We give guests more than a pleasant visit and peaceful rest. We'll give you a lasting memory — a story you can tell others when you get back home. Or many stories. (They pack easily and weigh nothing.)
The space
We love to design spaces that are not in a box. We want to give our guests an experience that is meaningful and memorable.

We've tried to anticipate your questions, so scroll down and read our description here before inquiring about details.

We use a dynamic pricing model based on four years of bookings, so the dates you ask for will give you an accurate cost, which may differ from the generic listing price. Summer, weekends, track meets — we allow demand to influence rates.

"Enchanting, magical, uplifting" -- those are words used recently by our guests, describing this wonderful space. Twelve sides, windows all around, surrounded by nature, yet close to town.

Picture a cabin made of cedar and glass. It has wi-fi, heated or cooled to your comfort, a super-comfortable queen-sized bed with memory foam, a chair for reading, a fold-out desk, and a table and a coffee pot. All the bare essentials, in one place.

(Not in all the the photos — we've added lush, room-darkening curtains all around for privacy and to aid those who prefer sleeping later.)

It's situated to be rustic and inspirational, nestled into the back corner of a deep lot. There are fruit trees all around and a seasonal pond that attracts ducks in the spring and early summer. Depending on the season, you can listen to birds and frogs from inside the roundhouse, or cross the footbridge to the south-facing deck behind the workshop -- another private space for your "get away from the bustle" contemplations. Or enjoy the firepit.

Follow the wending path to the front fence and everything is nearby.

The bathroom (with tub and shower) is at the rear of the main house, right near the back door (about 30 yards from the roundhouse). It's private and only barely shared. (We have another bath-and-a-half elsewhere in the house.) We have a clever curtaining and folding wall system that can give you extra privacy if you want it. You'll be left as alone as you choose to be during your visit.

With a little bit of planning, we're happy to share our full kitchen with you during daylight hours. Same with the laundry room.

We're sharing our home with you, so we ask you to be respectful of that. We love to brag about Eugene and Oregon, and we're happy to share what we have and what we know.

We cannot guarantee that your visit with us will be enchanted and uplifting, but that's what we hope it will be. We'll do what we can to make it so.

Our listings include a 9.5% room tax assessed by the city of Eugene. Those added funds are used to promote tourism and other good things around Lane County.
Guest access
Late arrivals are easy to facilitate. The house is easy to find, even in the dark. The street is well lit and we have path lights to guide you to the roundhouse. Since it's a completely separate building, there's no need to worry about waking anyone. "We'll leave the light on for you," as they say.

What will you need? Fridge, microwave, coffee pot, toaster oven -- all yours. Laundry, full kitchen, yard, neighborhood -- shared. (Just ask.) We have gorgeous red velvet theatre curtains and a clever folding glass wall to divide spaces, but the intent is to remain permeable for hospitality's sake.
Other things to note
MISCELLANEOUS NOTES:

#1. After over eight years on airbnb, this space is often "taken" for most times. If you'd like to try a similarly inventive space, on the same property, employing much of the same geometry (but larger and self-contained), check out our aloft apartment.

#2. Before you confirm your reservation, please double-check certain details. Have you inputted the correct dates and are you reserving for the correct number of (human) guests? This is important because those details may alter the price you're being quoted. (We give solo travelers the lowest possible rate. All others pay a bit more.)

#3. Our check-in time is usually (anytime after) 3 pm. Occasionally, we can accommodate early arrivals, or luggage drop-off before the space is cleaned. We always appreciate knowing roughly when you expect to arrive. That helps us prepare.

#4. We send all our guests an email with detailed instructions and up-to-the-minute details for their visit. Please include your best email address when you make your reservation.

#5. We have a (slight) presence on social media, so if you feel the urge to take pictures and share it with your friends, we'd love it if you'd tag us at "oreroundhouse" and "dksez"....

#6 We welcome dogs and other pets, but we ask for a couple of things. First, do let us know when you're bringing critters with you. Second, please don't let them roam our yard unleashed. The fence has holes. Third, leaving pets unattended for long stretches inside hasn't worked very well. Gnawed furniture, yelping, too much hair on the bedspread -- that sort of thing. We have two dog parks within walking distance, so there will be opportunities for them to enjoy themselves too!

Alsea Valley Farm

Our farm is nestled at the end of Honey Grove Valley in the lush coastal mountains.   The creek meanders through our seven acre property.  The north side contains a field, small orchard, greenhouses and barn.  The south side is steep and wooded with healthy riparian.  An extension to the Honey Grove trail leads out of the property accessing a user maintained hiking/mountain biking trail with 1.5, 3, 5 and 7 mile loop options.  

