It's a lovely property with all sorts of perks and amenities. Definitely take advantage of the sauna! I had campsite 2 and it was perfect for my hammock setup. This was a great choice to help me avoid driving through Cincinnati on my road trip.

Weekend Trip to Fruitdale Farm
Sugar shack was well placed (next to a small creek with a mini waterfall... Wouldn't be surprised if the water flow is 14 gallons per minute for the waterfall)... There are trails to walk on, which is a positive.

Aimee’s land is incredible. From start the finish, we had one of the best camping experiences I’ve had in a long time. Everything is well marked and thought out. Directions are very clear and I felt very comfortable wandering around the property, given the signage and well marked trails. Having a privy was helpful if you need to use it, wished we would have used the sauna but it was a sauna outside! 😂 I ran into Aimee while walking around and she is so genuinely kind and open. She really has thought of everything - when you’re staying there, you feel like you’re part of something really special. Thank you, Aimee, for your hospitality.

Loved everything about Fruitdale Farm! Great meadows for the dogs to have a run around the pond. Shady woodland paths to hike before a sauna and hot shower. Quiet & remote feeling without being too off the beaten path!

It is a perfect place for families and people that want to feel like they're in the woods. Sometimes there's an occasional lawn mower or something to take you out of the illusion that you alone in the woods, but overall it's a great little place.

Really beautiful property, well marked short loop hiking trails around, close to Amish bakery, earthworks, and paint creek.
The space was perfect. The only downside is carrying stuff from the car across the creek. We also noticed road noise from cars/trucks at night when we hoped to escape that, but that seems common when camping in Ohio. There were also a lot of barking dogs around the property.
Highly recommend! Would definitely come back and pack lighter.

This was just a one night stop for me and was a great location for hiking in the area. Site 4 had more space than I expected too. The firewood delivery was well worth it too.

Aimee’s place is spectacular! My campsite (rustic) was perfect for my needs, although there are other sites with more amenities. The privy was very nice, with specific instructions. I especially liked the pond and the ability to take a quick swim (water was cool for late May).
Highly recommend and would love to return.

Weekend Trip to Fruitdale Farm
Even with the best of lodging, I feel like there's always that one thing that could've made it better- "it was a wonderful cabin EXCEPT FOR..." But honestly, our time at Fruitdale Farms was perfect across the board.
The space is gorgeous with so many lovely little things to see (bee hives, inoculated mushrooms logs, trails, a nice little pond with koi). And the Little Fern Cabin was so very perfect and cute. We both thought the bed was amazingly comfortable and were charmed by all the care put into the decor. The gazebo kitchen was one of the best kitchen spaces we've used - so well-stocked with everything you could possibly need in the way of spices, utensils, cookware, etc - any time we thought of something we'd forgotten to bring, it was already there. We also loved that the kitchen was its own space in a revamped aviary.
There was easy access to firewood and some tomato and berry plants for sale. We loved our time at the sauna. The printouts they leave for guests detailing places nearby to visit were so helpful - we wouldn't have known about the floating bridge/beaver dam trail if not for that (since it's not officially open and they're still working on the adjacent trail), and it was phenomenal. We also enjoyed the visits of the charming farm-cat Tangie who spent time with us in the mornings and evenings and was the sweetest little love-bug.
Thank you again, Aimee, for all the love and care you put into your place. We very much look forward to coming again.

We loved our experience at Fruitdale Farm! Great camp site tucked away with privacy and lots of space. The picnic table was great and having trees or shade and hammock hanging was an added bonus! We enjoyed exploring the property and sitting by the pond and garden. Great place to stay! Will be back!

Fruitdale Farm is where I always come back to ❤️ I love this place so much! Aimee has fostered a beautiful space that allows me to feel completely relaxed and safe. I’ve camped on almost every site but site 3 is my new favorite! So much space and easy access to the starry sky at night. Left this morning already thinking about when we can go back!

2 nights at Fruitdale Farm
this farm has been on my Hipcamp wishlist for a while now. finally, everything lined up to get to sneak away for a parts of three days to celebrate our nine year anniversary. off-grid and disconnected enough to have some peace, but just enough cell signal to handle life as needs arise.
everything is beautiful + well thought out. the other cabin and camp sites looked adorable. but I’m very grateful we got to experience sugar shack. it was nestled back in the woods with plenty of privacy. the trails are well marked. and everywhere you look are little pockets of love + intention from Aimee’s hands. you can tell how well she loves the land here.
the woods are rich with life. fungi, wildflowers, 17 year cicadas, her chickens, cats, and fish. the sauna was a real treat. the pond was fun to play in, some of the fish even let me pet them. I went to the sauna and alternated from sauna to shower, as it instructed, and felt a deep sense of peace. the walk back to the cabin was perfect.
the cabin itself has everything basic you’ll need for coziness and meals and lighting. it’s so charming. every aspect of life there became so dear, however brief.
if I have one singular thing that could be improved, it’s the shower attached to the host residence. my husband is horribly afraid of spiders. and the biggest wolf (?) spider stared him down in there preventing his time there to be as magical as mine. bugs and spiders are expected. but may be good to keep up on.

Site #4 was exactly as described in the listing. I really liked how much privacy the site had, as well as how peaceful it felt. You could hear the birds and other animals and the night sky views were great too! The whole property was well taken care of. You can really tell how much Aimee cares about what she does. The trails on the property and having wood and farm stand on site would be a bonus for a longer stay. I would not hesitate to book this site again!

We loved our weekend tent camping trip to Fruitdale Farm! It was beautiful and you can tell that the owner really puts a lot of time and love into the land. There was plenty of space in site 3 for our 3 tents (could probably have fit one more as well). It had a good amount of tree coverage and felt much more private than your typical campground camp site. The site had a fire pit and small metal grill for the fire. We were able to pull around and unload near the pond, so we only had to carry stuff for about 100 feet or so. There were also wagons that we were able to borrow to help us unload. The privies were well kept and close to our site. We went on the walking trails and the scenery was absolutely gorgeous. The pond had a ton of fish inside and they were super fun to watch. Next time, we will definitely have to purchase some of the home grown vegetables or eggs. Absolutely book if you are thinking about it!!

PARADISE!! Everything you could want is available at Fruitdale Farm. All four cabins were in pristine condition and decorate with such cute art. The kitchen was supplied with all the essentials to make a quick cup of coffee or prep an entire meal. Our daughters (ages 5-11) were able to venture off on their own and explore because all the trails are so clearly marked. The pond offers a refreshing spot to cool down in the sun and a place to gather around a fire at night to a lovely cacophony of wildlife sounds. 10/10!!
