Hi and welcome to Picknik Place LLC! This is a 20 acre farm, so there is plenty of land to roam free and explore, as well as having your privacy from the primary residents. With this spot, you are nestled under a juniper tree with a lava rock backdrop and can watch the sun dip below the volcanos in the distance. This spot is very simple and tucked away. While feeling remote and removed from the Bend tourism, it only takes 15 minutes to get downtown, where there are ample restaurants, shops, coffehouses, etc. It takes 7 minutes to get to Trader Joe's and Home Depot, and 10 minutes to get to St. Charles Hospital. Heads up- as many places in central Oregon, Picknik Place gets pretty dusty and dry in the summer months.

Learn more about this land: Pull up and let the vacation begin. The Lake Billy Chinook area has everything for the perfect camp trip. There is bike riding, boating, fishing, hiking, ATV riding, swimming, kayaking, lounging and enjoying nature. When you arrive just park in your site. We have 30-amp service but no RV septic hookup. The site is gravel so you may need to level your rig. We have a fantastic outdoor area complete with couch, loungers, BBQ and fire pit. The high desert offers some of the most amazing views of the Cascade Mountains with clear blue skies and some of the best star gazing around. Casa del Lago is a dark sky site. You can hang out down at the lake and find a spot on the beach to have a picnic. You can also bring your boat or rent one at the Cove Palisades Marina and enjoy water sports. Hosts live in house on property. We are located 4 miles from the lake and are nestled in a rural country neighborhood.

Weekend Trip to Rags To Rescues Sanctuary

We stayed in the Bunkhouse. The listing definitely undersells how beautiful this place is. Super spacious, well appointed kitchen, super comfy everything, awesome hot tub, and animal friends! When we weren't relaxing or staring at the stars while having a soak, we got to know the cute critters that call this place home. Bonnie is a fantastic host and I love that the proceeds from our stay went to the sanctuary. We will definitely be staying again.

Susan's place is phenomenal. It's a fantastic location right above Billy Chinook Lake. It has a sweet little cabin you can stay in and a tent site area complete with everything you could need for a weekend away. Her attention to detail is impeccable. Each area has outdoor lounging areas, propane fire pits, outdoor cooking areas complete with supplies, a lovely hot outdoor shower, and a cozy hot tub that's perfect for late night soaking and star gazing. She was the best host you could ask for, so friendly, helpful, and responsive.

Weekend Trip to Casa Del lago 2 Lake Billy Chinook

This was such a beautiful and serene little place! There are multiple little areas for campers but we happened to have the place all to ourselves which is just how I’d prefer it. We had our camper but we could have shown up with nothing but our tents, blankets, clothes and food. There are camping supplies, soft lighting, comfortable outdoor furniture, a clean porta potty, clean outdoor shower (with instant hot water!), an outdoor sink with running water, shade and privacy. Even though the major Flat fire was right next to us and we lost water for a bit, it was one of my most favorite camping trips! We were right near Lake Billy Chinook & Three Rivers and a little store/gas station. Susan is the best host! She is so kind and responsive and it’s apparent she takes great pride in the look and care of this magical little place. We will definitely be back!

Me, my partner, and our dog really enjoyed our stay at Cabin Del Courtyard. Susan is so communicative and thoughtful. We enjoyed all of the accommodations, especially the Nexgrill, hot tub (once it cooled down at night), and the fire pit. The hosts have really thought of everything that you need and prioritize their guests privacy. We would love to stay and visit the area again.

My daughter and I stayed here after three days hiking. It’s a quiet, spacious spot on green grass, with privacy and a clean bathroom. WiFi was a plus and worked great. Don’t let the title fool you, the cows grazing around with the calves playing were a great part of the experience and not a bother at all. 10/10