Other nearby activities include hiking and mountain biking in Mary's Peak and Alsea Falls recreational area.  Access to the Alsea River is located 1.5 miles from the property on Honey Grove Road or at nearby Clemmons Park.  

The guest cabin has two rooms and can sleep (4) guests comfortably and up to (6) guests.  It contains (2) queen size beds, and one pull out couch. One bed is in a loft accessed by a ship ladder.  There is a small kitchen and an un-attached bathhouse.  The toilet is non-flush, composting.  From the designated parking area there is a 200 foot walk along a gravel path to the cabin.  

Other features include a fire pit, wood fired sauna, and creek access for cold dips.  Internet is available in the cabin.  There is a Level 1 vehicle charger available for guests.

The property also contains a host residence.  The area around the residence is for the hosts. 

The cabin and the property are very quaint and inviting but also very rustic. Do not be surprised to see a few or many spiders, slugs and other bugs. There are occasional bunnies, wild turkeys, Garter Snakes by the ponds and newts on the trails.  Please maintain good situational awareness when enjoying the property as structures and grounds may have some inherent hazards. 

The barn is off limits.  Greenhouse and gardens are fine to explore as long as doors and gates are closed and dogs are kept out.  Please refrain from harvesting produce and/or eggs unless accompanied or given permission from hosts directly.

Carsners Tree Farm (CTF)

Come and enjoy
an 8 acre tree farm
located near Lebanon, Oregon. We purchased this property in 2019.
This is a tree farm with 1000+ planted Christmas trees.
We put in campsites, a cabin, a barn loft, and a fire pit. We offer these to guests when not being used by our family and friends.

Wildlife includes deer, turkey, and quail & 3 active beehives.

Guests are welcome to
fresh eggs from the chicken coop.
We are fully fenced and gated for your family and pets protection.

South Santiam River is less than 1 mile for fishing, kayaking, or rafting.
 Foster reservoir is 30 minutes away and Green Peter Reservoir
is 45 minutes away for boating, swimming, and fishing.

There is a loop exercise trail that circles the property and offers 30-degree climbs. You can also play games inside or basketball outside.

We thought it would be great to have family gatherings and get togethers here and think
of this as our slice of heaven, and hope others enjoy it as well.

Our community firepit is 6ft across and well away from flammable trees.. We build large fires when the fire danger is low and small fires when the fire danger is high. We are a tree farm so no open fires in campsites please. firewood is provided.

Santiam Serenity


Enjoy the calm, quiet serenity of the South Santiam River. Get back to the basics here and just relax and enjoy nature. We have a small cabin with a bunk bed, and a camping toilet is provided. Bring your tent or camper for extra room. 

Our campsite is nestled among the trees next to the river. There's lots to enjoy.  Do you like hiking? Silver Falls State Park is only 36 miles away. Boating? You can put in your kayak/canoe at Gills Landing in Lebanon and float down the river back to the campsite. Fishing? Bring your fishing pole and try catch and release in our pond. Swimming? Take a swim in the cool water. Of course, you can just relax by the water's edge and enjoy the tranquility provided by the soothing flow of the river. 

This 192 sq. ft. cabin is very basic. There is no shower, but there is a portable toilet with a wash station located outside. We do provide a full 5-gallon water cooler for drinking since there is no running water. For cooking there is a 24" Blackstone 2-burner griddle, and small propane cans are provided. Also, the cabin is furnished with a small supply of pots and pans. There is a battery that provides lighting, and phone charging is available in the cabin. During the cooler months, there is a small wood stove for heating, and firewood is provided. The cabin sleeps 2, but there is room for a camper and/or tents. This campsite is meant to be very simple, so you should plan on bringing whatever you may need/want for camping.

Ruby’s Cabin

Grandpa had a dream of building cabins for his granddaughters. Ruby is the first grandchild and this cabin was built for her. Jay and Tamara (Ruby’s grandparents) bought this acreage in 1998 and are excited to share their special place with other people who love the outdoors while being with family and friends.This is a rustic, off the grid, cabin experience that you will never forget. Almost 200 acres of forest are available to explore. Winter, our second granddaughter is expecting grandpa to get her cabin finished soon.Cabin with loft can sleep 6. Think of it as camping with walls and extras thrown in. Air beds provided, bring your own sleeping bags. Outhouse provided. Additional tents and people are allowed for an additional 15.00 per tent/2 people.&nbsp;Additional RV’s are allowed for 15.00 per RV. Area for tents and RV’s is large grassy wooded area. Great for large gatherings of friends or family who enjoy camping.&nbsp;Fire pit and bar-b-que provided, pavilion for shelter at fire pit area is in the process of construction. Mountain bike/hiking trails run throughout property as well as National forest trails within a few miles.&nbsp;North Fork River swimming 10 minutes away. Golf course across Westoak Rd. Sit on the porch and enjoy the solitude only minutes from Oakridge. Grocery store, etc... all available in Oakridge. Beautiful, safe and secluded. Elk, deer, and other forest critters live here too.&nbsp;Well behaved dogs are welcome.

