He is better suited for small groups and has more privacy. Easy drive right to the campsite There is plenty of soft sand to set up one tent or ten tents; large groups are welcome for an extra fee. A Porta-Potty is available at the campsite. Swimming is usually possible at the base of the falls; however, the weather can change conditions and make it unusable. We loved our stay for four nights. Don’t let the lack of septic stop you from staying here. The state park is very close and allows you to dump there. The property was kept up so well. The hosts had great communication and still gave us plenty of privacy. Fishing/swimming from the dock wasn’t the best as most of it was taken up by their boat and there was a lot of grass and plants around the edges but the use of their kayaks was great! We enjoyed some bird watching too. We would stay again.

We loved this site on Lake Monticello. Very easy as far as directions and ability to pull into the campsite very smoothly with our 35 ft camper(we stayed in site 1)! We loved how calm and quiet the campground was, and it was definitely a plus being able to go down to the lake straight from the campsite! Our dog even got to enjoy the lake for a little bit as well! As this was our first time at this campground, definitely 10/10 recommend and will come back and camp again! And the owners are very nice and friendly!

Weekend Trip to Beautiful Lake Camping

The land was absolutely beautiful. The fishing was fantastic. Ann and Jack had tons of wood for a fire everynight. Ann brought us a dozen of fresh eggs from her chickens. It was so peaceful. I highly recommend staying on their property. You will not regret it.

Weekend Trip to Lakeshore Family Campground

Very well kept campground, peaceful part of the lake. Neighbors behind us were loud until 11:40 pm, right outside our bedroom window, but that wasn’t the host’s fault at all. Besides that, it was amazing! I’d definitely come back.

2 nights at Cedar Grove Farm RV Site

We had a great stay at Cedar Grove Farm. Set up for couple nights. Nice fire pit area. The 4 cows were nice and quiet. And seemed to enjoy our presence. Sunsets were beautiful. The spot was just a little tricky to get in and out of but only because i didn’t want to get into the grass too much. Julie and Chad checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed

9 nights at Beautiful Lake Camping

Such a lovely spot. Lots of room to spread out and wander. Less than 5 minutes to Lake Wateree State Park where you can use their dump station for $5 so no sewer was no problem. Ann and Jack gave me my space but checked to make sure I was OK. They even brought me a carton of eggs from their chickens!

We had a lovely stay at Julie and Chad’s property. Full hookups, nice and quiet, and lovely to see the farm animals outside our window. Julie & Chad were also very accommodating and helpful hosts.
