Harmony Glen will keep a piece of our hearts. We camped for 6 nights on Mrs. June’s property and loved every minute of it. June’s 40 acres are pure treasures and it was a privilege to experience a part of her daily life. June’s two pups, Peaches and Molly were an adorable addition.

Weekend Trip to Coweeta Creek Campground

Amazing trip! Our guests came in from Louisiana and we booked this site for them to deliver an RV rental to them. They had an amazing time! It’s absolutely beautiful.

Weekend Trip to Jake's Farm

We had a great stay at Jake’s farm! The site was exactly as pictured, and everything matched our expectations. Jake/Chris was a welcoming host and very quick to respond to any questions. One of the highlights was seeing so many fireflies at night—it made the experience feel truly magical. Would definitely recommend!

Weekend Trip to Harmony Glen

This was our first Hipcamp experience and overall it was a good one! June was a lovely host with a beautiful property that we enjoyed exploring with our kids. There is a grassy plot by the fire pit where you can pitch a tent near part of the creek. While it isn’t too far from June’s house, a tree line provides some privacy. The road is nearby and you can hear cars every now and then, but the sound was infrequent and not a big deal for us. There were lots of lightening bugs when we were there and the display was pretty impressive. Our kids enjoyed hiking in the woods and playing in the creek. June’s pups, Molly and Peaches were sweet and our kids loved petting them. Our only negative was beyond June’s control- there were some dogs nearby (not hers) that barked constantly hours into the night/early morning. This is probably not an issue with an RV, but we will be bringing ear plugs next time. :)

Absolutely an amazing place! We were traveling through and needed a quiet place to stay for the night. The sound of the creek lulled us to sleep. We will definitely be back and for longer next time.

Weekend Trip to Forest & Farm Camping Retreat

We loved camping on Mark’s land. Mark was super nice and very helpful. There are a couple of campsites to choose. The short walk in to the spot by the creek was very nice. We would definitely stay at this site again.

Weekend Trip to Broken Oak Riverside Getaway

We really enjoyed our time at Craig’s site! The campsite (2) felt very private. We have three boys ages 16 years to 4 years old and they loved it as well. We also brought our two fur babies. The river is just feet away from the campsite and was perfect for floating. We brought sand toys as well which was perfect for the sandy area. The bathroom was a fantastic plus. Craig was fast to respond with any questions we had. We can’t wait to come back!

We enjoyed our stay! It was nice to have our own little spot, and the sound of the creek was very relaxing at night. My wife especially loved the sweet dogs on site.

1 night at Ruby Ranch

Such a quiet hidden gem at Ruby Ranch! If you’re looking for a peaceful spot to lay your tent this is it! With a great mountain and creek view, and nice fluffy grass to lay to your tent. We fell asleep to the sounds of the creek and fields of fireflies all around us. As a bonus its location is only a short drive from our favorite spots on the parkway. It is primitive, no bathroom or potable water, so keep that in mind. Would definitely recommend Ruby Ranch as an ideal camping spot!

Favorite hipcamp so far . Stayed @ site #1 right on the creek. Campground was quiet & hosts gave us plenty of space . Female bathrooms were down for repairs but there were locks on the men's bathrooms so no problem . Local area is beautiful.

We absolutely enjoyed Craig's land. The creek and beach are clean. The bath house is amazing, clean and perfect. The added features available in the greenhouse was a wonderful addition. There is highway noise but not enough to ruin the experience.

Absolutely loved Northern h River farms #2 campsite on south Mills River rd. We had a huge surprise birthday party for my dad and had 20-30 ppl there we all were super comfortable and had so much space. We e did not camp out instead had a family cook out cleaned up and went home. However we f ll on love and plan to camp out for the weekend. Candace and the north river farm was awesome. I love I’ll definitely be back and will 100%campsite there again in the near future.

This RV site is on our property where we first lived in a mobile home. We love camping and thought what a great place for a quite retreat. So we made the site into a full hook up RV camp site. Beautiful location with a view of Table Rock located in the Historic Oolenoy Valley. Our property is located in Northern Pickens Co. of South Carolina. Plenty of trails, boating, biking in the area or just sit under your awning and enjoy the wildlife. Important please read! There is not evening shade in July and August, However, there are shady spots very close to the camp site that you can enjoy. Where your camper sits the Sun goes down at the front of the camper. It is typically not an issue until mid-July and August. If you need additional details, please contact me. There are two homes near the camp site. The one behind the site is our home. Just me and my wife, currently no pets. The other home is a small white farmhouse that I currently rent to close friends. Chris and his wife and two well behaved kids. The kind of neighbors' people dream of! In five years of renting this site I have only had one couple that felt uncomfortable with the homes on our driveway. They chose not to stay, and I refunded them. It is very safe here and secluded from the main road. Look at all of the pictures to make sure this is the spot for you. Thanks Sincerely SteveG

