - he let us borrow two of them 5 stars

1 night at Pheonix meadows

A great night stargazing last night, complete with a shooting star. Absolutely no light pollution from the site. Very low noise except frogs in the distance and light breeze in the trees. We’ve added this one to our favorites list and plan to come back. Great host on a working farm!

Lizardsniffer

Lizardsniffer is a working horse farm with a variety of rental cabins and RV slips. We DO allow tent camping. Each RV slip has water, septic, 50 amp service and Wifi. An Amenities Cabin is provided for use by all RV site guests. The cabin includes a full-sized washer/dryer, a full bathroom with bidet, and an oversized jacuzzi tub. Guests must sign-up for a 4-hour timeslot. The cabin is available for use between the hours of 8am-8pm. Many of our RV sites feature private fenced paddocks for people bringing their horses or dogs. Horse visitors require all current paperwork (Coggins, etc.). Dog visitors must be social and friendly and thus are allowed to explore the farm with their owners off-leash if desired. The property includes miles of trails for hiking, biking, or horseback riding. Bring your own horse or experienced riders may be able to ride one of ours (subject to weight/experience matching with a horse). There is a small private stocked lake open to all guests of Lizardsniffer for fishing and swimming. At the lake you will find an amenities cabin called Glowy Bobber that has a full bathroom and outdoor shower as well as Kayaks and floats for guest use.

Free use of kayaks and a canoe on an undeveloped 18 acre lake is included when you camp here. Several miles of trails, dirt roads and streams wind through hundreds of acres which you are free to explore. The property has been owned by members of our family for 75 years or more with areas of it family-owned since the 1800's. A large portion of the property is dedicated to sustainable loblolly pine forests dating back to the 1980's. A significant area of the property is dedicated to native hardwood forest and has some of the oldest and largest white oak, poplar, elm and shortleaf pines in the upstate. The remainder of the property is pasture; home to Black Angus cattle. We look forward to sharing this unique property with you!
