Camping in a Peaceful spot, under the stars, critters to feed, walk along side and pet, awesome shower and bathroom facilities, knowledgeable hosts and personnel, playground for the littles, walking trails, easy in and out, new fire rings, cute camp store. We had a great weekend get away. Obvious to us - many stay longer to enjoy the amenities of this location. The farm animals are a delight. We had our 3 GRANDchildren with us - all under 3 years of age. The goats, bunnies, chickens, fresh eggs, donkey, cows, pigs and water fowl were a delight to feed and touch some. The staff were great about sharing their knowledge. We have all agreed to return.

My stay at the Open Field 1 site was absolutely peaceful and refreshing! The wide-open field offered great open views for my Starlink, with plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the quiet. The hosts, Steve and his wife, were friendly and welcoming, and the site itself was well-maintained—perfect for stargazing at night or lounging during the day. It was very easy to access and maneuver into, making it an ideal boondocking spot for a relaxing weekend getaway. I’ll definitely be coming back!

With several RV sites, and more to come, a Yurt and soon to be 3 insulated geodesic dome cabins, you'll think you're in a high end camping resort at Black Pearl Farms. While really you're in the middle of a working berry farm.
I stayed for a week in the winter so I didn't get to experience the farm in working order. But I can imagine looking out my window at rows and rows of blueberries and lavender. And just a mile or so down the country road is the upper Edisto River, ripe for kayaking and exploring.
I can't say enough about the hosts here. They welcomed me on the road coming in, they checked on me during my stay. And they're building the place on their own. I appreciate hard work especially when it creates a place that's going to be a gem to visit, not that it isn't already!
So, if your heading north or south, or even east or west, look for Black Pearl Farms in South Carolina. You'll be glad you did.

This was our third time staying at Outside Inn. We love this campground so much. We stay on our way to & from Florida every winter from Virginia. We stayed for Christmas this time. It’s one if not our favorite place to stay. It’s always so clean & quiet. Very peaceful & everyone is super nice, welcoming & helpful. I was the only one there camping in a tent. I felt very comfortable and safe and it was nice to have an outlet to charge my laptop.
I had an amazing stay while I was there. The staff was so nice and helpful.. The farm was in beautiful condition. The animals looked happy and I loved waking up to the roosters Crow in the morning. The hiking trails were a pleasant surprise to have. They’re very well maintained. The bathroom was clean and very pretty.
I got the bottle feed the baby goats in the morning and that was so much fun. They were so cute.
There is a Dollar General right down the road if you need anything.
I will be back I highly recommend..