Pisgah Riverbend

This property is situated on 50 acres, surrounded by private property with views of the nearby Pisgah National Forest and a 10 minute drive to DuPont State Forest. Campsites are adjacent to the French Broad River. Excellent fishing and boating. It is heavily populated by deer and other wildlife. For this reason, dogs must be kept on a leash. Please note that due to the campground being in low-lying land, the drive in is subject to being slick and muddy, 4WD is always recommended. Message us with any questions. Due to the property proximity to the river and situated in floodway, the sites are subject to flooding during heavy rain events. Voluntary and/or mandatory evacuation may be necessary during any reservation due to high waters or forecast for high water events. If evacuation is necessary, unused portions of reservation will be refunded. Campers are advised to be self-sufficient with water and shower facilities. We do provide a port a potty and firewood is for sale on site (Venmo, PayPal or cash). IF YOU ARE CAMPING WITH A RV OR TRAILER, PLEASE CONTACT US TO DISCUSS A SITE. All sites can accommodate smaller RV camper units. However, larger RV's have limited site availability. Campsites are situated along the river edge. Embankments are steep and near deep water. Although not prohibited, constant supervision for children is a must to avoid serious injury due to natural hazards. My wife and I moved to the area, from Boone, in the spring of 2014. Our dream was to own a house, preferably a cabin, on top of a mountain with long range views and a gradual winding road to the top. Living in Boone, this dream was definitely out of reach. When we began our search for a new home in the Asheville area, we discovered that the more affordable homes were in fact on the mountains. Perfect! In general I always have a pretty positive outlook on what’s possible, however, I was skeptical that we would ever find our dream home. As Jeannie began her Zillow browsing adventures, one particular cabin with acreage, that was outside of our budget continued to pop up. Jeannie would delete it and then it would come back. At some point the price began to drop, and drop, and drop. On our way back into town one weekend after attending a wedding, I convinced Jeannie to drive by the cabin just because we had the time. Immediately we fell in love and reached out to our realtor buddy. It was more of a shot in the dark but it couldn’t hurt, right? We held our breath for the next month totally expecting someone to get it under contract before us or the sellers not accepting our offer. It had already been reduced significantly so we knew our chances of a lowball offer were slim. We offered the most that we could get a loan for. They accepted! I still get anxious thinking back to that month, October 2014. Many years and two children later, here we are, just as excited everyday to make the long trek up our mountain as we were that August of 2014, and now we are happy to offer a similar experience to you, without having to buy the place. Never stop dreaming! Hope to see you soon, cheers! Learn more about this land: Pitch your tent in the grass on the tip top of the mountain or park your camper in the flat gravel spot with a fire pit just below the top with beautiful views overlooking Cane Creek. In the fall and winter enjoy 360 degree views and in the summer enjoy the shade and cool breeze while relaxing & snacking on wild wine berries and black raspberries. What you will not find is light pollution, traffic, and a desire to leave the mountain. Fall asleep to the calls of the hoot owl and wake up to the knocking of the wood pecker. If & when you decide to explore the area, be sure to checkout Hickory Nut Gap farm just 7.9 miles away & Whistle Hop Brewery 7.7 miles away. Turgua brewery just down on Cane Creek road is only 6.2 miles from camp. Cane Creek Valley Farm as well as the Cane Creek Community swimming pool is also at the base of camp just in case the kids need a dip of ice cream or a dip in the pool. Justus Apple Orchard is only 10 miles down the mountain towards Hendersonville. We love taking our kids there. Coweeta Creek Campground

We have chickens, bees, vegetable gardens, and a small fruit orchard. We recently added a 1/2 mile trail, called Turkey Foot Trail, through the wooded area. The campground is somewhat secluded (some neighbors across the creek), but only 15 minutes from Franklin, NC and 15 minutes from Clayton, GA with plenty of shopping/restaurants. Once you are at the campground you won't want to leave the beauty of the creek! Strong Wifi is available at all sites. Network password will be provided before arrival. Property History: Coweeta Creek Campground WAS a 20 site, thriving, family/church oriented campground from the 1970's that was later sold, then neglected.