Mini Farm Cottage and Gardens

Updated hundred-year-old farmhouse with modern comforts on 5 serene acres surrounded by beautiful gardens, expansive green lawn, and picnic area in the center of Willamette farmlands. Chickens & ducks roam free while goats & horses graze the pasture. Enjoy fruits in season; cherries, apricots, berries, pears, apples, grapes. Float or swim our local river, hike the 10 waterfalls at Silver Falls, and visit local wineries. Portland is 60 minutes, the coast or mountains a little more than an hour, or Salem 20 mins.

Remodeled 100-year-old farmhouse with 3 bedrooms, one downstairs with a king bed and two upstairs with queen beds. Two full bathrooms, one downstairs and one upstairs. Large fully equipped kitchen with a dining nook and large dining table. Large laundry room with washer and dryer. Lovely patio with a fire pit nestled under a fig tree and a wisteria vine. Cozy Living Room with large screen TV featuring Netflix, Prime, Disney, and HBO. Office set up with the keyboard, 19" screen, and fast internet. Picnic table in the garden area for meals or morning coffee. Indoor toys and games for families and kids.

Guest access
Approximately three of the five acres is accessible. There is a private home and a tiny house on the other side of the property. We ask that you do not enter the pastures.

Other things to note
The grounds and picnic area and well equipped kitchen are well suited to outdoor daytime events. Additional deposit is required and additional charges for groups above the six person maximum. Maximum capacity for overtime stay remains at 6.

Relax and revive in this artistic 'cabin' with wonderful views of historic Glenn Creek from every room. An architectural dream, you enter this lodge style home through a pivoting hobbit style front door with hardware from the 1800's. Highlights of this original home include a gourmet kitchen with labradorite granite counters, 800 year old juniper tree spiral stair case, huge beams and exposed rafters, a sauna, and a romantic wood stove. Also each upstairs bedroom has a hanging bed with three 8 foot skylights above for indoor star gazing. Original artworks from local artists are throughout the home. Many pleasantries await the curious such as embedded fossils in the cracked mud walls.Nestled amongst towering fir and cedar trees, with windows everywhere, you'll feel and see nature's presence. This home site has a remarkably peaceful way about it. 
Recently featured in Southern Oregon Magazine and KCBY 11 TV's ~In Focus~ 'Goin' Green' and Oregon's Solar Home Tour, this is a unique 'green' home. This home was built with environmentally friendly materials. Building with little impact on the surroundings was very important to us during construction. The myrtle hardwood floor in the kitchen and living room was milled on site which came from trees that stood where the house is now. Same story for the beautiful maple flooring in the ½ bath. All of the large beams and fir flooring came from two 4' thick 104 year old douglas fir trees which also stood and were milled where the house is now. The fir trees sprouted after the last forest fire that came through the canyon. One of our neighbors fell a sixty five year old redwood that was over six feet thick! We used some of it as a wonderful wainscot paneling throughout the house. All of the finishes used are no or low VOC. Surrounding the house is native vegetation, huge trees and a few herbs and spices for cooking.
You'll enjoy the fully equipped kitchen with labradorite granite counters. The kitchen island has a new five burner gas stove with a convection oven and warming oven. The island has plenty of granite and wood counter space. Hanging from the exhaust hood are stainless, non-stick, and cast iron cookware. We also provide shade grown fair trade coffee and a grinder, espresso machine, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, utensils, chef knives, glasses and frosty cocktail glasses in the freezer. The dining room table has a river view and can seat six comfortably. There is also seating for three at the island bar. From the kitchen you can visit with the folks in the living room thanks to the open floor plan. Beside the wood stove are two chairs and the futon couch with reading lamp. A CD changer, TV with a DVD player and VHS machine are in the downstairs bedroom. Bring your favorite videos or browse our selection of movies. 
The property has 150 feet of creek frontage with great views of Glenn creek, the forest and distant cliffs. Enjoy wildlife viewing with River Dippers, Chipmunks, Kingfishers, Great Blue Herons, Screech Owls, Pileated Wood Peckers, Elk, an occasional Bald Eagle or River Otter and other wildlife from the house and back deck. Build a fire and have lunch on the nearby picnic table and benches.

Territorial Farm Stay

Welcome to Territorial Farm Stay and Stable, a small farm in the beautiful South Willamette Valley of Oregon, between Eugene and Corvallis, about 2 hours south of Portland. We are an equestrian property with a stable offering a variety of equestrian activities, and we offer both a Farm Stay cottage and an RV Glamping option.  We are in horse and wine country, with some 10 wineries within 15 minutes and many more within a 30 to 45 minute radius.  And we are surrounded by an outdoor recreational paradise. 

