My family stayed in the cabin and it was very peaceful and comfortable! Basil’s description of the cottage was right on. She was very nice and made us feel comfortable to ask if we needed anything. I would recommend!

I loved the tent camping at Nikki's land! Nikki's supportive, kinda and helpful! The campgrounds and restrooms were clean. There's nice creek alongside the campgrounds and it's truly an adventurous experience! I loved it!

Weekend Trip to Trace Space KY

We really can’t say enough good things about this space and the host. The space is incredibly relaxing and comfortable. The birdwatching is amazing. And the garden was beautiful. My wife spent the weekend identifying and researching all of the plants in the garden. We were visited each day by a variety of birds including (but not limited to) Red Headed Woodpeckers, Orchard Orioles, Brown Thrashers, Cardinals, Cedar Waxwings, and many others. MJ was incredibly friendly and accommodating, answering any question we had very quickly. She is simply the most thoughtful and kind host. We highly recommend staying here.

Weekend Trip to Family Farm Experience

Wow! It was a lovely experience Judy was amazing and my little brother really enjoyed the toy playroom and all the activities that he was able to do!!! We will definitely be back!! My only suggestions is to put out like a Howell Cattle Company sign because it was a little hard to find and if your taking directions to get there do them to Howell Cattle Company because it’ll take you directly there instead of the address recommended here (I don’t know if it was only our experience but the address provided here took us the wrong way)!

This spot is a great place to camp. Very private and primitive. The sites are all along the river but from a couple of the sites, you do have to walk a little ways down the way to access the river. Either way though, it’s a really nice place to stay and great stars. The hosts are super duper friendly and loved being able to rent canoes and kayaks right there.

Weekend Trip to Family Farm Experience

For a family with small kids, this couldn’t have been a better setup! My kids(5 & 7 years old) got to hold baby animals, swim, jump on trampolines, play on playgrounds, and run around until their little legs just couldn’t run anymore. This area is so private, we just had a handful of other families camping so we didn’t have to stress about heavy traffic or people. The hosts couldn’t have been nicer, the true definition of southern hospitality. They brought us so many things, went and blew up some massive bounce houses for the kids to play in, and ran to town to get ice cream everyone. My kids are already begging to go back and we’ve only been home for a few hours 😂 They had blackstones, grills, a fridge and a great covered area to eat meals and hang out. The literal only thing I’d say is you are on a working farm, you will have some animal noise around while you’re sleeping, but with a white noise machine we had zero issue sleeping through it. We went fully expecting that, and my kids were so excited to see animals it was totally worth it.

First READ THE DESCRIPTION fully- the cottage only has an outhouse; the hot tub is extra, charged by the day. The cottage was clean and cozy. The outhouse was as you would expect. The hot tub was next to the cottage, which might feel weird if you were camping elsewhere on the property and could potentially be loud to a cottage dweller. It is also next to the outdoor kitchen, which could be weird depending. The outdoor shower was so cool- never thought I'd have a reason to say that in life. Close to Serpent Mound, Peebles, etc. Hosts were responsive and as friendly as we wanted- not intrusive.

Basil was a great host; quick responses and friendly. The eggs from her farm were delicious. The places is pet friendly . The property is beautiful with blenty of trees and trails to walk. The cottage comes equipped with lots of amenities such as, stove, mini refrigerator, microwave, window unit for cooling, cooking supplies, and coffee maker. You must provide your own towels and bedding. The cottage is close to Basil's house. Thank you for sharing your property with us.

Nikki’s property is just absolutely MAGICAL! We booked a MOMs only overnight tent camping trip and even though it stormed a couple of times, it was still an AMAZING time. We got to set up camp inside the building on the property and it was perfect! We stayed warm and dry. Did some fishing, rock hunting/ painting and wildlife watching! Such a beautiful place and such a VIBE. We’re already booking our next trip and CANT WAIT! ♥️

Weekend Trip to River Refuge Retreat

My fiancé and I really enjoyed our stay! We were hit by an unexpected snowstorm and were snowed in. They were very nice and accommodating and ensured we had everything we needed for the sake of our safety to stay off the nasty roads! They even put together a very special request my fiancé had to surprise me upon arrival🥰 We will most definitely be back in the warmer months and highly recommend this wonderful cabin!!

Our little hobby farm was procured in December 2021. While we're just getting started our new home, we hope you'll enjoy sharing the orchard, meadows, forest, and swimming pond with us. "Roads go ever ever on, under cloud and under star. Yet feet that wandering have gone turn at last to home afar." Learn more about this land: Come relax atop the Appalachian foothills of southern Ohio. Enveloped in the heart of Tranquility Wilderness Area, our 11 acres has a mix of native pawpaw, peach, pear, and persimmon trees, deciduous forest, cedar woods, wild meadows, a small swimming pond, and a large, accessible field for ample flat for tents and room to play. Trails through the woods are being worked on, and facilities expanded as the seasons pass. Mellow nature’s soundtrack of birds, crickets, and frogs and enjoy an incredibly clear view of the night sky. Hiking, kayaking, biking, birding, fishing, hunting, swimming, and more are available at several state parks and historical sites like within 10-30 minutes of the farm. Amish country is likewise near at hand with several bakeries, markets, furniture shops, and greenhouses. Our primitive sites are spaced for privacy, with a gravel parking area near the cottage and additional field parking is available near the road on the opposite site of the main house. While most sites are walk-in only, the upper field sites may be able to be parked near and the Lower Meadow, Boneyard, and Oak Grove may be able to be driven to, as weather and site conditions permit.

Experience our small and private RV sites in a quiet location in the rural town of Rush, near Ashland KY. We provide full hook ups with 30 amp electric connection, water, and sewage. We also provide wifi throughout the property. We are an 8 minute drive from Rush Off-Road - a 7,000 acre off-road park with over 100 miles of trails with new trails being opened up regularly. The RV sites can accommodate up to a 50 ft RV or trailer as well as parking for an additional car or truck. The site dimensions are 30ft wide by 60ft long. Your RV/trailer must be self-contained as we do not have a toilet onsite. The sites are flat and guests will have to back-in. Pets are welcome but you must keep them on leash. Close to Adventure

My place is secluded and peaceful. Its a wooded country setting and is a primitive site. There are no facilities or utilities, there is an outhouse/self composting (follow up your business with dropping leaves in after). It may not be suitable for children as there are active brush/wood burn piles on the land. See all photos and ask questions, please. I want it to be enjoyable for all who book. It’s also noteworthy that there are dogs in the area that roam free, it’s way out in the country, there are no leash laws. I’ve never had any issues with unfriendly dogs, but always be aware. It’s at a dead end road, no thru traffic. You can stay and enjoy some amazing stargazing, (there is minimal lighting and a very dark, clear view of the night sky) and lots of peace and quiet or explore the Daniel Boone National Forest surrounding the property or travel a short distance and see so many nearby amazing areas…Red River Gorge, Natural Bridge State Park, NADA Tunnel, Sky Bridge, Cave Run Lake, Twin Knobs and Zilpo Recreation Areas, Carter Caves State Park, Grayson Lake, Rudy’s Ranch. Other things to note Host lives on same gravel road as cabin and is available for assistance most times but cabin is not readily visible to hosts so privacy is ensured.
