This is a working farm. We grow forage crops (alfalfa, clover, grass), manage a cow-calf herd of 42 Criollo (Corriente), and selectively harvest timber. We are one of the few 100% grass fed/ grass-finished ranches that practices regenerative agriculture.
Guests may explore the farm, bird watch, enjoy catch-and-release fishing in a private one-acre pond, or sit by the fire. The Ohio to Erie Trail is 1/4” mile from the ranch.
You can purchase bison, beef (when in stock), and firewood at the ranch.

This secluded off-grid cabin and camping site sits on the back of a 5-acre family property and borders an 11-acre green space. This private site is approximately 1-acre and has its own driveway. The atmosphere is peaceful and private, and there are no houses or campsites nearby.
The cabin has a small solar set up with lights, fans, a composting toilet, and charging capabilities. In addition to the cabin, there are plenty of great tent sites on the property. (Tents are available for rent)
The shops, restaurants, and outdoor activities of Yellow Springs are a little over a mile and a half from the campsite. Enjoy all the village has to offer during the day, and retire to your private 1-acre campsite and relax while watching an incredible sunset or a late night bonfire. (We supply the wood!)

Great site for both tent and rv camping. We tent camped this time around. Plenty of dry firewood provided on site. The electric hookup had a 30amp to 15amp adapter for electrical needs and running water that tasted quite good too. Tranquility wildlife reserve is directly across the street - easy access. While the site is on a main road, the nights were quiet and traffic minimal. Mint mobile Cell service and still had signal.

Great site with lots of privacy. We enjoyed walking around all the trails on the property. Great setup with level, gravel pad to park on. We did not have to do any leveling. Lots of firewood to use. We enjoyed the little perks of the basketball hoop and axe throwing. We were fortunate enough to be there on a clear night that allowed for perfect stargazing. The surrounding countryside was beautiful adding to the experience. We definitely want to return.

I loved setting up right on the water's edge. The site is big enough for a family reunion so I was able to spread out. Took my GSD and he was pretty relaxed, which is unusual. Can't wait til my next open weekend to go back for more relaxation time. Thanks Nikki for helping me discover my new favorite spot. You campers better all book your weekends here before I do!!

Great spot! Many trails in the area. Fairly secluded. I think there is one other spot but we never saw or heard anyone. Right off the road but there is very little traffic if any. Seasoned firewood included. Looking forward to a return trip.

Moondoggie's is one of the best tent camping experiences we've had in Ohio. I grew up in Ohio but hadn't been to Adams county it is literally like being in a different state, the rolling hills of Appalachia are beautiful, roads are fun to drive with picture worthy views. Lots of rocks with fossils to be found in the river. The owls at night added so much. The night sky is full of stars and a great place to see the milky Way, no light pollution. A lot of camps you don't experience nature as we did at Moondoggie's. Owls, Hawks, Blue Heron, and Beavers. The night sounds of the owls, frogs, cicadas, and crickets was so relaxing.
Our site overlooked the river. The atmosphere was so calm, quiet, relaxing, and very tranquil. The grounds are clean, grass mowed, portapot was clean and odor free.
We took a friend who is recovering from brain cancer surgery he said that this was the best camping trip of his life and was exactly what he needed.
Our host, Nikki is amazing, she is friendly, energetic, and will go out of her way to make sure your stay is as perfect as possible.
This was our first trip of many more to come. I'm a lifelong tent camper and I can say that Moondoggie's is one of the best camping spots in Ohio and if your considering going book your trip you will enjoy it.

It’s a gorgeous spot to be at. Nikki’s super sweet. You can rent a kayak. The water front is a great spot for littles. We have small kids so the water is the perfect depth for them and if you don’t have littles the water gets pretty deep to be able to fully swim. There’s TONS of butterflies there too so we were all just spotting out the butterflies or swimming. It’s a nice little spot to get connected with nature again. My family and I had a blast and Nikki is an amazing host. ❤️

It is obvious he takes exceptional care of his property and we love the peace, quiet and beauty of his Ranch.

Absolutely Amazing!
I could rave about Moondoggie, Nikki and Jamie for ages.
It is a hidden gem in Adam’s County and deserves all the attention it can get. Location of the sites are great! You are overlooking the creek, optimal shade/tree cover, bugs/mosquitos are barely noticeable even though you are close to the water, open grass where your doggo can run and the quiet was sublime.
Walking and exploring the creek was so peaceful. Our dog Indy got to swim for the first time and he loved it so much we’d catch him trying to slink off down towards the creek waiting for us to join him.
Nikki is just great people and is doing so much for the community. I will tell everyone about this site, Moondoggie, and will be back
