This is a rural and country property, surrounded by nature and creeks, with direct access to Cidra Lake. Drive carefully, but all vehicles can get access without problems. Vehicles like a Toyota Camry, an SUV, or a 4x4. Other things to note Use only Google Maps to drive to the property; you can get lost if you use other apps like Apple Maps. Remember this is a rural area with just a few traffic lights; we highly recommend arriving early the 1st time to get familiarized with the area.Wi-Fi: There is no Wi-Fi signal in Grandpa's house, but if you need to use it, you can access the Wi-Fi service close to the main house.You will be in the middle of 5 acres of land, in total contact with nature and in an emblematic property from the 50's. In simple words: there are no screens on the windows, and you sleep with a mosquito net. Insects are a vital part of the flora and fauna, and you can see a wide variety of them in the surroundings, from lizards to fireflies. In the same way, and despite the fact that we have an exterminator visit every 2 weeks, sometimes they can be inside the grandfather's house. This campsite is a must-visit on the island. There’s a trail inside the property that leads to a stunning waterfall where you can enjoy the view and even take a swim. The campsite also has chickens, a horse, and a pig, it's clear the host truly loves this place and has decorated it with so much care. She even brought us delicious coffee in the morning, which was incredibly sweet. I’d definitely come back the next time I visit Puerto Rico!

They went out of their way to make sure we had a safe place to park our 22ft camper van, even letting us in after regular hours, after all our other overnight camping options had fallen through. Great communication and a nice spot in the jungle next to running water and plenty of coquis to sing us to sleep. Will definitely consider coming back for more than just an overnight stay next time!

Truly amazing spot to camp. The river borders thousands of acres of protected tropical rainforest. A trail takes you to an epic swimming hole and to a beautiful waterfall!! The bathrooms have the best hot showers on the island. I never ran out of hot water. The covered camping area kept me nice and dry and the stove was handy. The farm and chickens and horse are nice. The hosts couldn't have been nicer! My favorite camp!

It is difficult to overstate just how wonderful this place is. Andres gave us clear and concise directions on how to get there, via pre-recorded video, and that made it easy to get there. The drive itself was marvelous because for the most part you are high on the mountains. We are avid campers and brought everything we needed but have to say that the outdoor kitchen/gazebo was pretty darn cool and convenient! There is a stove, kitchen sink, a “fogón” (cooking fire pit) as well as a full size refrigerator. This was more “Glamping” than “camping”. We camp every month on full moon as I love to watch the moonrise as well as the moonset and this place was particularly special for that. As someone that grew up in Puerto Rico but lived most of my adult life outside the island, what I can tell you about the area is that the residents are extremely friendly, well manners and considerate that I am otherwise accustomed to. Everybody we saw whether driving on or driving out would wave at us, as if we were known to them. I hope you try this place and when you do, I am confident you are definitely going to enjoy it.

Tomas was great! The place was great! We stayed in his private camping area with an amazing view. We had a rainy first day but that didn’t stop us from enjoying the site. Tomas made sure we had everything we needed. Even though we were tent camping, it was nice having a working shower, toilet, and sink near by. The pool is in just a great location to enjoy such a breath taking view. His art is very custom and overall just a great vibe. He has a little slice of heaven here.

This was our second time camping at Hacienda Monterrey in Luquillo, Puerto Rico, and it’s quickly become one of our favorite places. It’s easy to get to from the main road, but once you’re there, it feels like a peaceful escape into nature. One of the things that makes this place stand out is the host, Gerardo. He’s incredibly kind and attentive — both times we’ve stayed, he personally came by to make sure everything was in order and that we were comfortable. That kind of hospitality really goes a long way and makes the experience even more special. The campground is simple and clean, with no electricity, which actually adds to the relaxing, unplugged vibe. It does have clean restrooms and hot showers, which we really appreciated. Toilet paper is provided (a small detail, but super helpful!), and parking is available and conveniently close. My 9-year-old son told me this is his favorite place in the world right now, and he’s already asking to go back. As a parent, there’s no better review than that. We’ll definitely be returning. If you’re looking for a quiet, family-friendly spot to connect with nature, Hacienda Monterrey is a hidden gem worth discovering.

We spent an unforgettable night at Jubilee Campsite. The place is beautiful, peaceful, and surrounded by nature. What truly made our stay special was the attention Tomás gave to my children during the art class. He was kind, patient, and made them feel valued from the very beginning. He guided them with care, encouraged their creativity, and turned the activity into something magical. Watching them so happy and engaged was the highlight of our trip. You can clearly see that Tomás loves what he does, and his passion shines through in every detail. The campsite is well maintained, the pool is amazing, and the views are breathtaking. It is the perfect place to disconnect and enjoy meaningful time as a family. We are definitely coming back. Thank you for everything.
