The camp site sits at the top of a hill and provides a secluded flat site to pitch your tent or park your van/truck camper/truck top tent. You will have this space to yourself. All four campsites have creek access and come with picnic table garbage can and fire ring and Firewood is usually available. There are two Porta potty‘s one located at each end of the sites. There are trails for hiking which extends along an abandoned railroad bed and also up into State game lands and into the deep woods. The hiking in the woods is on an incline. But the hiking on the railroad bed is pretty unintense. There is parking at each site. I loved my stay in this cabin; everything was beautiful with the snow and very cozy. The only thing is that I went at the beginning of winter and it was very cold. If you're looking for a place without internet and want to be away from the city, it's perfect for you.

Everything was awesome. The little cabin stayed so warm and was the perfect size for our family of three plus our doggo! The land was beautiful. Theresa and her husband were both so kind. We loved meeting their farm of animals. And she was easy to get a hold of and easy to chat with. We will definitely be going back. The porta potty is a short walk and they are working on a bunch of upgrades in the cabin too. The emus are wonderful and sweet, we visited them multiple times a day. I could go on and on. 100% recommended for an upgraded camping experience. Look forward to trying them out in warmer weather too!

Weekend Trip to Riverside Hideaway

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the cabin! It was cozy, peaceful, and surrounded by beautiful nature. We loved relaxing together in the quiet atmosphere and enjoying the little touches that made the cabin feel so welcoming. A perfect getaway for us to unwind and recharge!

I stopped at Karen’s cabin as a place to sleep on a road trip, and it was lovely! Not too far off highway, the cabin felt secluded yet safe, and the property was wonderful. I would definitely stay here again!

Upon arrival we were greeted by Mr ,Russ the GM. The cabin fire was prelit for us and it was really toasty. Thanks Russ! We recommend bringing lots of water and lanterns as there is no running water or electricity at the saw mill. This is a wonderful place to go and enjoy ,

I really loved the place and the experience, the bed very comfortable and Theresa very kind and attentive. Definitely a place you want to visit if you need to think, write, get your mind together. Will be coming back !

1 night at Dude, Girl! Ranch.

We had a perfect fall Sunday followed by a rainy Monday that somehow made the cabin even better. Warm, quiet, and easy to settle into. Jennifer was kind and responsive, and everything felt thoughtful without trying too hard. We found and brought an old CD player, a crate of our old scratched mix CDs, and ended up listening by the fire, laughing at what used to be our favorite songs and what stuck. Turns out, that’s about as good as it gets. Highly recommend bringing a few of your own instant time machine.

I loved the little cabinette because it lets so much light in. It was a great place to stash my stuff too. It’s a beautiful location and convenient setup, not far from civilization. Fire pit and cooking grate worked well for me. Karen also makes a wonderful breakfast at the B&B which campers can opt into. Next time I’m headed up that way, I hope to try out the B&B for a night.

Great place to stay! Russ is a kind and patient guy I got to the campsite really late and still he met me there and showed me where I was gonna be staying and I really appreciated that! Lots of hiking and scenery, great patio on the back of the cabin, comes with a fridge and microwave for any food you bring. There is no insulation so whatever the temperature it is outside it will also be inside, except in the summer there is a window unit, and it’s a tin roof so rain is extra loud on the roof. Other than these things I would recommend anyone stay here for a weekend of solitude or a family getaway!
