Welcome to The Bullock Ranch in the heart of The Owyhee Canyonlands, we look forward to meeting you. We are a small 5 acre ranch located off Hwy 78 (45 mins from Downtown Boise) with many outdoor recreational activities nearby. We have 2 dogs named Breezy and Cinder who will greet you upon arrival and we have three horses named Clyde, Grease and Partner. Sancho is our wonderful friendly miniature donkey who will be begging for scratches and lots of attention. We also have free range chickens and a friendly rooster named King Henry who will get your morning going! We hope you book with us and enjoy your stay!! Here are some nearby attractions: Wilson Creek Trail Head for mountain biking and hiking, ATV access right from the campsites, Givens Hot Springs and CJ Strike Reservoir just a few minutes away. Spend a day up in Silver City and enjoy the old mining history, ATV access. The Owyhee County Historical Museum is 2 miles down the road and is amazing depository of history, a must see. Mountain View Motor Rentals in Murphy has ATV rentals available to enjoy. Take a short drive and try to catch a glimpse of the wild mustang herd nearby. Campsite Descriptions: We are only offering 2 sites at this time. We have a level tent site and a RV site with 30 amp electrical hook up. We do charge $5.00 a day for electrical hookup.  Round about drive way for easy access of trailers. Campfires will be allowed except in the case of a burn ban. We will have 1 open fire pit at site #1  and 1 covered fire pit available for use at site #2. Please bring your own firewood. Refunds: We will set the refund policy for 100% up to 3 days prior to check in. Please do a check on the weather outlook at least 3 days before you arrive to see if the weather will be nice for at least part of your stay. If you cancel within 3 days before your arrival, I am sorry but the system won't provide a refund. If you need to cancel, please cancel at least 3 days prior to your arrival

Sweet Pepper Ranch is a horse ranch nestled between a town and country. We raise mustangs and Quarter Horses and teach the Western discipline of ranch riding. We manage our land in an eco-friendly horse manner--composting/manure management, non-toxic pest control, pasture management with rotational grazing, drought-tolerant native landscaping, mud and dust control, wildlife enhancement, equine enrichment--and more! We also offer farm tours, RV/LQ parking, and horse motel accommodations. Guests are invited to enjoy our solar heated pool, outdoor patios, wireless internet, evening bon fires (weather and time-permitting), horse farm tours (by appointment only, separate fee) and our friendly ranch atmosphere. Coffee and fresh, local bakery pastry included for breakfast, brought warm to your tent at about 7am. We are nestled in a rural agricultural setting yet close to stores and conveniences. We raise and train horses and work all day to exercise and train our horses as well as run the day-to-day aspects of running a large horse property. Our equestrian facilities include individual paddocks with attached runs (12’ x 52’), automatic waterers, feeders, rubber stall mats, a 200' x 300' outdoor sand arena, a 72’ x 120’ indoor arena, two round pens (one large), numerous trail obstacles, large-scale permanent outdoor obstacles, an outdoor washrack, as well as parking, port-a-potty, arena bleachers, and picnic table areas. Nearby activities abound from visiting rodeos and wineries to trail riding at sunset near waterfalls or hiking painted desert canyons. There are wildlife refuges to visit, hot springs to relax in, wilderness mountains to explore, scenic rivers to raft, railways to travel along--and North America’s largest concentration of breeding raptors to dazzle you. We are close to wine country, hiking, shopping, fishing, and general enjoyment of our beautiful state. we have horses of our own and hey our field three times a year. We also live next-door to happy Valley orchards, which is a very fun walk to take around the cherry trees and enjoy the sunsets.