Your Farm Stay experience offers the opportunity to connect with a horse through adding on a Horsin' Around Experience or a private riding lesson to your stay. There are plenty of opportunities to hang out with the horses, help out with barn chores, help with garden/yard maintenance, enjoy the backyard fire pit (fire danger permitting) and s'mores or just sit back and watch the animals and enjoy a good book or a relaxed conversation.

We are pet friendly for well behaved pets with an extra fee.  Both accommodations have a two-night minimum and a cleaning fee, along with 10% Oregon lodging tax.

We are working cleaning up forest for safety in fire season. Clearing dead and unhealthy trees and brush. Also looking to improving the land and making it healthy for the wild critters and more enjoyable for everyone.  Apologies for any inconveniences it may cause while land is being restored and grass grows back in some spots. 

We've opened up a bigger space to the creek and going to Make bigger and better ponds and swimming holes. It's much needed. 

Thank you having patience with us as we are making improvements. 

It will make camping experience more enjoyable as well for the future. 

Also,  We are putting up a 20' Tipi this weekend and we plan on fixing up the inside proper and will be renting it out to those interested in sleeping in a Tipi. It will most likely sleep 6-8 depending on bedding I can fit inside. 

Until then I'm happy to rent it out empty like a big tent. Sleeping 6-8 but you will need to bring your own cots, bedding etc. Just text me for details.  Mahalo so much for your patience while we do these improvements. 🤙🏽🌺

25 years I’ve been here on this secret land Located in the Willamette Valley. We have tons of wildlife as well as animals here on the land.  

We have  we have drum circles, sweats, gatherings, group bonfires  where you can sit out around the fire and see every star in the sky . 

 This was a Christmas tree farm years ago, and I have let it go natural. I’ve planted new trees and now we live amongst our own forests . 

 We hope to one day have tree houses, earth ships, Tipis  and log cabins to rent. We are open to RVs and fifth wheels but no plug-ins yet. We’re a work in progress   So it’s tent camping for now .  Hope you come and visit us

There are Rv and 5th wheel spots but you must be self contained.

We are almost 20 acres of county and forests, about 24 miles NW of Famous Eugene Oregon, And we are nestled in between Fern Ridge reservoir and triangle Lake, headed to the Florance coast. We have 2 year round running creeks and 3 beautiful forests.&nbsp;

We are a work in progress, but we have a year-round working farm. We grow our own food, flowers and animals. We are currently working on a big outdoor kitchen, where we will have pizza ovens, canning facilities and a beautiful place to gather in the woods. Again still a work in progress.

Some spots have fire pits. Again depending on time of year and heat conditions. Because we have so many trees, we have to make sure no fires are to close to any tree's. 

Again, please Ask before burning. No random burning unless oked by land owners. Thank you for for helping to keep everyone safe.

 We have numerous ponds throughout the property and swimming holes.  We turned the 4 stall barn into a music room where we gather and host events.  Soon we will have designated Spots, equipped with fire rings. We will have teepees, tree houses, glamping tents. As of now we have room for numerous big groups spots for tent camping.  Soon we’ll have plug-ins for RV and fifth wheel travelers.&nbsp;

We have alot of space to camp and still have your privacy. 

 Currently we have an out house and hose shower and you can also use the potty Under the Star's. 

We provide Toilet paper and try to keep stocked but, just ask if outhouses are out of paper.

There are lovely walking trails throughout the property and tranquil sitting areas. We will update our progress as it happens. Hope to see you soon..

Remember to bring your own cooking equipment like grills. There's a cleaning station near shower. 

Water is straight from the well and beautiful drinking water.

Woodland Hills Ranch

We are located on what used to be one of the stagecoach stops on the Applegate Trail. With 80 acres of land to spread out on you can be sure to find a peaceful and private getaway with amazing views. 
This property holds some interesting history with a Trading tree where swap meets between the local native tribes would gather and bring their firs and other goods to trade with the white traders of the time. 


This is one of the main reasons we bought this property. The Sunsets are Amazing!

Riverhouse

Our family "Riverhouse" is one of my favorite places in the world. We use it to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday professional life. The town of&nbsp;Harrisburg is such a cool, easy-going, quaint place to spend some time. Accessibility is one of its' key assets. Harrisburg has a few family owned places to eat at, and a few shops to explore. It's a one light town, but that is why we love it here.&nbsp;The river is my favorite part. I&nbsp;sit for hours on end, watching the water flow by. Fishing, rafting/floating, and wading in the water are all fun things to do here.
