Our beautiful 1800’s cabin was moved to the property in the 1970’s by a former neighbor who owned the property at the time. The same neighbor also had a historic train depot moved to the property where she sold antiques out of for several years. It is not sure what the cabin was used for at that time but it certainly added charm to the antique store property. When we acquired the property years later, the cabin was in need of work. It sat for a few years until we decided to restore this lovely cabin back to it’s beautiful charm and character. Jim spent a couple years on the project working in his free time and added the porch using old wood in keeping with the natural look and feel of the cabin as well as some interior areas. Upon completion, we opened the cabin as a gift shop selling unique items including antiques, primitives and decor for a few years. We decided to transition the cabin into a place of retreat for traveling guests and still keep some of the goods we sold in the shop available for purchase. We hope that you find the cabin and property a place of peace and tranquility and will want to return. Whether passing through for a night or a few days stay, you’re always welcome in our neck of the woods. We recently moved from the next county over and are enjoying making this place ours and improvements for guests. Property is 15 minutes south of Cincinnati, close to the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Airport (CVG), close to restaurants and attractions such as Kings Island (approximately 1 hour), Creation Museum (approximately 25 minutes) and The Ark (approximately 25 minutes). Also nearby are several state parks and local favorites such as Big Bone State park, Rabbit Hash,and Riverbend. We have 2 dogs who walk with us on leash and recently added chickens and goats! Elmer and Clyde do like to wander and explore. They are very friendly. Learn more about this land: Gravel driveway leads up to both spots. We do try to keep it maintained, but frequently rain causes ruts faster than we can fill. It should not impede drivability, but use caution and feel free to ask if you have any concerns. #1 improvement planned is paving driveway. You may also experience some vehicle noise from roadway. Typically, as we are on a back road, it is fairly quiet but some drivers may be louder than others and some evenings see more traffic. Level gravel area for RV parking, second plateau available for multiple tent sites. Campfires in designated area. Deer, wild turkeys, opossums and raccoons are plentiful and often wander through. Less common are foxes and bald eagles that make their home at Doe Run Lake nearby. Main home on property but only close enough for assistance, not interference. Homesteading in progress with many improvements being added. Property is close to Creation Museum and the Ark. 10 minutes from restaurants and expressway but feels like a retreat. This cabin was great! True dark sky area was amazing. We had a wonderful view of the northern lights. Highly suggest the extra $20 for the hot tub. Everything was clean and cozy!

The back pocket on Basil's property was on a dead end road no one around no one to bother you no noises through the area oh no great spot to be camping... Glad I found it last minute to get down there and make a good hunting trip out of it... Memories will be forever

The host took care of a minor issue for us promptly, and we had a pleasant, if short, stay. We have a Chevy Express 15 passenger van, and had a little difficulty getting into site 2, but we did make it!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ One of my favorite stays ever! Home Afarm was absolutely wonderful.. everything was perfect from start to finish. The cottage was cozy and just right for us, and the outdoor seating area by the fire pit was so peaceful and relaxing! Our hosts were incredibly kind and helpful, and their chicken eggs were AMAZING! Seriously, don’t miss out on those! I also really appreciated that they offer firewood bundles for such an affordable price. We’re already looking forward to planning our next trip back to the cottage! :)

We really enjoyed camping here , the vintage airstream campers were very nice. The outdoor setting with fireplace area was an added bonus. Will definitely be back.

Two of us stayed in the Cottage. The cottage was really nicely decorated and spacious. It had a lot of windows for views with thick curtains for night. There is a full size stove and literally 28 outlets. The greenhouse shower was nice and the water got hot quickly even though it was only 39°F outside. The toilet is an outhouse vault toilet like a porta potty but it does have an electric light and lots of tp. The hosts were helpful and chill. We mostly were there to visit the mounds and caves so we didn't explore much of the property but I think you could have a nice weekend just hanging around the farm. It was also a very reasonable price and close to what we wanted to see. I would definitely recommend it

Our long weekend at GloryField Hospitality Farm in South Charleston, Ohio was nothing short of magical. From the moment we pulled into the spacious RV pad with our 40-ft Class A, we knew we had found a hidden gem—so much better than the crowded state parks. The level, gravel site overlooks the wetland pond and is well maintained, featuring full hookups (electric, water, and sewer), a picnic table, and a fire ring with convenient access to firewood. The site has good water pressure and well positioned connections relative to the pad. WiFi is available, but plan on using cellular or satellite if you need faster speeds for streaming or VPN. The catch-and-release pond located in a secluded corner of the property was a highlight of the trip. We caught several largemouth bass and crappie. We spent time just relaxing in the benches, listening to the birds chirping and the wind blowing through the fall corn. Kimberly, the host and owner of GloryField, was warm, welcoming, and full of local knowledge, she made us feel right at home—even inviting the family to experience a unique farm experience. If you’re looking for a place to get away into the heart of Ohio, add Gloryfield Hospitality Farm to your list!

We brought our 25ft travel trailer, easy parking, nice to have electric and we were able to fill water. Beautiful and peaceful farm to stay for a couple of nights getaway. Glen was so nice and we were thankful for our time here and will hopefully be back!

First place I stayed at using the Hipcamp app and was not disappointed. The grounds were very well maintained and clean. The lakes were beautiful. It was very quiet and could barely hear any road traffic. I would definitely return
